I have been going to the desert ridge location since it opened. I love Nekter. The only issue is they say that they open at 7am. Today is the third time in the last month or so that I tried to go there at around 730am but the door was locked even with the open sign on. Came here for a smoothie for my daughter and it took at least 20 minutes to get it. Once I got it they didn't even fill it up to the top. You spend over six dollars for a smoothie and you expect to get six dollars worth. I believe I saw the owner or at least manager in the store but he was too busy talking to someone rather than looking at all the customers just sitting there waiting for their items they purchased. This store is dirty and the bathroom was disgusting. If you are providing a service make sure your store is adequately staffed. I highly recommend going to other Nekter stores and avoiding this location. The "business owner" should be ashamed of themselves for not holding up to the Nekter brand. I was craving something fruity, so I stopped by Nekter after my morning yoga class. I tried one of their açaí bowls. It was much larger than I expected and loaded with fruit and granola. It looked so good that I couldn't wait until I got home to eat it - I just ate it in my car. I love Nektar! I've been coming more than usual lately. Pretty much every time I come only two people are working which seems to cause issues. I love the açaí berry bowl! It's so good and I highly recommend it. My son absolutely loves just a strawberry banana smoothie with agave as the sweetener! They're wearing masks and gloves now which makes me feel a lot safer. I'm a covid nurse and I keep my eye on that everywhere I go! And they require all customers to have masks on! If you haven't tried Nektar you're missing out! Update: I wrote my original review while I was waiting. I ordered an açaí banana berry bowl with gluten free granola. Not only did 10+ people who came in after me get their order first but they completely forgot mine. Once it was made it was made completely wrong. In total I was there for over 30 minutes for a simple take out order. The girl behind the counter was very sweet and apologetic but I thought it was a bit odd that not only did they not offer to refund me, they took the original berry bowl that was incorrectly made and put it behind the counter instead of offering to just let me keep that one as well. First off I want to start with this review is coming from a barista, I totally understand how hard it is to work in customer service and what it's like to need tips, but the two girls I came in contact with today were just plain so rude to me, they were two blonde girls with eyelash extensions probably around 17-20, I go to Nékter probably two or three times a week but not often this location, I walk in and they go to the back immediately just to talk with each other.. I understand if they are short staffed but there was only one other person in the store ordering, a couple minutes later when I tried to get her to notice me she was very short and rude with me, I left a $1.00 tip because I still wanted to leave something but don't have a lot and I got scoffed at, When I finished my order the two girls started laughing making my bowl and when they handed out my bowl it was basically half full and my bowls never look like this, she didn't say anything to me when she slided the bowl to me and I said "have a good one" and got ignored and just watched them snicker and laugh to the back, I have Never left a review before but these girls just honestly gave me very mean girls vibes and my bowl was half full with spoiled looking fruit and it was all around just a bad experience. Successfully placed an online order at 6:25pm this evening, they said my order would be ready at 6:40pm, they close at 7. Arrived at 6:43 to lights off, stools on tables but door was open. I ran in to get my order and the girl said they didn't have it, online orders stop at 6:30. NO APOLOGY , no "let me make it for you now" Just a refund receipt. Bizarre. I like the concept of eating super healthy, but I have to say, the value for the money is just not there. I ordered one of their seasonal bowls and paid over $11.00 (with tax). It definitely was not worth it. I mean, it was 'ok' but for 11 bucks I should be WOWED and I just wasn't. All I can say is I hope they pay their staff well because I can tell you the ingredients in the bowl don't cost $10.50. I don't blame a business for wanting to make a profit but c'mon, the bowl probably costs MAYBE $2 bucks to make... Probably won't get a bowl ever again. MIGHT come back to try a smoothie.
