Extremely attentive at first visit. Scheduled surgery and was told on the way to the operating room…read morethat he may not be able to help with one of the vertebraes that was broken. I wish he would have told me that at the preop. I would have gotten another opinion. I asked him to do his best but it still isn't right. The cement also leaked out during surgery! When I asked about what could go wrong at the preop, leakage was his answer. When I asked how often this happens, he replied that he's done over 3,000 and never had it happen. Hard to believe I was his first of over 3,000. The other vertebrae hasn't caused any problem since the surgery. Rather than seeing the doctor for my post op he sent me to his assistant. I never saw him after surgery or since.

(My new neurosurgeon had presented my case to a team of his cohorts, and they came to this conclusion together.) Keem's office consistently fails to provide pre-op and intra-operative photos to members of my care team who request them; multiple neurosurgeons have tried. No one except Keem's office has seen them. Context is included in my two reviews below this one. Keem allowed me to feel like it was hopeless, that the disc would "continue" slipping indefinitely due to the default of my own body. Keem looked me in the eyes and lied to my face the two times he had the courage to show his face to me after his failed surgery (and one of these was a presumably forced meeting facilitated by the Polyclinic's risk management department). He's unscrupulous, which a surgeon should never be. I wouldn't trust him with a houseplant. I've had innumerable complications as a result of this failed surgery. My career as a dancer is over. I've chipped multiple teeth from my post-op convulsions. I've gotten a diagnosis of PTSD. I'm going to be different for the rest of my life. I'm moving forward with a lawsuit.

This is a wonderful medical office and Dr Mohit is brilliant. I had an extremely involved spine…read moresurgery and came thru it beautifully. He takes the time to answer all your questions and explains in simplest terms so you fully understand. When he's in the office with you he is totally focused on you and your problems. I thot the "Bedside manner" was a thing of the past but it is alive and well in Dr Mohit. I highly recommend Dr Mohit and everyone here. If I ever need to have surgery again or any of my family members he will be the surgeon. 100 stars

Like Dr. Mohitt. Very informative and easy to talk with. Has excellent schooling for spine…read moresurgeries and quite educated in the field so felt comfortable with him. The administrative staff is less than desirable . Not very friendly and does not call you back. Waited two weeks to get phone call for scheduling my injection. However when I called them to find out when I could schedule my injection, they said that the approval from my insurance still has not come back. I called my insurance immediately and they said that they had just received the request for the procedure within minutes after I got off the phone with the spine center. My insurance said that they would process this claim and get it back to them promptly. I then had to call back the spine center a week later to find out when I could come in for my injection. I was then scheduled for my injection a week later. They are not on top of their paperwork and procedures at all in the front office. Nor do they take responsibility when they have made a mistake. I would suggest that if you use this center, be proactive in scheduling your appointments and be proactive with your insurance so that you get the care that you deserve because the doctor is a great doctor.

Working with Dr. Cobbs during a really scary medical event made the process so much more bearable!…read moreHe is kind, listens well, explains things simply, and made time to answer myself and my family's questions. Not only did he do a great job on my craniotomy (no small feat!), he made me feel human and was so compassionate. I cannot recommend him and his team enough! After surgery he explained well what happened and his office answered my questions quickly via MyChart. No one else I'd trust with my actual brain! And the research work he does is incredibly inspiring, going above simply working with patients to advance care for others. Thank you Dr. Cobbs and team!

Dr Cobbs is supposed to be a brain tumor expert. His first question was "So why are you here to see…read moreme today?" He didn't pick up on my sarcasm, when I chuckled, told him it was a worry when a specialist doesn't know why a patient is there to see them, then I said, "Well, we could start with the brain tumor." He told me that my chronic headaches, which sometimes feel like my eye is being pushed out, was unrelated to my tumor, that my vision changes were unrelated to my tumor, the frontal lobe where my brain tumor is has nothing to do with higher level math or communication. He told me that he could be 100% certain it was a benign meningioma from imaging. He said he could be certain the other tumors were unrelated: three breast tumors with discordant pathology/radiology, a contrast enhanced extradural spinal mass, and Drs trying to determine if I have a single adrenal tumor or bilateral, and others. He didn't ask me about any other symptoms - such as the toe twitching that recently started. My husband started worrying when he started to repeatedly beat me at Carcassonne, which used to be 1/6 games. My son thought the tumor explained some of my personality changes. The worst, Dr Cobbs claimed that 10% of all women have this type of brain tumor! My husband joined us (via FB messenger). Afterwards, he said, "Did he just say that 10% of all women have meningioma brain tumors? I'll have to look that up." Both my husband and I have done scientific research. I even wrote to Dr Cobbs to make sure we got his message right (attached). In the communication, he then said that higher level math was in the area of concern. I'm an applied mathematician. Women beware!!!!
