This is the second time my daughter has given this salon a chance, and we are both so disappointed. She went in for a specific nail design and even showed a picture for inspiration. The lady assured her she could do it, but the end result looks nothing like what was promised it honestly looks like it was done with a Sharpie. What makes this worse is that my daughter was too scared to speak up for herself in the moment, and she came home crying. It's heartbreaking to see her so overwhelmed and upset over something that was supposed to make her feel happy and confident. From what we were told, only one person here even attempts nail designs, which is a huge problem if that person can't deliver on what they say they can do. I understand designs may not come out identical to a picture, but this wasn't even close it was sloppy and cheap-looking. I would not recommend this place if you're looking for quality nail art or caring service. read more

I have passed this nail salon many times on my walk with my dog and kept telling myself I needed to check it out based on how nice it looked. Luckily, I was having a pretty down day and decided to treat myself today. I did not have an appointment and was a walk-in. I signed my name on the book in the front and quickly took a seat. I arrived at Neo's around 3:40. About 10 minutes later I was told someone would be with me shortly and I could soak my feet until that person was ready. To be honest, that locked me in. If I was stuck sitting in the waiting area for as long as I did I probably would have left. I was seen around 4:25 which is roughly 35 minutes later. I can't complain, I didn't have an appointment and I was enjoying soaking my feet. I've seen a lot of bac complaints about the regular mani-pedi experience so was skeptical, however, I had to try for myself. It's still the first day so I don't know how long it would last but Lin took great care of me and my nails looked great after I left the salon. She even noticed one nail was messed up and took it all off to do it over. The salon smells really good, it's very clean, relaxing music is playing and you get some white noise from the waterfall fountain. The places feels very tranquil. It is a small place but it's not compact. My favorite experience was getting a lemon squeezed on my feet, I don't know why lol but it was definitely cool. The result has always been beautiful and I receive tons of compliments. Su does my acrylic nails and nail design and is a GEM. She has great advice about what nail shape will look good with your hands, and her freestyle designs are gorgeous. I've gotten several pedicures with Loan. Absolutely wonderful woman and will give you every minute promised for those massages. Lisa has also been a wonderful manicurist and produces really pretty designs with foil. I cannot rave enough about this place. The inside is elegantly decorated and peaceful - great for relaxing after a hectic day. When my friend and I discussed going somewhere else due to a time crunch, that was when we were immediately serviced. I needed my nails done for graduation so I made a reservation with Yen through their website. I asked for a almond shaped acrylic set with glitter and showed Yen a reference from a Pinterest image. She did just that! She also went out her way to look for the glitter that was identical to the picture I showed her. Yen is careful and sweet and made sure I had perfect nails foe graduation. For those who just do their nails occasionally, I recommend to do dip power because its airy and light. It wil help your nails stronger. Love everything about this place. Since I have moved to San Jose, I have visited a far share of nail salons. Many which do not properly sanitize and disinfect tools before use on another client. I appreciate coming to Neos and being assured that I will not be stuck with a toe/foot infection after my visit. (All tools are sanitized and sealed in a box on the bottom rack of their tool rack, rather than loose tools in pencil box like most place). Although this place is more pricey than the other salons in the area, the quality is worth every penny. The technicians are always nice and friendly. Update: Hannah did what she said she would, grew my nails long and strong. The second picture is my nails four weeks out! Today we changed it up. I love how she takes her time to make my nails look amazing! Walked in off the street because my previous gel mani from another salon had chipped and fallen off after two weeks and my nails were in poor shape. Susan kindly removed the remaining polish and helped them look better in a short amount of time. Yesterday I went back and Hannah helped me do powder for the first time. She was so patient and educated me through the process and is helping me grow my nails back to long and healthy again. Even though my nails were so short, she still made them look amazing. Got my nails done here earlier this week. My nails are very crooked and the paint is sooo thick and very bumpy and wasn't dry after 2 hours. It was so thick that the polish chipped easily so I had to remove all the nail polish and it's just Friday. My pedicure was pretty much the same. I have a open wound on one toe from the woman scrubbing so hard and the polish looks messy. I'll find a new salon. read more

The monthly ritual of a pedicure has become a bit more complicated these days. Neo's is my favorite. We have been here twice and they are super accommodating and gracious. For an experience, the other day we ventured to an out of the way place and just turned around and walked out. We hightailed it over to Neo's as we know it is clean and comfortable. Everyone is very aware of keeping a distance. They had plastic screens and kept an appropriate distance. The seats are well separated and everyone has a mask. You take the small color charts and list of services to the seat. You can start getting the warm water soak while deciding. There is no milling around the entry. I love this. I made an appointment for a manicure and pedicure. While the place has a nice atmosphere, I was very unhappy with the results of my manicure. Almost every nail was filed at a slant and damn near to blood, they were so short. I had one broken nail and she filed all of my nails to match that one's length. When I asked her to fix the slant, she told me that I had asked for curved nails. But what she gave me was not curved, let alone even. When she told me she was done, I asked if she could clean up the excess polish from around each nail, which she did a little bit but didn't get all of it. I decided not to nitpick. When I checked out, I showed what my nails looked like, and I was handed a nail file to fix it myself. I stood in front of the cashier while I filed my nails. I was only asking for a slight discount on the manicure but not the pedicure, as I was very happy with that service.
