I've been going to Dynamic Denistry for 5 years. After experiencing pain in one of my teeth for weeks, I called the office. It was Wednesday afternoon. I secured a 7:30 a.m appt for Friday. Dr. Reynolds, as always, nabbed which tooth was the culprit. Lucky me...I needed a root canal (LOL). More luck.... he had a 10:30 opening. Without any time to mentally "prepare" myself, I exhaled and did what I've always done for 5 years.....put myself into Dr. Reynolds' hands. And he did what he's always done....use his expert talent and skill to relieve my pain. I'm not an easy patient, due to trauma from a dentist as a child. I'm.....anxious, jittery and have a tendency to sometimes forget to breathe. Heck, I don't even sit in the chair with my legs stretched out. I'm curled up, knees to my chest. With all that to deal with, Dr. Reynolds remains patient with me. He's filled with such compassion. Every procedure he's ever done on me, he informs me BEFOREHAND what's coming next. One of my teeth decided to bother me prior to my semiannual visit, so I left a message to see if Dr. Reynolds could fit me into his schedule. I received a callback shortly upon sending my request and while he had several procedures the following day, agreed to see me in between them. As always, when I arrived I was greeted by name and with many a smile. Shortly upon arrival, Priscilla, one of the practice's Dental Assistants, reintroduced herself and walked me to one of the treatment rooms. Priscilla asked questions about the tooth bothering me, reviewed my 'Dental Plan' (something Dr. Reynolds pulls together upon one's first visit), took some X-rays, and overall ensured I felt comfortable and relaxed. It wasn't very long before Dr. Reynolds came in to greet me and review the notes and X-rays Priscilla had taken. He looked into my mouth, poked a bit here and there, asked additional questions, explained what he believed to be the problem and outlined a solution. I supported his solution and before I knew it, all was remedied. Bottom line, no matter when I arrive at Dynamic Dentistry, I feel listened to and supported; I am treated with respect, perceive any treatment plan and associated cost is thoroughly explained, and while in the past, loathed any visit to a Dentist, will honestly say I haven't any apprehension or fear in seeing Dr. Reynolds. Everything went well and hygienist was friendly . The only problem I had was at the end. She asked if I normally get flouride? I couldn't remember and said yes. when I went to leave I was ask by the receptionist did hygienist tell me there was a $23 charge? (Great) Didn't want to argue hygienist was new and didn't want to get her in trouble. Paid it with no problems . Only request I have is to be more transparent with cost. The dentist raised his voice at me because I was concerned about getting in for an emergency and I was very worried about my tooth getting infected since I had 8 surgeries in 3 years with alot if titanium put in my body. He told me that he had a busy schedule and I only gave him 10 days to fit me in (I was leaving for Ohio on Thanksgiving and not returning until Jan) I guess I should've cracked my tooth two months in advance. I've been going there 11 years. After my insurance switched to Humana I was also treated differently. Very dissatisfied with how they treated me and my husband. I called Southern Oaks and they were able to get me in the next day as a new patient to extract my tooth. Today was the icing on the cake I should have left two years ago when the secretary told me they didn't want to work with my insurance, and basically said we didn't have coverage. Great place to get your teeth cleaned and worked on . Staff is great , they really get to the root of the problem nudge nudge and you really get to know the staff. Like what's his name he really knows how to use the suction thing and that one lady with the hair she's cool with the jokes also prices are right if you have insurance, I guess that's how that goes . Dr Reynolds is very receptive to individual concerns and is really good at explaining what he is doing and why he is doing it. He also has great technology that allows him to fashion an exact fitting crown while you are there and have it installed about 20 minutes later so there is no dealing with a temporary one. He is thorough with his recommendations, but since I have financial limitations, I choose the most important work to be done. This is a very professional dental office. The man hygienist made me feel uncomfortable in conversation and was heavy on sales to get me to buy toothpaste and other products. Then I was taken back to this small office to discuss bills and more sales to add on to my bill. Not to mention how rude the receptionist was when I had to adjust schedules and asked about my bill. 2 stars instead of 1 because the dentist and owner himself was nice and good at what he does. Scheduled an appointment three months out. Today... THE DAY BEFORE the appointment I have had scheduled for months they call me at 4:45 pm to cancel my appointment that is at 8 am.. I had to take off of work for this appointment... and they call me less than 24 hours before and cancel it. I asked her when the soonest she could reschedule me and she told me that the next available appointment was the end of August (more than two months of waiting)! When I called the receptionist was extremely rude. I told her I had a small window of available times because of child care coverage. She laughed at me and told me nothing would be available for months. So I attempted to book something 3 months in advance and she was sarcastic and rude and giggling with another receptionist the entire phone call. Needless to say I won't be showing up to my app! I went to Dynamic Dentistry as a new patient because I lost a crown. It was determine I needed a root canal and I was one week away from back surgery. They were booked up but Linda performed some magic and got me in 2 days later. Everyone was very pleasant and Bianca, the Dental Assistant was super sweet and efficient. I've never been so angry with a dentist office in my life! I read though other reviews and saw that they are scammers and I wish I would have read up beforehand because that's exactly what they did to me! After giving them my husbands social security information and verifying my insurance, all I got was a cleaning from them in APRIL and in NOVEMBER I get a bill for the teeth cleaning. I called the office to speak with someone where they proceed to tell me their dental office does not accept my insurance to cover my teeth cleaning. How outrageous is that!? Why on Earth would I pay to have dental insurance and go somewhere where I would willingly pay out of pocket. I am outraged by their "policy to verify" that they assured me with and absolutely did not do with me and scammed me to get paid out of pocket. I imagine it would be their lack of patients due to all the other horrible reviews......Not to mention, their paperwork to fill out was a NOVEL and even coming in 15 minutes early for my appointment to fill it out I still had to wait about 40 minutes past my appointment time to be seen by the dentist for my actual appointment. These guys are new in Bluffton, and I LOVE them as far as dentists go (because who really loves going to the dentist?!). The lady up front was so helpful and took the time to get my insurance organized and explained everything. The office was quaint and very comfortable. Before just being sent to a scary room with metal tools, the dentist first had a meeting with me to discuss my issues, my wants and needs, etc. THEN THE DREADED CHAIR. Um, actually, it was some sort of tempurpedic, massage lounge bed that I kind of wanted to fall asleep in. The techs were awesome. After the whole thing, they gave me a personalized chart and made sure I had everything I needed. The next day, they followed up to make sure I enjoyed my experience and asked if I had any questions. This is one of those businesses that really cares about their clients and you can tell. Still need to go back for my first filling (dreading it) but I'm sure it'll be a pleasant experience based on the experience I had last time. Need a dentist? I have never had an experience like this before with any dentist. I was scammed by them! Before appointment I asked what my insurance would not cover, was quoted an amount, that amount more than doubled after work was done (which I paid for), then a month or so later I received a bill for several hundred more. When I called office admin, same person who had provided financial info for me, you could tell she had screened many of these calls as she gave rote answers, was cold and impersonal. Reynolds only spent a few minutes with me, dictating numbers/terms to hygienist that were meaningless to me, and left without telling me anything - I had to ask dental hygienist what he thought needed to be done. All my old metal filings were to be removed & replaced, although they did not give me any trouble. Also charged me for something other than the teeth cleaning I requested - told later, when insurance turned that down too, it was a 'once in a lifetime' cleaning, but my teeth did not feel smooth & clean as they always had before after a cleaning.
