For rating on infant tongue ties I give 1 star. Took my baby in when he was 6 weeks and told the doctor all the issues. He could clearly see a tongue tie but started off the evaluation saying he was more conservative on the subject and a lot of it is "placebo effect". Since my LO had good suction he recommended against it but said he would do it if I wanted. All of my babies issues were apparently from "something else". Needless to say, a chiropractor saw the tie and said it was the biggest he'd seen in awhile and after a second opinion from someone who is more knowledgeable, the procedure was done. My babies tie was 4mm from the tip of his tongue, and the average tie is 16mm. So yeah... pretty severe. As for toddlers, the staff is amazing and the doctor is great with making them comfortable and the process fun. read more

I took my 3 year old autistic son here for his very first dental visit and I am so satisfied with the care that he received. I appreciated how the dental assistant that was working with him was patient and made sure that he was comfortable throughout the whole experience. The ambiance of the office was really nice too and kept my son entertained and engaged. I'm really happy I found this place! read more

When it's the middle of summer and your son ASKS when he can go to the dentist again, you know you have a great dentist!!! And we really do! When Jet went into Children's Dentistry of Idaho, in Nampa, he was perfectly healthy and his mother spent a significant amount of time ensuring that they had all of his medical records and history. He had successfully gone under general anesthesia just two weeks prior to his dental appointment and the dental office was provided all of those records to ensure they could replicate the same experience. Jet died in the care of the dentist, Dr. Paige Schmidt and the anesthesiologist, Dr. Ryan Judd, the Friday before Memorial Day and Children's Dentistry of Idaho in Nampa opened their doors the following Tuesday morning and have continued to treat children ever since, yet they still have not discovered what went wrong when Jet died. If your child had an appointment at this facility, wouldn't you want to be aware of this incident? I can't imagine taking a child to a place that continues to treat children without knowing if what took Jet's life was human error, an equipment error, or anything else that might potentially kill another child with an upcoming appointment. "On May 22, 2020, a friend of mine took her 5 year old son to Children's Dentistry of Idaho in Nampa and sadly, he died under the care of the dentist, Dr. Paige Schmidt and anesthesiologist, Dr. Ryan Judd. They have not provided any answers or information about what caused his death. They claim there is an investigation, however, they are still providing care to children without the knowledge of the death possibly being caused by human error, equipment error, or anything else that could potentially affect another child they are treating. When this incident occurred, they would not allow the child's mother to be in the room when he was placed under general anesthesia. If I could leave zero stars I would. We had an emergency dental situation. We could not get through to the provider and when normal office hours resumed they still wanted us to wait for the next available appt to be seen, leaving our 10 year old daughter is pain even longer with root exposure. I would give six stars if I could!! Dr. Bryson is one of the kindest and gifted dentists I have ever encountered! He truly has a gift with children. I have two children that have seen him on multiple occasions from routine checkups to extractions and other complicated procedures. His ability to put children at ease and perform what is needed in a short amount of time is astounding. The entire staff and atmosphere of the office are also warm and inviting. I only wish they took adult clients. I would highly recommend for any children's dental needs in the treasure valley. read more

My kids LOVE this place! We've moved 4 times over the last 5 years so we've been to our fair share of kid's dentists and I am thoroughly impressed with the level of care here with Dr. Jeff and his staff. The time and effort that has gone into making kids feel comfortable and welcome (and wanting to come back) is amazing. Dr. Jeff went beyond my expectations with my 1 year old, playing games and being so caring and kind - he gained her trust very quickly and was able to complete the entire exam with very little fuss and she left very happy. My 9 year old was equally happy because there are movies and games, a play room, and "super cool prizes he could win". I especially like the way Dr. Jeff explained mouth bacteria - I think it really made an impression on my 9 year old and made him realize the importance of brushing. Dental care was explained in detail by each of the assistants and you aren't left wondering "what happens next". The office is very welcoming, as are the entire staff. Scheduling was a breeze and the new patient forms were easily found online which is a great convenience. I am very happy we chose to come here and look forward to our next visit! read more

