This review is specific to the celery cleanse and the new waffle item in the menu. Despite the 3 ingredient celery cleanse, I will not ever order it again. I purchased the celery cleanse for convenience. I had planned on creating a smoothie recipe that called for celery juice. This celery juice tasted really suspect. I wonder if it was the plastic container that gave it a "suspect" taste. I doubt I will ever be ordering it again, unless it's available in a glass container. Same goes for the waffle item on the menu. If you are wanting a sweet snack by all means order it but I must say that there is nothing healthful or special about the waffle in their menu. Normally I wouldn't complain and I would just contact the source but apparently no one at this store wants to answer the phone no matter how many times we call. Someone needs to rectify this situation because the delivery guy was literally no help whatsoever and also apparently doesn't know how to drive straight down crown valley to get to our house. Nektar shouldn't offer delivery through their app if they want to make it so hard to get a hold of someone to fix the problem Update- corporate refunded my order however this location is not run well. I love every single thing I've had at Nekter and never stick to the same order. It's very easy to order in the app and pick up whatever I'm craving when it's ready. I can even schedule my order to pick up later at a specific time. The prices are comparable to any other quality smoothie or bowl in the area but I choose Nekter because of the convenience of the multiple locations and the rewards. The only reason I took off a star is because of the strong Fabuloso cleaner smell. It's very off-putting for me to smell strong chemicals around food. Unfortunately, the experience I witnessed was very upsetting. While I was standing in line, a woman came in to place a large order for her business. She politely asked an employee for help. The employee responded coldly, saying they were busy and told her to order through the screen. The woman calmly explained that she needed more than 15 bowls, but the online ordering system only allows up to five bowls at a time. Instead of offering a solution or even acknowledging her concern, the employee said nothing, turned away, and started walking off. The woman said "excuse me" several times to get their attention. I also said "excuse me" to help, but the employee ignored us. The blender was running loudly, so the woman slightly raised her voice just to be heard over the noise. The employee then yelled at her, accusing her of raising her voice, even though she was clearly trying to speak over the blender. The woman looked heartbroken and ended up walking out. I was honestly in shock after witnessing this and decided to leave as well. I went instead to Rancho Mission Viejo Nekter and a woman told me she planned to go to the Rancho Santa Margarita location. I truly hope she was treated with the kindness and help she deserved there. Even another customer at the Ladera was shaking his head in disbelief over what had happened. The employee involved appeared to be a teenager(blonde) 12/18 11am staff. Nekter is usually an amazing place to go, but today was off. First of all, my acai bowl was only HALF of the way filled up instead of fully filled, which is unacceptable. Secondly, I paid 3$ extra to get extra blueberries, bananas, and strawberries, and I got less fruit than I would get in a normal bowl. Barley got any bananas, blueberries, and strawberries, and I paid extra to get more. The day before I ordered the exact same thing and the bowl was fully filled, and I got plenty of fruit. I think it was just a lazy employee who did not want to work. Please train your employees (mainly new) to actually work. read more

I came in a week later to see if they had turned the music down, they finally turned it down so it's possible to actually talk to the person who's helping you. From now on, I will only pay with cash because when you pay with a credit card it forces you into giving them a tip. The choices are either no tip or larger tip than I think is necessary. I don't mind giving a dollar tip but there's no choice for that. And once more, you have to tip before you get service so you don't know whether or not it's good service or not. This place is one of the better among the smoothie places I've gone to. Great customer service but sometime gets the order wrong. One time I ordered the peanut and jelly smoothie and asked for extra jelly. What I got was less jelly than you would usually get if you didn't order extra. Most of the time they are really good with a good texture but be warned sometimes they are a bit watery. For real, this smoothie calms me and anger issues down. BIG TIME! This has always been a location I go to weekly, but the past couple of months the service has been exceptionally slow. Everytime there's no more than 2 people working, sometimes even just 1 person. I actually feel bad for the workers having to take on 10+ orders during rush with little to no help. I always order online to avoid delays, however I STILL find myself waiting 25-30 minutes on every order-no exaggeration. The same goes for delivery services every time I'm in there waiting. As a long term Ladera resident, I've been coming to this location since it opened. Unfortunately, I can't say I'll likely be back to this location especially when there's two others within close proximity. Came in with my toddler Thursday afternoon. Walked in and there was not a single employee in sight. I honestly thought they might have closed early because I heard and saw no one. So odd. I said "Hello?" and then heard someone in the back but another minute went by and still no one came up. Then another minute went by and nothing. At this point I was getting annoyed and about ready to leave when finally someone came out from doing whatever back of house work was happening. Her demeanor was fine but not overly friendly or apologetic for the poor experience. I ordered my smoothie and asked to purchase a gift card. She made some comment about needing to input the numbers manually which I didn't understand but exclaimed that was fine, however the gift card needed to be input into the system. A minute later she told me that the gift card showed a $0 balance. Huh? I re-explained I was making a gift card purchase so yes, there was currently a $0 balance and the funds needed to be added. She was clearly flustered at this point and said she didn't know how to load gift cards so she'd be back with a manager. Out comes the manager who didn't make eye contact or say a single thing to me. Pretty odd client experience! The smoothie came out quickly but unfortunately it tasted watery and wasn't fully blended. For the above reasons I won't be back, sorry Nekter. read more

Let me start out by saying that I'm a big fan of juicing and making smoothies. In fact, I make myself one every morning! I purchase organic ingredients and blend it all up in my Nutribullet. Nekter is a nice juice bar located in a very nice shopping area in Ladera Ranch. Now here is the breakdown: Customer service 5 stars: The customer service is excellent! They are super friendly and fast to get your drinks, even when there's a long line. The guy that was helping me even went above and beyond, offering me a small cup of juice to cover the overflow of ice from a large drink I ordered. Juices 2 stars: I ordered a large toxin flush (parsley, spinach, apples, lemon and ginger). The 32 oz was $8.75. This was a really good combination and I make a similar one at home usually. The ginger did over-power the drink, but I didn't mind it too much. The description for the drink is "This drink will help your body to naturally rid itself of toxins in the blood and liver and soothe your tummy too." Now here my BIG problem with that statement--they do NOT offer an organic product, therefore their juices DO contain pesticides, as spinach and apples, for example are on the dirty dozen list. Technically, I'm not sure about the accuracy of their statement. If their products contain pesticides, doesn't that mean it will add toxins to the body as well...? This is my favorite location and it just so happens to be in my neighborhood (finally!!) A few reasons to love: (1) The STAFF. Every time I've come in they have a smile on their face and are eager to be of service (night and day compared to staff at RSM location). I don't know the guy's name but he's usually there in the mornings and seems to maybe be the manager on duty but he is awesome! Great attitude. It's not for everyone - research before you buy. But take advantage of when they are doing their cleanse sales to save some $$. WAYS TO SAVE $$: If you buy their eco-friendly cup you get a free 16 oz drink and then get 50 cents of every drink purchase every time you come in using your cup. Terrible customer service. My wife placed a mobile order today at 12:00pm for a 12:15pm pick up. Order was not ready when we got there and was told they never got an order under her name. Then they said they just got a few orders in so it should be ready. My wife waited patiently for 10mins and her order never came. I was in the car with our newborn for 30mins while my wife had to ask them 3x about her order. They suggested she sent it to the wrong store and demanded to see her phone to verify. Once they saw it they made it. If there would have been a apology, or they offered it up for free since it was 30mins later than expected I wouldn't be writing this review. Why did it take 30mins for them to find a solution?? Has this never happened before? No one in that store took responsibly to take care of her.
