Before the appointment, they conducted a full walk-through of my 5-bedroom, 3-bath, 2-story home and quoted $500 for a deep clean. I took great effort to prepare -- spending days tidying and clearing spaces so they could focus solely on the Deep cleaning . I cleared surfaces, thoroughly cleaned the kids' rooms, moved out bulky toys, took out all trash, stripped beds, washed dishes, and removed bathroom mats to make sure nothing would be in their way. When they arrived, I was told it would take about two hours, which immediately raised concerns given the size of the home. Four staff members came, but two left midway through to another job. They ended up being there for about four hours, but even with that, the work still lacked the thoroughness and quality expected of a deep cleaning. After the service, I was asked to do a walk-through to point out missed areas, but it felt uncomfortable, as I was being asked to "pick and choose" what they should fix on the spot, rather than receiving a complete service as promised. When I reached out afterward to address the missed areas, Rosa, the owner, returned the next day. Upon arrival, she asked where I wanted to dedicate their remaining 20 minutes of "touch-up" time -- which felt unreasonable given the scope of what was missed. Instead of acknowledging the oversight, Rosa became defensive and told me my home was "too dirty" for the original quote. She suggested I pay an additional $400 if I wanted them to stay longer. Later in the conversation, she said the job should have been quoted at $1,200...despite having personally walked through the house and quoted $500. Worse, Rosa made inappropriate and unprofessional remarks about my ability to afford her services, implying that I wasn't the kind of client she usually works with. I calmly reminded her that had she quoted $800 (or any amount), I would have paid it and that the intention of the deep clean is to continue with regular cleanings ... it was she who set the expectations and pricing based on her own walk-through and standards. Throughout the process, I remained respectful and communicative, even though her remarks and defensiveness made me extremely uncomfortable. I even asked AGAIN at the end of that return visit why she mentioned those things to me, she avoided to answer. For context, while we do have three children and dogs, we maintain our home regularly. We hired professional help for a deeper, detail-oriented cleaning. Days later I continue to find areas that were untouched, such as dusty ceiling fans and unmopped floors under furniture -- things that should absolutely be addressed during a deep clean.
