A true hometown gem in Yuma, Colorado…read more The Harvest Hotel is exactly the kind of place you want to stay if you believe in supporting local communities. It is owned and run by people who actually live here, and you can feel that pride the moment you walk in. The rooms are spotless, comfortable, and have that home‑style feel you just do not get from big franchises. What really sets this place apart is the people. They treat you like family from the moment you arrive, not like a passerby. The staff is warm, genuine, and truly invested in making your stay great. The prices are fair, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the continental breakfast is a perfect start to the day. If you want a clean, comfortable stay with real local hospitality--and to be welcomed as an insider rather than just another traveler--the Harvest Hotel is the place to be. Highly recommend.

But this place is an exception to my rule. I'm here in Akron for work and the motel was recommended to me. I'm not disappointed at all. The room is immaculately clean and in excellent repair. The bed is comfortable and pillows are fluffy. There's a flat screen TV, large apartment type refrigerator (also spotless), microwave and coffee maker. They have Direct TV with lots and lots of channels like I'm used to at home. There's plenty of drawers for my clothes I brought for the week and hangers also. The water pressure is amazing and after a long day it feels wonderful. There's a laundry area but I haven't used it. There's also a activity area with a pool table my boys used with a TV and lots of space for people to gather, cook and eat. No, it's not a 4-star hotel nor romantic by any stretch of the imagination but it is clean, comfortable and safe. I've stayed at over 50 hotels having traveled a lot nationally and internationally and the Mojo Inn is one I would come back to every time I visit Akron.

The online listing showed a restaurant and bar at this establishment. Both of these were closed also. Breakfast in the morning.....better think again. There wasn't even a cup of crappy coffee to be had. The room we had was well worn. The water valves on the shower and bathroom sink barely worked and only with great effort. The front window had a huge crack from top to bottom. About the only good thing I can say about the Sandhiller on June 28, 2025 is that we didn't take home any bedbugs.

I was lucky enough to play this course as a nonmember and it immediately became my favorite course ever. I am always worried about being disappointed when a course has been hyped a lot (See Cherry Hills, Arrowhead and most "top choice" courses in Colorado). Ballyneal surpassed all my expectations. Better than anything in Hawaii, California, Arizona, Washington, Oregon or Florida where I have played the "premier" tracks. Do yourself a favor, find an open play time, gather up your money and go play it. Fair warning: no carts and a long course. Best tip: get a turkey sandwich. It's $20 but worth every penny.

It's not totally fenced, but my dog is a non-runner so for us it was great. There's a fire pit and charcoal grill. The laundry/shower house is spotless. One washer, one dryer. The owners have owned it for about 2 years and work during the week at their other business. However, they are quick to respond to texts or emails. You can pay online, but my husband couldn't figure it out so we just paid them when they got back from their other business. They live on the property. It's easy to get in, sites are large and it's easy to get out. Birds and bunnies were everywhere. I am so glad we found this campground. We will be back!
