Typically, these expensive "board and trains" we've participated in have ended with medication recommendations and a "good luck". One final trainer recommended we try Mind Of Dog because she also wasn't able to break through. I'm so grateful we did. He's thriving and comes home exhausted. An added bonus is the people training we've received. The best part of all of it, is that he's finally getting the exercise and structure he's always needed and deserves. They handle the dogs calmly, but with lots of structure and clear boundaries, which our dog desperately needs. We can finally go to work and travel without worrying that he's being mishandled or ignored. We're so grateful to have found this place and I have to admit, I was waiting for him to fail again, because we had lost all hope. While during Covid I understand if no one can go inside. I still have yet to actually SEE the veterinarian. I'm shocked that they didn't even have an automatic message. I can't even find an email address online to send this directly to you instead of leaving a review online. I will legitimately NEVER go back. Each trip is like $350-750 for a HEALTHY dog anyway. I love the receptionist who treats my cats like the princes they are. On the most recent visit he assisted the vet to hold one of my cats during an injection/examination and he calmed the nervous Mr Peppermint (not easy!). It is an efficient and well set up small office. They follow up with phone calls to update me on my cats test results, and explain clearly. They are a sweet team of people who seem to be working well together to make the experience good for a nervous cat owner like myself. The place does not seem "clinical" but is a nicely appointed more home like environment.

It was like being in our own home. There was a fish tank, bookshelves, etc. My husband thought it was a bit over the top, but I can see how dogs would find it much more comforting than a cat would. Molly was peaceful and calm. She was allowed to be in her carrier after the initial catheter procedure. She didn't like the catheter in her leg, but otherwise it was much better than lying on a hard metal table. We opted to let her gently fall asleep and then left the room for her final moment.
