A friendly welcome soon made us relax and having been shown to out table we were given the menu which is not your normal 'pub grub'. Reasonably priced wine list and superb puds we will return

Our table was booked for 2.15 pm and the place was heaving, absolutely packed. We had a fantastic meal, my daughter and I had the open lasagne which was squash and goats cheese with a pesto sauce I could eat that every day of the week it was heavenly, my daughter thought the same. My husband opted for the roast rib of beef and said it was really tasty, lovely bit of beef. We had chocolate fondants and bread and butter pudding for desserts which were also well above par. All in all (husband also said it was the best pint he had drunk for a very long time) we had a really enjoyable mothers day meal and we felt good value for money with quality ingredients, not frozen ready meals bought in like some pubs dish up. 6 August 2011 Had a really nice meal which we both enjoyed, nice touch having the home made bread and home churned butter. Lovely homely country pub atmosphere (and just love the hops hanging from the beams!), all the staff friendly and helpful. My husband happy with selection of beers The pud was really delicious. Will definitely be back, want to have all three courses next time!

I was told to stay away from the food as the quality was rather low. So I can't comment on that but I did hear it from a few different locals. Or maybe they were hiding a gem...who knows? :) Would go back for drinks no problem. Would probably try the food if I had enough drinks.

Lest I become a snob and look further down my nose at this soon to be hooded fellow, I shall move on to writing about the actual place It's a Wetherspoons pub and so I suspect you'll get the idea of what it has to offer very quickly. The building was formerly the main Post Office building in Tonbridge, then a Quasar laser game, then the heaving alchoholic monstricity that is the pub it still is today. Cheap and soulless are the buzzwords of the Wetherspoons franchise and well they do them. Many a night I've lost under endless rounds of black sambuca chased by gallons of unwholesome rums and whiskeys. Never a stable foot leaves this place and nor should it for who would want to remember what lies outside..Tonbridge.

As i am someone who drinks real ale it has to be said that there are not that many places in Hadlow…read morethat do a good job for a good price. Though there are other pubs they are more expensive (with one never having any real ale at all!) The Two Brewers is located in the heart of Hadlow itself. a short walk up form the shops and you can't miss the place! Those that know their real ale pubs and companies will automatically know one thing from the outside- that this is a Harvey's pub. Upon walking through the doors you turn right into what you would think to be a small bar. Quite the opposite in fact! The owners, Chris and Sue Snape will immediately give you a warm welcome (as will Molly, the pub dog!) The pub itself reminds me of the traditional pubs- the way a pub should be. Let's be honest now, most pubs these days have gotten a little carried away with the deco! The Two Brewers however has achieved something that, pub wise at least, is hard to achieve: remain traditonal but still have that clean fresh look to it. The local's are friendly and very easy to talk to and the pub has nice easy atmosphere to go with it. What is suprising is the amount of beers avaliable- a minimum of two beers on pump at any point (all Harveys, naturally!) with many more bottled beers behind the bar. Make no mistake about it, half the village now come here and its no suprise why! the beers average at around a reasonable £2.90 for the average beer. Remember though that prices will vary according to strength (ABV) but that's how most pubs operate. Foodwise The Two Brewers do a good menu at a reasonable price. The menu changes from time to time, of course and the food is cooked well. The best thing to do is ask at the bar of course! All in all The Two Brewers is a well run pub, with Chris and Sue running a tight ship. I can see this being the busiest pub in Hadlow for a long while to come!

And I haven't even mentioned Molly the pub's resident poodle who is just adorable. A perfect place to come and unwind.

The Black Pig is a superb pub with a mouth-watering menu. The roast beef with Yorkshire pud is very near perfection, with major respect to the chef for his gravy (I'm a total gravy buff, I always attack my roasts armed with an extra jug of gravy). I also tried the roast pork; cooked absolutely perfectly with a nice big chunk of beautifully roasted and spiced crackling. My sister's lucky to have gotten away with any at all... They've got a parking lot around the back, which is convenient considering that parking in T Wells is one of those circle-round-for-hours-hating-life type of experiences... BBQs every Sunday evening in the beer garden, definitely giving that a go. I peeked a look at the BBQ menu, first thing on offer: "Bunny Burger"! They've got my attention and my business! Now how do I explain that to my daughter....
