They offer a variety of toys from the classics to unique things I have never seen before just begging me to take out of the packaging and play with. I loved that they even had a section dedicated to road trip activities. I spent some time chatting with Anna, a Playmaker at POP. She told me all about the owner, Alison and how POP was created. They go through great lengths to curate their shop with unique interactive toys that aren't usually picked up by the big name online or physical retail stores (think Amazon, Target, etc). They have lots to touch and play with at kid level and there were several kids that seemed to be enjoying making their wish list! They even have a mailbox set up where kids can make their wish list for their birthday, Christmas, or just for fun! Letting your kid pick out a toy online just isn't the same - a stop at POP will ignite their imagination and maybe spark your's along the way too!

I got friendly help as I browsed. Everything inside was charming - if a little pricey, but I think that's to be somewhat expected at local specialty boutiques. Clothes, toys, decor, accessories, boy stuff, girl stuff - this place has a little bit of everything. I walked out with a stuffed animal (bonus - the company gives a second animal to a child in the hospital) as well as a hair bow and headband. The gift also got some complimentary ribbon and tissue paper. I'll be back when the occasion calls, for certain.

I ordered the chicken & dumplings and it was absolute perfection. The broth was rich and cozy, the dumplings were soft and pillowy, and the chicken was tender and flavorful. It's exactly what you want on a cold, snowy evening -- the kind of meal that warms you all the way down to your toes. I also picked up their "healing soup" (roasted garlic and ginger) for a friend who wasn't under the weather, and she LOVED it. She said it was soothing, flavorful, and exactly what she needed. Honestly, that's the kind of food that feels like a hug in a bowl. On top of the amazing food, the staff was so knowledgeable and genuinely friendly. Entry is $7 a person and if you sign up on the website for reminders you'll get coupon codes for $1 off. This is basically a huge craft show with like 100+ vendors who are mostly small, local crafters (some with a huge following of people who routinely come for their items every year - snowman lady anyone?!), food, and nice people. We stood in a few long lines for some of the famous snowmen (my mom loves them) and made friends along the way. Everyone was so friendly! It fills the entire main area and there are so many wonderful things to see. There are so many displays of craft and creativity all themed around the holidays. It's wonderful. If you are in the area and looking for something fun to do for a few hours on black Friday or Saturday after Thanksgiving - this is it!

Entrance was organized well. Tickets can be purchased at the door, and you'll receive a hand stamp for re-entry during the day. The actual craft show was huge. Rows upon rows of vendors. Many jewelry designers, arts, crafts of all kinds, plus plenty of dessert options. Food was available on site as well, but we opted to go elsewhere to eat. It was a good place to spend a few hours, albeit packed, but that was expected.
