Before we were even allowed entry to the store we had to show I.D to prove our age. If you can't do that you wouldn't even know what's inside. Once inside we were very impressed with the products on offer although almost overwhelmed with the possibilities. We had a rough idea what we wanted (far too much but you're not going to a buffet for the salad) and were taken care of by the awesome Rashaun (hope I've spelled that right, thanks dude). It was as easy and straightforward as buying bread and milk, exactly as it should be. The quality was outstanding, very happy with the prices and the service. I've been coming to Herbwell since it first opened, so I'm familiar with how they've handled defective products in the past. I opened my cart late at night and discovered it had leaked all over my bedsheet. I simply wanted to exchange the defective cart. I called Herbwell the next day, and Brenda was the first person I spoke with. She told me the cart couldn't be exchanged and offered me 10% off if I purchased it again. I didn't want a discount--I wanted my defective cart exchanged. I had never heard of a 10% discount policy for defective carts, and in all my time shopping at Herbwell, that had never been presented as the policy. When I called back yesterday, I spoke with Brenda again and asked if I could still use the 10% discount another day since I couldn't make it to the store that day. She then told me she couldn't even give me a discount to begin with. She was extremely rude and insensitive and even told me she "couldn't lose her job over this." When I asked to speak with her manager, she told me my issue wouldn't be resolved and that the manager, Destiny, would tell me the same thing. I called back today (Monday) and spoke with Sophie, the actual store manager. She listened to me, looked at the defective cart, and took care of the situation. I was also informed that the 10% discount Brenda offered was not the store's policy. The actual policy is that defective carts can be exchanged within 7 days of purchase with proof of the issue and a receipt. Thank you, Sophie, for listening and making things right! You turned a very frustrating experience into a positive one. I've been a loyal Herbwell customer since they opened, so this experience with Brenda was extremely disappointing. However, Sophie deserves recognition for handling the situation professionally and taking care of the customer.
