OMG! I'm in healthcare and I was shocked by the price of surgery. More than $18,000 out of pocket and I have insurance.

I internalized the treatment I received by the CA surgeon, who was aloof, rushed most of the time and curt all of the time, leading me to believe it was me and my persistent questioning style all along. His office staff was dismissive and inattentive during my recovery. When in pain, I contacted the office and was told someone would get back to me. After 5 hours, I had to call again, wait on hold and be treated like an impatient child. When I indicated I wanted to do a followup visit, a local friend recommended Dr. Boerner. From the beginning, the treatment and care provided was vastly different! His office staff is very pleasant and went above and beyond to accommodate my crazy work travel schedule. When I arrived, I was met and greeted by everyone, even when they were just walking through the office! Dr. Boerner was kind and listened very intently to my concerns. We chatted bout my lifestyle, interests and what I wanted the outcome to be. He was realistic, frank and compassionate at the same time. The comfort level I felt was unexpected and beyond positive--it was like we were in my living room, not some cold, sterile medical environment! After my procedure, his staff called the next morning to see how I was doing! In today's world, who does that? At the most, I expected an email and lack of personal attentiveness! The followup visits were great and the great treatment one gets can be depended on. I would recommend Dr. Boerner for any treatment, surgery and ophthalmology in a heartbeat.

Minimal topical anesthetic was applied to my gums or cheek before the novocaine injections by your assistant and none were applied by you -- a routine step that most oral health professionals consider standard care. [My most recent experience prior to this visit by another DDS was painless]. Skipping this procedure had real consequences: the injections were acutely painful, causing me to jerk back involuntarily, cry out, and suffer a throbbing pain in the back of my head for several minutes. I have never had a more excruciating administration of novocaine including the removal of impacted wisdom teeth years ago. What was not skipped: collecting full payment before the procedure began. That priority was made very clear. But seemingly pain management is not a priority as it took five phone calls to the office and ultimately to you directly after hours to receive the Rx for pain medication that had been promised. I would not return to this practice. I would not recommend it. And I will be contacting the referring dentist (who probably receives a kick-back) to share my experience, as I believe patients deserve to make informed decisions before being sent here.

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Patrick Cole and his entire team. From the office staff to…read morethe nurses to Dr. Cole himself, everyone has always been incredibly kind, welcoming, and professional. They truly go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and cared for. One of the things I appreciate most about Dr. Cole is how open and honest he is. He takes the time to listen, answer questions, and explain what you can realistically expect from your results. He is also always current on the latest techniques, treatments, and advancements in plastic surgery, which gives me even more confidence in his recommendations and care. I never feel rushed, and I always feel like I'm able to make an informed decision about what is best for me. It's obvious that Dr. Cole genuinely cares about his patients and takes pride in his work. I have always felt completely comfortable and confident in his care. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Cole and his team to anyone considering plastic or cosmetic surgery. They are truly wonderful people!

I was referred to this practice for a follow up on a broken wrist after an ER visit, and my…read moreexperience was deeply unsettling. From start to finish, the care and professionalism were entirely lacking. When Dr. Cole entered the exam room, he didn't even ask how I was doing or how my arm felt, cutting me off when I tried to mention new pain. When unwrapping my splint, he immediately blamed me, saying, "I don't like how that looks at all. What did you do?" implying I had somehow worsened the issue. Then, instead of talking to me in private, he pulled me out to the X-ray machine located right out in the open behind the receptionist's desk. Standing where staff and anyone in the lobby could hear, he repeated "I don't like that" multiple times when viewing my wrist and bluntly announced I needed invasive surgery, using harsh language ("slice you open, pop it in place, and put a metal piece in you") with zero empathy. Because of the news and lack of privacy, I became upset and started crying. When we went back to the exam room, he left the door wide open so the front desk could still hear me crying. To top it all off, when discussing the necessary procedure, he made the appalling comment that needing this surgery was "bad for me, good for him." Patients deserve to be treated with dignity, basic empathy, and respect for their privacy especially during vulnerable moments. I will not be returning and cannot recommend this practice.

Somehow my review keeps getting taken down. Just updating to make sure my review is still visible…read more BOTCHED AND DISFIGURED I went to Dr Rodgers for sinus surgery, rhinoplasty, and liposuction. There were immediate red flags I unfortunately ignored. The first was the condition of Dr Rodgers's teeth. His teeth are covered in plaque and tarter. They look like they haven't been cleaned in ten years. It's unusual for a surgeon, to say the least. The second red flag was when discussing the desired results; I mentioned that I wanted a nose that aesthetically fit my face. Dr. Roger responded that he didn't care about aesthetics. It's strange a plastic surgeon wouldn't care about aesthetics. The third red flag is Dr. Rodgers is missing an index finger on his dominant right hand. I clarified to Dr Rodgers that I wanted a straight Roman nose. What I got is something better suited to a Puerto Rican. Dr. Rogers removed too much cartilage off my bridge, leaving me with a rounded nose bridge lacking structure and a flat spot in the middle. My nostrils are now different sizes and attached unevenly to my face. I have a collapsed right valve. His incision on my columella left me with a missing cartilage on the left side. The tip of my nose, which he was supposed to refine, is wider than before. The septum he was supposed to straighten is deviated to the left. My nose is noticeably shorter. When I asked Dr. Rogers if he removed any cartilage from the tip of my nose, he said no. This was a lie. According to the medical records I requested, Dr Rodgers removed cartilage from the tip of my nose without discussing it with me. The liposuction he performed on my face has left me with a dent in my right cheek. When I brought up my concerns to Dr. Rogers, he laughed in my face (literally). He did this multiple times while trying to gaslight me to me think I was seeing things or hadn't waited long enough to see the results manifest. Ultimately, Dr. Rogers put me off for over a year before telling me he would not perform a revision surgery. This means I have to spend $15-$20,000 to have another surgeon correct Dr. Rogers's mistakes. This has been one of the worst experiences in my life. Fortunately, I could do a chargeback on one of the credit cards I used to pay for the surgery. I would highly recommend it to anyone considering plastic surgery. Put the initial charge on a credit card and charge the surgeon back when they see any potential bad results. Surgeons only win 23% of chargeback cases, so the chances are good that you will get your money back. I made the mistake of going with Dr. Rogers because he was affordable. I ignored red flags so I could save money. Now I'll be paying for it the rest of my life.

My previous surgeon in Utah had already died about 10 years prior and I was at a loss of what to do. Since this obviously was not my first rodeo, I had some knowledge and prior experience of what to expect. Dr. Mistry and her staff (Janet, especially) blew my expectations out of the water! They were SO thorough and explained every aspect of my procedure thoughtfully and gave me realistic expectations. She put my fears and anxieties to rest. I was given all options and they were so patient and kind throughout the journey of this. She also repaired my ripped earlobe during my year long decision making process, and it turned out beautifully as well. I am now 1 week post surgery, and I couldn't be happier with my results. The surgery itself (which is now my 3rd) was nothing short of perfection. From the hospital staff, to the anesthesiologist Jody, this was the BEST experience I have ever had in a medical/ hospital facility. It was night and day in comparison to previous experiences. The pain was not even a fraction of what I experienced before! I feel like a new improved version of myself again, and I will always be grateful to Dr. Mistry and her amazing team.
