I internalized the treatment I received by the CA surgeon, who was aloof, rushed most of the time and curt all of the time, leading me to believe it was me and my persistent questioning style all along. His office staff was dismissive and inattentive during my recovery. When in pain, I contacted the office and was told someone would get back to me. After 5 hours, I had to call again, wait on hold and be treated like an impatient child. When I indicated I wanted to do a followup visit, a local friend recommended Dr. Boerner. From the beginning, the treatment and care provided was vastly different! His office staff is very pleasant and went above and beyond to accommodate my crazy work travel schedule. When I arrived, I was met and greeted by everyone, even when they were just walking through the office! Dr. Boerner was kind and listened very intently to my concerns. We chatted bout my lifestyle, interests and what I wanted the outcome to be. He was realistic, frank and compassionate at the same time. The comfort level I felt was unexpected and beyond positive--it was like we were in my living room, not some cold, sterile medical environment! After my procedure, his staff called the next morning to see how I was doing! In today's world, who does that? At the most, I expected an email and lack of personal attentiveness! The followup visits were great and the great treatment one gets can be depended on. I would recommend Dr. Boerner for any treatment, surgery and ophthalmology in a heartbeat.

Somehow my review keeps getting taken down. Just updating to make sure my review is still visible…read more BOTCHED AND DISFIGURED I went to Dr Rodgers for sinus surgery, rhinoplasty, and liposuction. There were immediate red flags I unfortunately ignored. The first was the condition of Dr Rodgers's teeth. His teeth are covered in plaque and tarter. They look like they haven't been cleaned in ten years. It's unusual for a surgeon, to say the least. The second red flag was when discussing the desired results; I mentioned that I wanted a nose that aesthetically fit my face. Dr. Roger responded that he didn't care about aesthetics. It's strange a plastic surgeon wouldn't care about aesthetics. The third red flag is Dr. Rodgers is missing an index finger on his dominant right hand. I clarified to Dr Rodgers that I wanted a straight Roman nose. What I got is something better suited to a Puerto Rican. Dr. Rogers removed too much cartilage off my bridge, leaving me with a rounded nose bridge lacking structure and a flat spot in the middle. My nostrils are now different sizes and attached unevenly to my face. I have a collapsed right valve. His incision on my columella left me with a missing cartilage on the left side. The tip of my nose, which he was supposed to refine, is wider than before. The septum he was supposed to straighten is deviated to the left. My nose is noticeably shorter. When I asked Dr. Rogers if he removed any cartilage from the tip of my nose, he said no. This was a lie. According to the medical records I requested, Dr Rodgers removed cartilage from the tip of my nose without discussing it with me. The liposuction he performed on my face has left me with a dent in my right cheek. When I brought up my concerns to Dr. Rogers, he laughed in my face (literally). He did this multiple times while trying to gaslight me to me think I was seeing things or hadn't waited long enough to see the results manifest. Ultimately, Dr. Rogers put me off for over a year before telling me he would not perform a revision surgery. This means I have to spend $15-$20,000 to have another surgeon correct Dr. Rogers's mistakes. This has been one of the worst experiences in my life. Fortunately, I could do a chargeback on one of the credit cards I used to pay for the surgery. I would highly recommend it to anyone considering plastic surgery. Put the initial charge on a credit card and charge the surgeon back when they see any potential bad results. Surgeons only win 23% of chargeback cases, so the chances are good that you will get your money back. I made the mistake of going with Dr. Rogers because he was affordable. I ignored red flags so I could save money. Now I'll be paying for it the rest of my life.

My previous surgeon in Utah had already died about 10 years prior and I was at a loss of what to do. Since this obviously was not my first rodeo, I had some knowledge and prior experience of what to expect. Dr. Mistry and her staff (Janet, especially) blew my expectations out of the water! They were SO thorough and explained every aspect of my procedure thoughtfully and gave me realistic expectations. She put my fears and anxieties to rest. I was given all options and they were so patient and kind throughout the journey of this. She also repaired my ripped earlobe during my year long decision making process, and it turned out beautifully as well. I am now 1 week post surgery, and I couldn't be happier with my results. The surgery itself (which is now my 3rd) was nothing short of perfection. From the hospital staff, to the anesthesiologist Jody, this was the BEST experience I have ever had in a medical/ hospital facility. It was night and day in comparison to previous experiences. The pain was not even a fraction of what I experienced before! I feel like a new improved version of myself again, and I will always be grateful to Dr. Mistry and her amazing team. Thank you so very much! Pics coming soon!

Many, maybe most, of the oral surgeons in this practice hold dual MD and DDS or DMD degrees and…read moreafter maybe dozen or so visits across several years my husband and I are very happy patients. Every experience has been stellar for patient care and in particular for surgical skill and outcome of the process. Noting a number of 1 star reviews, I'll point out that they are largely from people who are unhappy about this practice not taking their insurance. But, I'm going to focus on the quality of care here which is excellent at every step. If you are a patient looking for top quality surgical skill and care for procedures like wisdom teeth extraction, fractured tooth extractions, implants and diagnosis of oral disease, this practice in any of their locations is my recommendation. We used this Boise location but the practice has expanded with offices in Meridian, Star and Caldwell making it more convenient for patients in the Treasure Valley to access this care. OUTSTANDING EXPERIENCE FOR PHYSICAN SKILL AND PATIENT CARE: We were referred in here by our dentist nine years ago when my husband needed implant work done to solve a very tricky problem. Having had one implant done maybe 20 years ago in another city where we lived, my husband, no sissy about discomfort, told our dentist "never again" for how painful it was. Our dentist said "Trust me. With Dr. Kempers at Whitewater this will be all good." And it was, with three different procedures and multiple visits across a couple of years time, the outcome was perfect. I had my own experience with Dr. Kempers (MD, DDS) a few years later when I developed a serious problem inside my mouth and tongue that was making it impossible for me to eat and even difficult to swallow liquid and my family doctor across four visits was patting me on the proverbial head and recommending OTC management of same. I finally went into my dentist as a "Hail Mary" and he said I needed to see Dr. Kempers ASAP, he made a call and Whitewater took me that same afternoon. Through exam and biopsy, Dr. Kempers diagnosed a rarely occurring (lucky me - not - to be in the 2%) autoimmune disease and with treatment he prescribed, it went into remission. When I fractured a molar a few years later (right before Thanksgiving no less), I saw Dr. Kempers to have it removed and subsequently an implant done and all went smoothly with everything. My husband and I also appreciated that the doctor and staff always treated us with respect and were willing to take time to explain procedures and answer questions. The surgeons here are highly skilled, their medical assistants are too, the scheduling and billing are always on point. My husband and I are very happy. THE INSURANCE ISSUE: Getting back to insurance, we do have dental insurance but like most dental plans it doesn't cover much beside routine dental cleaning twice a year and there is a high deductible before it kicks in for paying partial fees on other things. Like several of the people who complain here in 1 star reviews, we are retired people. Unlike them, we do not expect an oral surgery group, or any medical practice, to extend payment plans because that means the medical practice is essentially getting in the business of loaning money and getting in the business of managing the payments that isn't a model that works for any practice. We knew that going in. Also, for procedures that are not purely dental but medical, like the biopsy needed for diagnosis and treatment of the auto-immune condition, those were billed to and covered by our medical insurance. PARKING: Private lot and you enter through the front door. After surgical procedures with anesthetic for which one needs a driver afterwards, the recovering patient can exit and be picked up at the side door. ACCESSIBILITY: One might expect that 35 years after ADA was passed that all medical offices would be fully wheelchair accessible but you'd be surprised at how many are not. This one is.
