We have been to Nerfed at least a dozen times, with future visits planned! The staff is always kind, and patient with our kids constantly changing their weapon of choice, in the arena they keep it fun and fair. For those who are super into nerf, they have great advice and suggestions for purchasing and modifying nerf guns. We have bought several from nerfed, their prices are better than a big store. I found this place on yelp. We parked right in front. My husband and I took my 4 year old son. The cost was $30 for an hour. Theres a big room with tables and chairs anyone can sit there. You get a vest to decide what team you're on. You choose what gun you want to use. You play with anyone who pays. My son had the best time . It definitely gets out his energy and there's nothing I've ever seen. We left with our son crying because he did not want to leave. I was just on vacation in the area but I wish we had something like this. This place is worth every penny! This was so much fun. read more

Fun arena for kids who love to shoot Nerf guns. Ages five and older. Kids will wear a bright construction worker type vest and safety goggles. They have plenty of cool Nerf guns for you to use if you don't want to bring your own. The vests have pockets in the front that you can stick your nerf bullets in. Kids will takeoff their shoes before entering the arena. Adults are allowed to play as well. We went here for a birthday party and you can have a private room or have the birthday party out on the main table area. They also have some coin operated video games to play. You can bring in your own food for the birthday party. My kids ages five through nine years old and both girls and boys had so much fun. read more

I took my 10-year old son. We paid for unlimited play. I figured we'd stay 1-2 hours. We played for 6, until the place closed. It was non stop action. The referees kept the games moving and adults and kids played together. Everyone was well behaved and the employees managed it well ensuring everyone was playing fair and safe. The only reason we left when we did was because it was closing time Bring your own nerf gun or use theirs. You can swap out your gun at any time for any of the available guns. I went here for work today and it was a blast. They have like 30 plus guns to choose from and the indoor area is perfect for a good battle. They have fun music going and a few arcade games to play. Took my kids to a birthday party tonight at nerfed and it was a cool atmosphere and the kids had a great time until they were ignored by the terrible workers. Both workers were rude to the kids or completely ignored them. The one employee threw a vest at a kid and it landed on the floor and he went right back to chatting with his friends, couldn't be bothered to say sorry or go pick it up for him. He was too busy to be bothered while talking to a group of teenage kids than to help the kiddos with their gun/vest requests. Employees on their phones while waiting for help at the counter etc. not impressed at all with the behaviors of these employees. read more

My son has been to several birthday parties here but this is the first time that I've ever committed to play. The staff was friendly and personable. Space was clean. In between play they were spraying disinfectant/air freshener in the hideouts. (Yay!) The referees were awesome! Kind to the kids and helpful to the moms. You can tell everyone was just having so much fun! $12 for smaller guns $15 for a larger choice. Spring for the latter. Well monitored for good energy and fair play. So. Much. Fun! I want to edit/update my review to reflect the private party we had here. It wasn't a birthday party but it was a group of us who get together weekly with about kiddos and I was so impressed with my open play experience We thought we'd give it a try. Awesome. We felt honored, respected, taken care of...everyone from age 5 to age 45 was represented and the adults loved the play. I totally recommend this for other gatherings not just a birthday party- I will be recommending this to my office as a team building event. We're visiting from California and wanted something fun to do with our 6 year old daughter. Let me tell you this place is AWESOME!!! ALL of the staff were GREAT and the referees were so much fun to play nerf wars with. The owner is really WONDERFUL and cares about his customers, he was always asking if there was anything we needed, or if we were having a good time, and if we didn't like the nerf gun we chose there was never any problem switching guns. We had so much fun and I promise if you try this place out you will to!!! This by far was one of the BEST times my family had!!! Ok.. So a pretty cool place for a snowy Thursday afternoon for the kids to get some Energy out! Reasonably priced $8 Thursday nights till 8:00. This is a low budget operation and interior isn't the best.. But with that said it does seem to bother the kids any.. And a way better place to shot Nerf guns than in my house! It was incredibly busy today. The young men working, though you could tell were pushed to the edge of there ability, were so incredibly courteous and helpful! $12 for unlimited time is so great and the kids could swap out guns anytime they wanted. I took my son to attend a birthday party at NERFED. The kids were having a blast as well as a couple of adults. After watching a couple of hours, and my son not tiring, I decided to join. What a blast. We went non stop for another 3 hours and once the adrenaline wore off, I could barely walk. The furnishings are pretty bare bones, but the ability to try different guns was nice, and the referee/monitors kept things moving. We will be going back for sure! read more

UPDATE: I spoke with one of the owners of Nerfed this evening and he was very nice and helpful. He watched the video and it supported my version of events. He will be doing some employee training which I really appreciate. Just had the most unacceptable experience at Nerfed. My son was physically assaulted by an older kid who grabbed his vest from behind, choking my son, then slammed him into a wall because my son accidentally hit him in the neck with a Nerf dart! AT NERFED! My son had a huge red line and welt across his neck. When I showed the employee the mark on my son, he agreed that he could see it, but did NOTHING. There were several witnesses who said that they saw what the kid did to my son, yet the employee refused to get involved because he didn't personally witness it. What a joke! I will no longer give my money to a business who thinks it's okay for an 11 year old to be assaulted by another customer. Nice job running your business Nick and Andrew.... read more

We come to Boise every summer, and my wife took our three kids to Nerfed yesterday (our first visit was last year -- see review below). They went yesterday (a Thursday) because Nerfed has a Thursday "Unlimited Play for $8" special. Unfortunately, my kids were the only ones there. One of the staff played with them, but the kids got bored and wanted to leave after about an hour. The reason for the 5-star review: The staff realized that the turnout that day was disappointing and gave my wife a coupon for free play any other day and time. They suggested that we call ahead just to make sure there were other kids there. This was a great example of people going above and beyond with customer service. My kids definitely want to go back, and Nerfed is a great place to let them run around wild. I was very impressed with the service we received there. Thank you, Nerfed staff. read more

We have been here a few times. We love the idea of the place, and it's always great for a laugh and workout for our large family. We have had Andrew and Austin as referees, and they are both awesome. They always interact with the kids in a positive and patient way, and I truly appreciate that! We had a chat with Austin about spinner fidgets, and just really felt like his customer service was above and beyond. Unfortunately there is one employee who really hurt our opinion of this business. I didn't get his name, but he has longer hair and tattoos on his forearms, and worked on 5/24. We watched him pelt children as hard as he could with darts and broken pieces both during the game, and while they were on the wall waiting for the round to start, and adults in our party who were hit by him said they actually hurt. He was grouchy and sarcastic with the kids, and if one accidentally caught him in crossfire he would aggressively target them. He was rude when handing out nerf guns, and just interacted poorly with everyone in general. He also smoked right outside the garage door in the nerf gym and made the entire place reek of smoke. I hate to have to mark Nerfed so low because of one employee, but I want parents to know what to expect. read more