While the facility was very nice, I was very dissatisfied with the care my baby and I received. I went in to have a consult done about my baby needing a lip and tongue tie revision, as soon as the Doc saw me he informed me that he took a very conservative approach "doesn't do them much". I had explained to him all the issue both my baby and I have with nursing, he stated "I think this just has a placebo affect on mothers, it doesn't actually do anything" he also said "I understand how hard breastfeeding is I saw my wife struggle but you'll be fine and get through it, it's not worth it for mothers to put their baby through that, if I see an issue down the line I'll revise it then" (specifically stating at 12 years of age). His comments and attitude came off misogynistic, and made me feel guilty for wanting to have this procedure done. After taking a look at my baby he told me he'd perform the frenectomy only if I that it was absolutely necessary, but he wouldn't advise it. With that being said, our encounter did not sit well with me so I got a second opinion from another lactation consultant, who advised I see another pediatric dentist. I scheduled an appointment and was seen by a female pediatric dentist, who said the procedure was absolutely necessary and we moved forward with the frenectomy. For the first time my baby was able to hold in a pacifier and nurse without crying. While each dentist is entitled to their own practice, I feel he should've let me know he does not perform the procedure (he stated he's only done a couple over the last few years) and left his personal opinion out of it. read more

I'm hesitant to leave this review because if the word gets out about this place, it's going to get hard to make an appointment! First off, the entire staff is friendly and smart, from the desk to the assistants in the patient rooms. The airplane fuselage in the kids waiting room and video games and toys always put the kids at ease when they come, they happy when the show up. We have had multiple experiences here with Dr. Paige Schmidt and she is fantastic. This morning our son had to have extensive dental work done including an extraction, filings and a crown. Due to his developmental condition, he had to be put under general anesthesia for the second time in his life for dental work because it would be traumatizing to him and he wouldn't understand what is going on. The entire experience was as amazing as it could be. Both Dr. Paige and Dr. Ryan Judd communicated very thoroughly but also reassuringly that everything would go fine and it was routine for them. And it was... and they worked fast. They had us in early before normal hours so our son had the attention of the whole staff. The way Dr. Judd handled my son coming into the operating room and getting the anesthesia started was nothing short of ingenious, involving a game of chase, laughing and smiles. Today he is recovering after his operation and he is talking about how he liked his doctors and "what was that breathing thing?" No trauma. No screaming. We are so thankful to have them and we could not recommend them enough. Thank you docs! read more

I have three young rambunctious boys, all with very different personalities, and they all LOVE the dentist! My oldest is especially shy and by the time we left our first visit, he was laughing and smiling! He ended up having to have some dental surgery and I thought for sure he would be mentally scarred. The surgery was done at another facility by the same dentist and when he saw his dentist he was immediately calm. He was even excited to go back for his follow up visit after the surgery! These people work magic here. The dentist and the staff go above and beyond with the goal for kids to stop having a negative view of dentists and doctors. They succeeded with my kids! If you're looking for a dentist for your kids, there's no one out there that can even compare! read more

Highly recommend Children's Dentistry and as the kids call him "Dr. Jeff" This place is fantastic, love the themes of the rooms, each room is an adventure where else would you see the bottom of a real boat up on the ceiling. Chances are you will encounter a real airplane, video game, books, kitchen play set. It's like you're one the bottom of the ocean with sea creatures all around you and bubbles floating up. Kids get to watch tv as they are receiving their treatment. My son looks forward to going to the dentist. When it's time for your next appointment they offer friendly text and email reminders. "Dr Jeff" communicates excellently with the kids explains what's being done in a friendly manner that they would understand. The assistants are pleasant and interact well with the kids. For an excellent pediatric dentist Dr. Jeffrey Bryson DDS is the best!!! read more

My children have been going to children's dentistry since they had their first tooth pop in. They are now 12 and 7. I dread the day they get to old to come here. Everyone is sweet, patient even when my son was scared when he first went to the dentist. They were so kind, positive and encouraging for him that now, he wants to be first and jumps up on the bench and opens his mouth wide. Our recent visit really reminded me why I love this office so much. I made the mistake as to what time the kids appointment was, and arrived over an hour late. Instead of having us reschedule they worked us in. We are so blessed to have such wonderful people working with our children!!! I can not express enough my thanks and gratitude to these wonderful people. I have no problem driving from wilder just to take my children to the team of children's dentistry. I have tried to make an appointment twice. Both times I got a voicemail which no one returns my call. My guess is they don't take appointments or they are just to busy to answer the phone. I am very disappointed with the this office and I have not even stepped in the door yet. read more

DO NOT use their service, they are crooks. This was the worst dental service I have ever received in 18 years for my children.

They have been great with my son. They know kids and how to make them comfortable while still getting the job done. Very happy with the service! read more
