They are kind, hardworking people, and they always go the extra mile for their customers. If you're redoing your yard, home, or have any kind of outdoor project, they are the people to go to! They have a massive selection of rocks, soils, sands, boulders, plants, and even a super cute boutique! (Which not enough people know about!) If you don't have a way of transporting your bulk material, yes, they deliver! I'm going to miss working at an environment this friendly. Check them out!!

Since recently moving to the area, I have been by The Flower Store three times shopping for items…read moreto decorate my new home; unfortunately not one time has anyone offered to help me - ever. There has always been plenty of activity within earshot in the back, I assume while they're working on flower orders; the storefront clearly is not the priority which is surprising because it is filled to the brim with lots of beautiful, expensive things so I know he's got a lot invested in it. I could have easily purchased what I needed online, but wanted to support a local retailer in my new hometown, and even though they did have what I was looking for this last visit (for less than I had seen online) I was so annoyed by being ignored a 3rd time in a row, I left empty handed and gave my business to an online retailer in the end. I don't know what I - a middle-aged woman in work attire - did to give them the impression that I wasn't a serious customer. I understand this is a college town, and maybe they're used to the college kids not being able to afford their nice things, but college kids have parents, like me, who can. I recommend, at the very least, the store get a bell on their door, and when it rings, acknowledge the people who are attempting to patronize you; that, alone, would have resulted in my business.

My mom and step-dad are building a house and wanted sinks that really stood out. Owen, Bill, Austin and Jimmy all stopped what they were doing and gave us their full attention. They were moving these heavy petrified wood sinks around and never once lost patience with my indecisive mama hahahah. One drawback is that your creation can get pretty pricey quickly so if you're a pennypincher like me, it might behoove you to discuss your budget with the staff (this is encouraged) or ask about the cost of things. There are also events like wine and cupcake night, so I predict a return trip sometime in my future.
