It turned out that he would need ongoing treatment. Then after we were able to get him out of the woods and on the road to treatment my bill total close to $2,000 and is still rising. The office staff was for the most part polite and kind. The doctors that we saw were helpful as well. But one member of the staff at this office and one at the Chester office we're consistently rude despite the fact that I have paid well over a thousand dollars of my bill in the last 2 weeks since this has started. Today I needed help and they refused to help unless I was able to pay for that service totaling over $100 today. Despite the fact that I paid an additional $250 on the bill just yesterday. When I spoke with their Chester office it was discovered that all of the office visits in Chester we're five dollars less then the office visits in Susanville. But I was being charged the extra $5 no matter which office I visited. The lady in the Chester office simply replied that she didn't have time to argue with me. This has been the regular treatment that I have received in regards to my bill. Nothing but rudeness and snippy attitudes. I am simply trying to save my dogs life. Now, I want to be clear that the other staff and the veterinarians has been nothing but kind, and helpful even so far as the doctor who owns both practices trying to give me plenty of time to pay my bill but being rudely told by one of these women that no I had to pay it now , it is simply these two women that run the financial ends of these offices, which I believe are mother and daughter, that are rude and inconsiderate and most of the time. You would think that a person who managed to come up with well over a thousand dollars in two weeks just to pay them would be treated with a little bit more respect and dignity. I wish we had more options but there is only one other veterinarian within a hundred miles and he simply doesn't have the facility to deal with this kind of case. If I had any other choice I would take it. Sorry for such a negative review to all the people that were kind and helpful I do appreciate you.

When we saw in the waiting room he asked what I wanted to do for her UTI and I was like idk your the vet. so he said antibiotics for a week and walked out less than 5 minute. charged me 80 bucks. then the antibiotics he prescribed were 40 bucks for 21 pill. I had all ready paid but I looked up the price on chewy for the same antibiotics and it was 9 bucks I asked to return them they said I couldn't because I had already purchased them. I ended up paying 140 bucks for an unprofessional horrible visit . will never be going there again I recommend everyone stay away as well.

I have been waiting to write this post because the people at this business upset me and my son so…read moremuch. I brought in an owl that got hit at night because it flew into the windshield and I didn't know where to take it. People suggested that I take him to a local vet so I brought him to this vet. They said that his leg was so shattered that he wouldn't be able to use it again and that they were going to have to put him down all because of his leg. There was NOTHING ELSE WRONG WITH HIM! He was BEAUTIFUL and had the kindest eyes. There were many other options of places I could have taken him, just not in my immediate area... but they were not going to let me have him back. I even said that I would take care of him. I had promised him all night long that if he made it through the night I would find somebody to help him. I regret bringing him to these people who are supposed to love animals and help them and all because I didn't have money they put him down. It didn't seem like the actual veterinarian had any care in the world about it; he didn't seem at all empathetic. My son even swears he saw the very smile when he said they were going to put him down ..One of the people that was there helping him was very rude as well. I will NEVER take any animal here and I don't suggest anybody else does either. It just seemed so cold and they flat out didn't care. Me and my son were crying as we were leaving and I wish every day I had made them give me the owl back so that he could have lived. UPDATE: Since this horrible occurrence, it has come to light that they have done this with other people and their animals. I actually spoke with some one who brought her dog in and they took one look at him and said he needed to be put down! Well thank GOODNESS she was much wiser than me and told them no way and took him to another vet. The other vet gave her dog antibiotics along with follow up care and he lived another FOUR YEARS!
