I brought my dog in on the day of the attack on 5/13/25 within an hour of the attack. I have the report with the date of the attack and here it is. You have no idea how much I wished I brought her to the ER or a different Vet you were the closest and her Vet at the time. So I thought I would be in good hands, boy was I sadly mistaken. When I saw what a terrible job Dr.Card did on her stitches I was horrified with how far apart the stitches we're place and I asked you to put more stitches in, not to go crazy on her with a staple gun. The staples were put in haphazardly and My dog was screaming in pain yet you continued to staple her without sedation . It was only then did you come and ask me if you could give her sedation. As far as I am concerned this was an inhumane attempt that caused my dog as much stress and trauma as the attack. I had her records sent to me right after this happened and I knew right after this happened I would never bring her back to you again. I never delayed her care and her wound was not dirty it was open and bloody. And it did not heal perfectly she has 2 huge pockets the size of golfballs on her neck. Unfortunately, in 2 separate instances with 2 different pets, my pets weren't feeling well I brought them in to be evaluated. In both instances I was told that they were healthy with minor issues and prescribed medicine and treatments that were completely unrelated to what the true issues were. With both, after a few days of following the vets' recommendations, they continued to get worse and what was recommended did no good. I brought my first pet back and at that point was told he had cancer and was dead 2 weeks later. I took my 2nd pet to another vet and was told he had cancer and needed to be euthanized a couple of days later due to a large malignant mass under his rib cage. Losing these precious beings was difficult enough, and was made more painful by being misled about their conditions knowing that their pain could have been made more tolerable with the proper treatment. After those experiences I no longer trust the vets to properly diagnose & treat my pets and will be going elsewhere.

After I noticed his urinary issues, Dr. Young told me that his urinalysis showed no crystals. As his symptoms worsened, I then rushed him to Ocean State, where I learned he was actually suffering from crystals that had developed into bladder stones. I returned to West Shore to discuss surgery, but the surgeon initially suggested that we wait. I explained that I was under the impression he could become impacted at any moment, which could be life-threatening, and she confirmed that my understanding was correct. I told her that, in my eyes, waiting wasn't going to help. He was essentially a ticking time bomb. She appeared reluctant to move forward with surgery and seemed frustrated by my insistence, but eventually agreed to schedule it. Just hours after dropping him off for surgery, I received a call from that same surgeon, who had initially been reluctant to move forward with the procedure, telling me that an ultrasound showed his bladder stones had "dissolved" and surgery was no longer necessary. Despite this, my cat continued to decline. Thankfully, another surgeon took his condition seriously and performed surgery, discovering that the bladder stones were still there. They had simply become difficult to see on imaging because they had become translucent. This experience caused unnecessary suffering and, most importantly, put my cat's life at risk. After trusting this practice for years, I am deeply disappointed in the care and medical judgment he received, and I cannot recommend this clinic.

I wish I could repay her in some way for making the experience as special as it could be. During a huge Covid surge my entire family was able to say goodbye to our loving Jeter in the comfort of his own home. I can never thank you enough for your compassionate care.
