I have called ever day for the last 8 days no one answers their phones or returns messages. When I did call back after waiting 5 days, I was told "We didn't call you back because we need a referral ". I told him it would have been helpful if someone would have called to let me know this. I had an Urgent care facility fax them the referral on Saturday, I called today to confirm they received it. They said their fax receipt is 24hrs because the fax is electronic. Really? Normally electronic is faster than a fax machine. Finally I asked for a Supervisor and she said their normal turn times for new Patients is appx. 3-4 weeks but she would confirm and call me back tomorrow. ( what's another day after waiting 9days when I am is so much psi. And can't walk). The Supervisor also told me they aren't answering their phones because they are all on the phones. I said ok but why can't they return their messages? The reception/people who answer the phones are unprofessional, no experience and lack concern for patients. I have never complained as I know I'm not the only person waiting. I would not use Neospine, if Dr Allen was not there. He is best foot Dr. Unfortunately he works out of this office. If they truly wanted to help people in pain they would return calls and at least act like they care about new patients. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I was referred to Neospine about a month ago for a herniated disc. I repeatedly called, and left messages as instructed. I called multiple locations and left messages and multiple locations over the course of a week trying to get scheduled. Never heard back from them, and ended up getting a new referral through MultiCare and got scheduled same day. Super frustrating experience as I was out of work due to the injury and their customer service is non existent. read more

I did receive one call back just telling me to go back through the whole process of calling and leaving messages again - this time with zero calls back. My experience with my doctor and with the clinic was great. My surgery went well and I am pain free. The reason for the low rating is all about money. I was referred here by my primary care provider, Neospine received approval for surgery from Regence. However no one told me that this provider was out of network. Neospine should have informed me of this at the time they took my insurance ID card or when they received pre-approval. I had no reason to suspect they were out of network. This means my financial responsibility was way more than expected. I can see where they will say it is my ultimate responsibility to check, however I think their failure to be transparent is unethical. They also fail to inform you that you'll have to pay for the surgery center charges on the day of the surgery, so be prepared. read more

Thanks for taking such great care of my husband! He had a really tough cervical surgery and beginning to end everyone at Neospine was great. Office folks were friendly and helpful, lots of checks and balances along the way and the staff obviously know what they are doing and work as a team. After working with Dr. Mohit and spending hundreds/ thousands of dollars - he proceeded to tell me he can't do anything and he can't give me any next steps to help my low back pain after surgery. He sent me to his pain clinic and Helene was awesome at first. The front desk do not help, lie about talking to the doctor and make it impossible to stick to my pain management plan. They made me come in for another appointment that was "waste of time"- Dr.s words exactly. And now I have to pay for a visit that took 2 minutes. After multiple injections, they messed up on my sedation and continued to call me a "smart aleck" because I told them that they miscommunicated the information to me incorrectly. I am seeking another pain management and surgeon to help continue with my pain. Waste of time and money. read more

I have had a change in sensation from my knee down for approx two solid months. I cannot feel most of my toes and have some significant nerve pain. My Doctor sent a referral to this office approx 3 weeks ago. They called 01/16 and I missed the call due to a different medical appointment. I have called back multiple times. You cannot get a live person. It also says do not leave multiple messages. So, I refrained. Their message says that someone will get back to you within 48 hours. After a business week, with still no call I worked my way thru their phone tree and I got a staff member. I explained I was having a surgery on the 27th and needed to be seen. Scheduled. She said someone would get back to me. It is the 30th. I still have not heard from anyone in this office. If the office staff cannot do their job, I am not sure how I could trust the doctors in this office with my healthcare. I will be asking my primary doctor for a new referral to an office that can actually respond to their referrals. Terrible terrible experience! There is no excuse for this lack of customer service. Update: Feb 4th has come and gone still no call. This medical office clearly needs some management. read more

Both Dr. Mohit and Dr. Nwoso, need a refresher on how to read MRI's and MRI reports. The facility staff is friendly when you have a chance to talk to them, they don't answer or return calls in any manner. they had me chasing my tail doing tests and procedures and all they needed to do is look at the MRI - or have someone competent look at them, cost me over 20K before I realized the incompetence. writing this in the hope to keep this from happening to others. read more

My Neurosurgeon referees me to Kathy Wang in early February. It is now two months later and despite 6-7 calls and left messages I cannot get anyone to call back. I physically walked into the clinic after I confirmed referral sent to make an appt. Guess what...someone said someone would have to call me. That makes so much sense right? Why help a referred patient right in front of you. I did receive one call but when you call you are FORCED to leave a message as a new patient which I did. Their voicemail promises a call back in 48 hrs LOL! I'm hoping 48 days. Terrible service not sure if just my experience burn based on low reviews I read later online I'm not the only one. My Neurologist referred me to Dr. Iyenagar after he heard what happened. Which has been a much better experience, and so if you are having the same challenges with Kathy's people ask for a referral to Dr. Iyengar! read more

