I had never heard of neurofeedback before until a coworker told me about it and recommended this office in particular. My daughter has general developmental delay, and when I started to take her to this office (at 1 year and 2 months old), she couldn't keep her head up unless she was completely supported, she was extremely irritable (did not handle transitions well), and did not focus her vision on anything at all, not even my face. She had been receiving physical, occupational, and speech therapy since she was 7 months old, but progress had been very slow. When I got to Neotherapy, I received a consultation with Dr. Villegas about my daughter. He explained that neurofeedback would enable my daughter to absorb the work from her other therapies much more quickly. That is exactly what has happened. She has continued to receive traditional therapies in addition to neurofeedback and has progressed more quickly than before. She now lifts up her head, open her eyes and focuses on objects a lot more than before. She's more alert and her irritability has almost completely disappeared.
In addition to the benefits of the therapy itself, I really enjoy being there. Monica and Angela are wonderful and make me feel at home every time I go. I feel that my daughter is loved there, and that makes all the difference. Monica (the technician) is also very open with what she does, involves me in my daughter's treatment and answers any questions I have. She receives training at least twice a year in national conventions, and she always comes back with new ideas that she thinks of how to apply to my daughter's treatment. I feel respected and involved, and that means a lot to me. read more
