I absolutely see a pattern here! They have violated the No Surprises Act of 2020 for out of network billing. My entire family was seen at their office. I was never given an estimate of what my charges would be up front as I stated I was out of network. I should have been given a Good Faith estimate. I was not. When I left, I paid in full. Then they filed to my insurance and charged one of my children as an adult at age 13 when I clearly spoke to my insurance representative and they stated my child is not considered an adult until the age of 14! Then 6 months later they come after me for another $200+ after the fact and the fact that when I left my original visit I walked out with a receipt stating I had paid in full!!! When I spoke to the office manager who just apparently became the office manager and has no knowledge of my situation as she was not at the practice at the time of my original visit. The only thing she did was give me excuses as to why they dropped the ball and billed wrongly!! Yes she admitted they did wrong!!!! She never once offered to fix anything or compromise in any way at all whatsoever!!!! In fact she stated they were turning me over to collections!!! For a debt I do not owe and violates law!!! Go right ahead!!! Some managerial skills!!! This is a lawsuit in the works!! You can not violate laws enacted by our government and continue shady billing practices!!!! Know your insurance and your rights if you expect to be seen here which I absolutely would not recommend at all whatsoever!!!!!

Minor discomfort (less than expected) and bite is so well aligned I hardly notice that anything was done to 3 teeth, that's excellent. Some personal preferences for the less than perfect rating: especially as a new patient, I would have liked a little bit of personal interaction with the doctor to establish trust or discuss concerns. Clinical may be his style (and staff makes up for this) but lack of interaction felt a bit cold and conveyor belt-y in such a high volume office. Hygienist was very sweet but lacked some self awareness - resting hands with instruments on my face / jaw (which pulled / strained muscles), pushed suction tube against roof of mouth, tapping / shaking her leg while it was brushing against me in the chair, excessively pulling at a band when had difficulty removing (no problem but should have asked for assistance earlier), after procedure complete pushed on tooth (to remove bite paper colorant) despite me putting hand up with fatigued / cramping muscles. I'd given two indications during visit of pre-existing condition / muscle sensitivity and would have been more comfortable if this was better cared for. Dental work is rarely pleasant in any circumstances though. Overall I feel very good work completed.

They had a great introductory offer for new patients, $59 for full exam, xrays, teeth cleaning, etc. I was ecstatic. The visit started off fine, the office is very clean and the staff is friendly. I had my teeth cleaned after my x-rays and the assistant went to get the dentist. He did a full exam on my mouth and informed me I had over 15 cavities in my mouth. I was in complete shock - I had gone a year without dental work, but I am an avid teeth brusher twice daily. I had only had two cavities in 25 years, and very minor ones at that. I couldn't believe that so much changed over one year. I was obviously very upset and the dentist told me not to worry, just have my insurance submitted and we could work out the rest. It turns out that all of the dental work was supposed to cost me $2,400, with insurance only covering $1,000. He told me it was imperative I have these cavities filled as soon as possible and I have this done over a four-appointment process. I was extremely upset but made the appointments anyway. I was discussing my predicament with a coworker, who told me this sounded a little fishy, maybe I should get a second opinion. I went to a different local dentist for a full exam: turns out I have ZERO cavities in my mouth. He did a full exam, x-rays, the whole nine yards. I told him he must be mistaken because this other man told me my mouth is full of cavities. This new dentist, who has been in business on the island for over 20 years, said he has 100% confidence in his diagnosis that my teeth have no cavities. I don't know what kind of scam they are trying to pull over at this office, but when I tried to call the office and discuss this with the dentist who saw me, I never heard back. I am not surprised that he would try to tack on extra dental work after only charging $59 for full cleaning, xrays, etc. (those costs can sometimes add up to $200). Maybe he is making up for the discount in other ways, like charging non suspecting customers like myself with thousands of dollars of unnecessary dental work. I wouldn't know, because I don't hear back from him! Buyer beware.
