I read a Yelp review that stated Barbi, the nurse/office manager/appointment giver/prescription…read moreexecuter - all roads lead to Barbi - is a liar. I don't know if she is, so you decide if she is a liar or if the doctor has little care for his patients, or at least me. I'm the person who baked holiday cookies for them at my first appointment, after chatting with Barbi when I made the appointment and who gifted Barbi's two big dogs huge dog toys. Since becoming a patient 3 months ago, I contacted the office with 2 requests - once when I was having significant issues stemming from being undermedicated and once when I was having serious side effects, for weeks, after trying to 'get used to' the meds. Both times I spoke with Barbi and, per her suggestion, emailed her with detailed info to help the doctor understand my issues. Both times Barbi told me that she'll tell the doctor/the doctor "is aware" of my inquiry/"the doctor will call you today". I never got a call from the doctor. I also saw on the patient portal that they put another patient's info in my chart - I only wish I was 5'7" but the 16" neck I can do without. They also put down results of exams I didn't have - at my first and only in-person appointment, since they prefer virtual appointments, no one took my vitals. So some other patient's height, weight, blood pressure, and BMI are in my record. Even though I was not assessed for cardiovascular, respiratory, balance, reflexes, gait, sleep, psychiatric, etc. abilities, my patient record shows that I was assessed. My medical history and dosage of my one daily med was inaccurate and when I emailed screen shots of inaccurate info, Barbi didn't make changes. I finally emailed her a list of the issues and she removed the info instead of correcting it. During my last virtual appointment, I told the doctor my one daily med is still showing at half the dose I take. Barbi never fixed it. I don't think that the doctor and nurse are horrible people, but I question their actual concern for the patient, at least when I was the patient. Was. As in I didn't appreciate the lip service and lack of concern for me. When we don't feel well or have a condition that requires treatment, we are at the mercy of the medical profession. I learned to put more emphasis on PROFESSION, as in professional. When I asked myself, "do I feel that this is the height of professional care?"I FLED from their office, that was on day 4 after I reported concerning issues and the doctor STILL hadn't contacted me as Barbi promised. So, you decide if one is a liar or if one is unprofessional and disinterested in providing actual care. When I forwarded another doctor my email sent to Dr. Steinberg about the side effects, that doctor immediately scheduled a virtual appointment that day and prescribed a different medication. Night meet day. I went from one doctor whose office sluggishly promised action and then did nothing, to another doctor who couldn't help me enough. And beware, Dr. Steinberg gets paid the negotiated rate from the insurance company and then seeks the balance of his nearly $600 per session fee from the patient. Wow, questionable service doesn't come cheap.

Based on the information below, I would never recommend Dr. Ramesh Gopalaswamy. I would suggest not…read moreusing him as your Neurologist. In fact, I am reporting Dr. Ramesh Gopalaswamy to the Florida Department of Health, Division of Medical Quality Assurance. I was referred to Dr. Bruce Zaret by my podiatrist, only to find out that Dr. Zaret had recently retired. Instead, I met with Dr. Ramesh Gopalaswamy. Dr. Ramesh Gopalaswamy has the worst bedside manner of any MD or DO I have seen in my life. He does NOT take the time to explain anything that you don't ask him about. In other words, you must ask questions even about a basic diagnosis because he won't offer the information. He rushes from one patient to another and is not warm or comforting and without any empathy whatsoever! Because Dr. Ramesh Gopalaswamy does not communicate well verbally and does not explain much, I decided after my 2nd visit to ask my questions/comments via the portal so that everything is explained correctly and documented. I specifically requested that all responses be in writing via the portal and not by phone. Dr. Ramesh Gopalaswamy did not respect my request and instead called me to discuss my questions. I did not accept the phone call as I do want everything documented. You don't need to read the details of my questions below, but if you do, you will note that these are questions that are not extraordinary. They are simply questions that will allow me to make educated medical decisions now and in the future. #1 - Today 8/19/25, You mentioned that my RNP Antibodies number was slightly high, but you did not include that in the Encounters or Assessments section of the portal information or on the printed version of the script for the rheumatologist. Why not? You specifically told me to mention this to the rheumatologist. #2 - In the Assessments section you have the same copy/text for every single diagnosis for my 7/18/25 and 8/19/25 visits including the new items listed - Polyarthralgia (ICD-10 - M25.50) and Rheumatoid factor positive (ICD-10 - R76.8). Why? I need the specific information relating to each diagnosis to be included for the specific diagnosis. #3 - On the progress notes for both 7/18/25 and 8/19/25 you listed many subcategories which have Details and Notes written next to each item for example: Cardiovascular: No cardiac murmurs. Why do you have information listed here, as you did NOT listen to my heart with a stethoscope on either visit! The same applies to all other items listed in this section. #4 - In the notes for both visits, you stated: The patient denies any symptoms of dysautonomia such as dry mouth, urinary retention or GI dysmotility. During my call to you AFTER my 7/18/25 visit, I specifically stated that you did not ask me about dry mouth, which I do have, and you stated you would change this information in the portal for the 7/18/25 visit, and you did not! Why not? #5 On my initial visit, you stated that I don't have any type of neuropathy. In the Assessments section you state that I do have distal paresthesia as per the definition below that I found online. The definition below does not include burning feet, so I don't know what your diagnosis of distal paresthesia applies to. Definition I found online using AI: Distal paresthesia refers to an abnormal sensation, often described as tingling, prickling, or numbness, that occurs in the extremities, particularly the hands and feet. It's a type of neuropathy, meaning nerve dysfunction, and can be a symptom of various underlying conditions. The term "distal" signifies that the symptoms are more pronounced in the limbs. #6 Towards the end of the 2nd appointment, I asked you to write down what we discussed for pain management. You mentioned an epidural and some other type of test. You never wrote any of this information down for me, and you never included it in any location in the portal. Why not? I still don't know the name of the other type of test. #7 Why did you bring someone into the room during my visit today 8/19/25? I assume she is a medical student. The courteous thing to do would have been to tell me who she is, and why she is there and most importantly ask my permission for a stranger to be in the room. Every MD I have seen in the past that has a medical student in the room has asked for permission. According to my research in the State of Florida, you are required to obtain a patient's permission before you can have a medical student in the room #8 Towards the end of the 2nd appointment, you stated you would come back to the room with a list of referral doctors etc. and you did not. Instead, you had one of your employees hand the information to me. I had questions for you but was unable to ask them because you hurried to your next patient #9 Maximum amount of characters used I want a written answer to every item 1-9 above so that everything is documented for my future review. Do not call me to discuss these items

They are very unprofessional. I have sent three e-mails via their portal and they dont even respond.
