Caring, dedicated and fantastic is how I would describe Dr. Danielle Paradise and West Paws. When my dog was diagnosed with a rare, complicated health problem, Dr. Danielle was constantly updating me with test results, options and ideas. She researched constantly and cared for me as much as my dog. She is warm, reassuring, knowledgeable and compassionate. I cannot recommend Dr. Danielle and West Paws enough!! They are the BEST!!!!

I have 2 French bulldogs. The oldest is 2 yrs 5 months and we just added to the family a 9 week old frenchie. Are the vets and staff familiar with this breed? Thank you

They are wonderful with all breeds an very knowledgeable!! I highly recommend the expecally mark and his wife

I am searching for a vet who has knowledge of diabetes and is pro wet food and PZI Bov insulin?

Hi Laurie, PZI is a good insulin. I would find it difficult to believe there are vets who wouldn’t be pro wet food for diabetes due to higher protein and lesser carb amounts. Do you want to come into WestPaws to discuss further? Mark Paradise, VMD

After I noticed his urinary issues, Dr. Young told me that his urinalysis showed no crystals. As his symptoms worsened, I then rushed him to Ocean State, where I learned he was actually suffering from crystals that had developed into bladder stones. I returned to West Shore to discuss surgery, but the surgeon initially suggested that we wait. I explained that I was under the impression he could become impacted at any moment, which could be life-threatening, and she confirmed that my understanding was correct. I told her that, in my eyes, waiting wasn't going to help. He was essentially a ticking time bomb. She appeared reluctant to move forward with surgery and seemed frustrated by my insistence, but eventually agreed to schedule it. Just hours after dropping him off for surgery, I received a call from that same surgeon, who had initially been reluctant to move forward with the procedure, telling me that an ultrasound showed his bladder stones had "dissolved" and surgery was no longer necessary. Despite this, my cat continued to decline. Thankfully, another surgeon took his condition seriously and performed surgery, discovering that the bladder stones were still there. They had simply become difficult to see on imaging because they had become translucent. This experience caused unnecessary suffering and, most importantly, put my cat's life at risk. After trusting this practice for years, I am deeply disappointed in the care and medical judgment he received, and I cannot recommend this clinic.
