Let's get the real story straight.The facts that you reported are misrepresented and I am going to correct them. I didn't bring my dog in a day after the attack dirty. I brought my dog in on the day of the attack on 5/13/25 within an hour of the attack. I have the report with the date of the attack and here it is. You have no idea how much I wished I brought her to the ER or a different Vet you were the closest and her Vet at the time. So I thought I would be in good hands, boy was I sadly mistaken. When I saw what a terrible job Dr.Card did on her stitches I was horrified with how far apart the stitches we're place and I asked you to put more stitches in, not to go crazy on her with a staple gun. The staples were put in haphazardly and My dog was screaming in pain yet you continued to staple her without sedation . It was only then did you come and ask me if you could give her sedation. As far as I am concerned this was an inhumane attempt that caused my dog as much stress and trauma as the attack. I had her records sent to me right after this happened and I knew right after this happened I would never bring her back to you again. I never delayed her care and her wound was not dirty it was open and bloody. And it did not heal perfectly she has 2 huge pockets the size of golfballs on her neck. My girlfriend takes our dog to this clinic, doctors and staff are pretty nice and do a great job, but recently a girl saw our dog before a doctor came in, she was kind, but she definitely seemed like she didn't know what to do, how to handle our dog or even how to talk in english.. We like the clinic , but i'm not sure if this girl is within the standar we are used to see in here. read more

I would not return to this Dr. Hattan. I truly believe that this Doctor has put greed in place of caring truly for animals. Any time you call it's very hard to reach a live person. Instead, you get answering machines and then 3-4 days later still, no return call. Just possibly if she would pay folks a decent wage salary, she would employ folks with competence. Dr. Hattan is more focused on the money plain and simple. Instead, Dr. Hattan employs young woman who truly have no skills with animals, nor people. With that being said, I will never return to Foster Vet Clinic. Dr. Hattan is placing the animal's well-being and putting them in danger because she does not have the manpower to accommodate the number of pets that come through her practice. Dr. Hattan is open 7 days a week and the practice is still a ---- show. Unfortunately because of physicians like Dr. Hattan I will never own another pet and be at her mercy........... read more

Dr Hattan and her entire team are absolutely fantastic! We have been coming here with our dog Jillybean and our cats for over 10 years and everyone has always been amazing. It is a small practice and I love that about it because it allows a more personal experience. One of my cats is very loving at home but he is NOT nice at all when it comes to going to the vet but Dr Hattan has worked with us to find the best combination of medication to give him before the exams to help him get through it safely with minimal stress. There was a time when he was sick and he was diagnosed with feline diabetes. Dr Hattan was there every step of the way and was open & accepting of me doing my own research with credible sources about how to navigate our new normal. That was big for me because while I trust her 100% & I knew she was treating his condition appropriately I still like to do my own research especially when it comes to my fur babies. Dr Hattan did not make me feel badly for wanting to educate myself with trusted, up to date information on feline diabetes and she was there with every question and concern I had with what I found on my own. She wanted to educate me as well and help me understand. I have had many many other wonderful experiences here over the years and I will continue to bring my animals here for the best care! read more

Dr. Hattan and her staff have taken care of my family's pets since she purchased the practice from Dr. Gorham when I was a child. Ruth, Dr. Hattan, Gary, and others have been nothing but compassionate from the day we met them. Many of our pets have been laid to rest here and they have helped us with the process with a dignified and respectful approach. Their price point is higher than let's say, Banfield, but the service and care is second to none. I would much rather spend the extra money and extra drive (I currently live in Woonsocket) for my cat to see Dr. Hattan than drive five minutes to PetSmart. Bravo! read more

We were given a wrong diagnosis and were told not to keep our new dog. It caused a lot of pain for our family. Thankfully we went somewhere else for another opinion. Turns out our pup is 100% fine. I'm sure they meant well, but their mistake and the way that the information was told to us was unforgivable and insensitive. read more

I would not reccomend this vet. Took my dog for a free dental exam and told she needed an extraction for a fractured tooth. I was given an astronomical quote of over $800 for the extraction of the one tooth. (This was with a 10% discount!!!) I went for a second opinion reguarding price and found a much more reasonable vet. Not only was the price more reasonable but they took the time to explain exactly what was wrong with my dogs tooth, not just that it was broken. I will never return to Foster Vet. read more

I have been taking my dog here for the last 9 years and they are excellent. It's a very small and rural practice so don't expect a high tech office with a ton of techs and doctors. But everyone here is an animal lover and Dr. Hattan is very kind and patient. Their prices are in line with other practices in the area. They don't have extended office hours or emergency services, but they are excellent for routine shots and visits. I would highly recommend Foster Vet Clinic! read more

I have been going to the Foster Veterinary Clinic for a number of years and have found Stacey and her team the best fit for me. When I had to put down my 21 year old cat and was bawling my eyes out they offered to drive me home. The care they give my animals is exceptional, and the price is right. I mean, all Vet care is expensive now, but Foster Vet is less so (the modest environment reflects a certain fiscal perspective!). I tried West Greenwich Animal Hospital for a while since I adopted a dog who's records were there and after a short period of time I moved her to foster veterinary clinic. I mean, I couldn't get out of there without taking out a loan, and most of the time I felt like i was being lectured. I made my first appt. with this office about 2 months ago for my black lab dog. I was scheduled for 4pm. When we arrived promptly to our appt. time, there were two other people in the waiting room and a very sad couple that was going to have their dog put asleep. It was horrible waiting and watching this. At 5:15pm I kindly told the very strange and monotone unfriendliest receptionist I have ever met in my life that I had to pick up my daughter and I rescheduled with her not really acting apologetic??? I was shocked, but decided to give them another chance. This time, I took our new rescued kitties to see them. The Dr. was very nice, the receptionist still verrrry odd...but the bill was $464 for first visit, deworm, ear check, first distemper shot for all three. Then she wanted us to come back in 4 weeks. Happily glad that it was a good visit despite the $$$ and receptionist, I came back 3 weeks ago. Promptly arriving, again I waited ONE HOUR AND 15 MIN!!!! I could not believe it. The receptionist did not say sorry nor did she act like I even exsisted! It was so wrong on every level. At that point I said I could only have the 2nd round of shots for the three kitties and I would have to come back because of the time restraint. No apology from Dr. She acted all fake and nice and then left the building. Charged me $144 for just those three shots! I feel sick to my stomach at that appalling greed and the horrible rudeness of that woman at the front desk!!!! read more

I am very pleased with how polite, knowledgeable and professional the staff is at Foster Veterinary Clinic I love doing business with people who sincerely care about the health and well- being of my animals as much as I do and will go the extra mile as needed. Recently, my livestock guardian dog "Annie" became ill. Unfortunately, I was physically unable to bring her in to be seen by Dr. Hattan so one of her technicians came and picked her up! That's what I mean by they go the extra mile! Not only that but knowing I cannot groom Annie due to her size and strength by myself they removed several large mats that had formed. Dr. Hattan worked within my budget and was very compassionate and honest to deal with. The clinic even called the next day just to check on Annie (whom is doing MUCH better now!). I will definitely use this veterinarian again and highly recommend them to my friends and family! read more
