I hired Nelson Drywall Patch-N-Match, D&D Refrigeration Inc and Mid City's Electric Inc under contract for my new air conditioning/heater installation. Valuables were stolen from my home. I reported the theft to the Carson Sheriff Department. I filed a complaint with BBB. Dan Nelson, the owner of Nelson Drywall, was very insensitive about my lost and his employee's unprofessional / unethical conduct. Dan's painter was very late arriving. Dan refused to provide me a painting receipt as requested. read more

They don't work out of Perris anymore and I don't think Dennis is associated with the company anymore either. That being said, I can't say enough positive things about Dan Nelson and the guys at Patch-n-Match. He was recommended by a member of my family, formerly in the drywall biz who knew good quality work when he saw it. The pricing was reasonable, they showed up on time, and finished well ahead of schedule! Plus... the crew, Mark, Zach & Justin was a great group of really fun guys. Yeah okay, maybe Dan helped out a little too. Top quality professionals who worked well together, knew their assigned tasks, and made it a lot of fun to be around them. And the finished product spoke for itself! They walled my garage and scraped the ceiling for me, and I couldn't possibly be more pleased with the result! read more

We are extremely happy with the way they painted the house. It turned out just right. They were extremely efficient, and neat. That is hard to do with painting! They showed up on time, and did everything that we asked. The owner, Dennis Nelson was so easy to work with as well. His bid was really good, and we got great work done. They were recommended to us from our next door neighbor, who has used them several times, and liked them. We saw how their house looked and were convinced. Plus we saw them work on their house, and knew that they were clean and neat. Our experience was so good with them that I wanted to write this review to offset some of these awful things that people are saying here! read more

We needed drywall repairs in our ceiling after a water leak and also needed some wall patches where we installed new electrical for can lighting. I called Patch N Match. The communication was prompt and clear, the work was done efficiently and superb. Zach showed up on time and was pleasant and hard working. I would definitely recommend Dan Nelson and his son Zachary and would use them again in the future if needed. read more

These guys did an amazing and professional job. Dan Nelson was in constant contact with us. We are extremely pleased. We are located in Costa Mesa. We were actually referred to him by his uncle. He came highly recommended and I will pass his name/business along to any who ask! Thanks Patch N Match! read more

This company was great to work with. They were professional and on time, kind, and most importantly, the work was well done. They were in and out and the dry wall looks amazing. read more

I don't know where all the good reviews come from for this company. We hired them to fix some drywall at our house. The job was all setup to be done, we got the day off and furniture moved and they never showed up. No call, no show. I don't know what they think in terms of my schedule or if they under bid on the project but they could have at least given us some advanced notice that they weren't going to do it. I'm out a day's wages and had to find another company to do the job. Actually , it worked in our favor because we got the job done for less than they quoted. If you're in need of work being done in your home, don't choose these guys. There's no communication and they feel that their time is more important than yours. They suck for price too! read more

Cut me off in traffic , then a few minutes later decided to blow his air horn next to my car. I wouldn't use this guys business if it was the last handy man alive. read more

It's too bad I couldn't select no stars! Well, I guess the second time is NOT a charm. I had Nelson Drywall come back to my house because he did such good job the first time. THAT WAS THE BIGGEST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE. He flaked on me five times and didn't call me, I had to call him... He sounded very drunk!! When I asked what happened, each time he told me the person who was assigned to come to my house was sick with the "BROWN BOTTLE FLU" but promised to get the same person who did the previous repair. Finally he showed up with a Hispanic male that did not speak English. He did a terrible job. I called back to complain and a second Hispanic male that did not speak English arrived. He tried to fix the repairs until I got pissed and told him to leave. Never Again!!!!!!! read more

We had him come out for a quote and hired him to do drywall patch in 3 closets ceilings and garage, he gave us a date and time, and allowed us to clean out 3 rooms and garage, and he never called, text or nothing! My husband finally called him after an hour and he said, got hung up at job, not at all concerned for his clients! Not even a text or call! Very unprofessional! read more

I couldn't be more pleased with their work. They were always prompt and worked very hard. The ceilings and paint job was excellent. My deck came out even better than we even expected. The texture was wonderful. Working with Dennis and his workers was a great experience. I was referred to Dennis by several friends here in Canyon Lake and they really lived up to what everyone said. I will highly recommend them to everyone. I also have gotten many compliments on their work. We couldn't be more happier. We are totally sold on this company and will continue to use them ! Patch and Match came out ( I believe it was Dennis Nelson) to look at some drywall repair areas and also estimate painting for several rooms, the new doors and the woodwork. He looked at everything and said he would call with an estimate broken down by the work to be done but he really was pushing for painting the whole interior. He called back 3 weeks later with a figure for repairing the kitchen ceiling drywall where a fluorescent light fixture had been taken out and canister lights installed. The drywall work needed repair prior to painting. His story had changed from re-mudding and re-texturing the kitchen ceiling. Now the entire living room, dining room, and kitchen ceiling needed to be mudded over and re-textured before painting. $1800 just for this job. Even though he had looked at the rest of the painting work which needed to be done and was supposed to be giving me an estimate on that as well he said he would look at that when they came out and give me a detailed estimate at that time. I do feel that the MO is to wait until the current jobs are ending and call people back to see who they can squeeze the most money out of before actually scheduling a job. I was disappointed as he had been recommended. Left a really bad taste. read more

THIS COMPANY SUCKS! beware of nelson. I sub-contracted a job to this guy and he did a miserable job. the homeowner was EXTREMELY displeased as well as my self. His work had to be torn out and redone. This is a contractor who will come and estimate your job and then drop off a unsupervised non english speaking illegal alien to complete the work. DO NOT HIRE THIS CON-tractor read more

Beware of this company. Owner is a complete flake. Had a job scheduled with Nelson to begin on a Monday, no show and no call. I had to call him to reschedule. Rescheduled for Wednesday, no show and no call. I wouldn't even let this guy in my house. Very happy he didn't show up. read more

Excellent patch 'n' match on drywall damage after air conditoner installation. Good communications, reasonable, & attentive to clean up at end of day. We'd definitely call them again if needed. read more

Our laundry room is like brand new again. Called on a Wednesday afternoon. They were stripping old wallpaper the next morning. Multiple holes in the walls from running wires to a TV on the opposite side of the wall were perfectly patched. Oak cabinets were refinished with perfectly-applied clear coat. Walls re-textured and painted. Friday afternoon they were done and we have a new laundry room, ready for new appliances. They totally bailed us out on short notice. We have had several projects completed by Dennis' crew, including a complete repaint of the exterior and interior of our home. The workers are clean, extremely polite and competent. Will always call upon Nelson Patch n Match for all of our paint and repair jobs. read more