Won't be going back. Certain office personal not so nice, actually a little rude. Left messages on 3 occassion with no return calls. Placed on hold and was for gotten about, finally hanging up after 7mins and 45 seconds. The surgeon seem to take this personal, yes the surgeon. That I wasn't even complaining about. Still trying to figure that one out. I received a call the next day telling us the surgeon wanted to see us again about moving up the surgery. They scheduled us for 12:30, during their lunch and arrived 15mins early as requested. We were called back to the room to sit & wait until they returned. We both believe this done to waste our time. Finally talking with them, it was suggested that we approach the surgery from a different angle. Instead of the hospital stay and addressing all issues. It was suggested we do the day surgery which wouldn't fix everything. I interrupted him to ask why go this approach to have another surgery? He replied, if you would let me finish explaining. Then telling us he thinks it would be best if he sends us to another surgeon. If you could see his actions and the way he handled himself you would feel the same we do. He's arrogant and clearly does not like being interrupted. He did this to us on the first appointment too. Their intention was to send us to someone else the whole time. Stressing this is just our opinion, but this person expects when talking, not to be interrupted what so ever. We think, they think, we should bow down to them and thank our lucky stars that they are willing to even talk to us. Yes he THINKS he better than almost anyone. Very dishonest practice. Told me I had to have multiple procedures otherwise insurance would not approve. After contacting my insurance company I learned that the additional procedures were not necessary. Also, it takes months to get an appointment. Would not recommend Dr. Wang or Helens Deshane. read more

My first appointment reassured me that they really do want to help me with my chronic pain. The genuinely care and that makes me feel great. Have been to other pain management places and they have done nothing or made things worse. I am so excited for the future with NeoSpine and working towards being pain free. My doctor sent over my chart info and the referral for me to get in to see someone there, after 5 weeks, my doctors office faxing them the info, multiple times, and talking to someone on the phone about it, they STILL have not called me to schedule. I called (again) today and was finally able to get someone on the phone and she very rudely informed me that they still do not have my information. But they can call and request it... At that point, I gave up. I have absolutely no interest in being a patient here. How can this place expect to have happy clients when they can't even manage to call someone back? Who in the world would want to put their health in the hands of these people? They can't manage even the simplest of tasks!!!! read more

Neospine clinic in Puyallup is an administrative disaster. No one actually answers the phone or returns phone calls. It took me 5 phone calls and 8 days to actually GET a first appointment and generally, the staff sounded very unwelcoming and put out that they had to talk to me. Same thing in person...rather abrupt and very cold, like I was bothering them. After filling out all the patient forms on their portal (at home), they told me I still had to be there an hour before my first appointment??? Why? They had two signature forms to sign. Took me all of 3 minutes to complete! I guess they think the patients have nothing better to do then waste time in their waiting room in the middle of a pandemic. That really makes a lot of sense! They need to answer the phone and get rid of that message line. The clinical staff was nicer than the administrative staff! That's a first. While I was waiting, the staff at the front didn't really treat anyone else that came in for appointments any better than they treated me so at least I know that it wasn't personal. read more

Not sure if Dr. Wohns is a great Dr surgeon because I cannot get his office staff to follow thru and get approval from Aetna. To the insurance's credit they appear to be doing all they can to resolve the issue and reaching out to his office but no one from his office seems to want to follow thru. I guess they have all the business they can handle so no need to fight for those who cannot sail thru the insurance approval issues. Military moving us and I will unfortunately need to start over in another location. Have never been so frustrated in my life dealing with a Doctors office. If only they put half the effort into this as I have the surgery would already be done. It is as if they have never worked with Aetna before to get approval for a neck fusion because if they did they would know how to present the case to get it approved. Dr. Wohns performed an artificial disk surgery on me, and I am now able to do all sorts of athletic activities that were impossible before! I'm hiking, running, biking, and I couldn't be happier. I heavily researched all the Neurosurgeons on the West Coast, and no one was more highly recommended than Dr. Richard Wohns. I am incredibly picky, naturally, about such a incredibly weighty decision, but I couldn't have been happier. If you need a neurosurgeon, than Dr. Wohns is the absolute best. read more

I want to start out by saying that the clinical group that I dealt with - Dr Wohns and his PA Nate Boykin - were excellent. Absolutely no complaints on that end. They kept us informed during surgery and post-op and were clearly very talented. But the admin office staff of Neospine, not so much. Borderline incompetent, to be honest. Terrible at communication, didn't tell me anything (Such as that I was responsible for following up with internal medical documentation and clearances, which to me seems like a peer-to-peer office function. But if you want to dump that work on me, at least tell me about it). This caused a delay in surgery of 3 months, during which time the back situation deteriorated, causing an unnecessarily complicated nerve tear and spinal fluid leak. Some of the staff I had to speak with were borderline rude, and one hung up on me. Admittedly I was expressing my frustration at the time, but still. Hard to get a call back from them. Made appointments without telling me. If I could separate the functions, I would give 5 stars for Wohns/Boykin, and 1 star for the office. read more

i loved this office at first.. received great care pre surg.. after surg there were still some challenges.. surgeon sent me back to pain clinic after making sure his job was ok.. pain clinic has not responded in three weeks.. have left two messages for office manager.. yet to be returned either.. cant figure out what i did wrong to them.. so its time to move on to better service.. ive heard there is a law that they just cant quit seeing you..will have to check into it.. good luck! read more
