    The head staff is the worst and does not care about their employees at all. They run them to the…read moreground. They praise the staff that does not do their job and then suffocates/targets the ones that do everything under the sun for the residents there. Out of all the places to work this was the worst. This place will leave you going home with awful thoughts in your head that shouldn't be there. And yet they wonder why they can't keep anyone around lol. But I would NOT recommend you put your family members here if you want them to get the care they deserve. Please. I have not, not said anything in a very long time but I'm speaking up now because the community needs to know where they are putting their family and what their family will be around. Not to mention when I worked there, when state would show up here and there to make sure everything was how it was supposed to be the head staff would PRETEND to do their job would actually come up on to the floor ONLY when state was there and I thought it was so funny because when state wasn't there they would be hiding in their offices and I mean it when I say they NEVER were checking on anyone on any of the floors. When issues from residents family member were brought to their attention they would coward down. The amount of residents that got hurt was unthought of. Not to mention some me probably needed more medical attention then what they were given.

    I wish I could give this place "0" stars…read more My loved one was admitted to The Pines for orthopedic rehabilitation. The various issues we encountered ranged from disappointing to horrifying. - Patient was told not to move from bed without assistance but no one answered his call button in a timely way so he could use the commode. -Nurse refused to give him prescribed pain medication. When family intervened, it was discovered the nurse had misread the doctors orders. Medication was given but there was no rush to correct the mistake even though the patient was in pain. It was obvious the nurse was in no rush to deliver the medication once the mistake was discovered. -Family requested nursing assistance via telephone when the patient called the family in distress. It was discovered 2 1/2 hours later the nurse never checked on the patient. - Patient was in bed about 21-22 hours of the day except when doing physical therapy or using the commode. There was no encouragement for patient to move. - The patient was not cleaned well and began to smell bad. -Patient's clothes were not changed for over 3 days, causing significant odor. -The facility did not have enough ice packs and often did not offer them to the patient. When the patient requested ice, he was told the facility was low on ice packs. Who ever heard of a orthopedic rehab without enough ice packs? -Urine on the floor was present and was not cleaned. It was still on the floor the next day. -The food was almost inedible. Dinner the first night was 2 slices of tan squishy bread with a slice of processed cheese and a slice of unidentifiable meat. There was a scoop of runny white cole slaw on the plate. The milky white liquid from the slaw was running into the "sandwich" making the bread a soggy mess. -There was food left in his room for days. Family eventually threw it away. The worst problem was when the issues were brought to the staff to resolve the concerns, the staff listened but there was no apology and no actual resolution. Instead, there was a new issue almost every day. To get better results, the Administrator was contacted. He was "too busy" to listen and actually hung up the phone while I was seeking resolution. He did speak with my loved one, who had been so "out of it" on pain medication that he had only a foggy idea what had been happening with his care. A promised resolution meeting never materialized. If you care about your loved one, do not send them to this facility.

    Avoid High Peaks at every expense. My husband suffered for eight days in hospice care because they…read morewere unable to find the appropriate medications to keep him comfortable and at peace. Every other day changing up his medications. Every night in the middle of the night I needed to call and be put through a phone tree of 3-4 people and an hour and a half later to get answers. My husband was highly agitated and had extreme anxiety which they couldn't do a thing about. Finally, the only choice I was left with was to call an ambulance and have him taken to ECH where they were amazing and put him on a morphine IV and made him so very comfortable for the first time on his journey. Hospice would not allow my husband morphine because they were trying to save his kidney function. Are you kidding me? His kidney's were in complete kidney failure and only had 1% function. I would think being comfortable was their biggest concern. This is not what hospice is about and they should be ashamed to have provided such horrible care. I wouldn't wish my worst enemy to use High Peaks. They had the audacity to show up at the hospital on my husbands final day to defend their actions saying they did all the could. BS!!!!!! What absolute horrible care of another human being. High Peaks should be investigated for their inappropriate care. If I could give zero stars I would.

Than when she finally got to my building she said oh someone let me in well I still went downstairs bc the elevator is locked well she was not waiting at the elevator so I go to the door she is not at the door I text her and she like oh I ran up the stairs but there locked well dummmy if it's a locked building what makes you think the doors aren't going to be locked so then she like I am taking off alls I said to her is i was a little out off by the situation I mean she get a flu shot when she supposed to be meeting with me if you pay taxes you should know Medicad pays for this service and she is on your dime getting a flu shot when she supposed to be working ! Ok then she takes off and they still billed Medicad ! Well then about a few weeks ago I asked her to make me a Medicab appointment for December well she says you can't make it that far in advance remind me a few days ahead I think she was hoping I would forget well I called Medicab and guess what I just made the appointment and it's a few months before so she lied ! Beth is a liar ! Than I was apply for owpdd services and she was supposed to help me nope she didn't lift a finger to help me ! So if your thinking of applying to get a case worker from here think again go with someone else bc they suck oh if you think Beth is the only one who sucks think again my friend I won't say who who lives in my building also has them as a case worker she almost got evicted and when she told her case worker her case worker told her she couldn't help her well my friend called me I told my friend to call legal aide and in my friends circumstances I told my friend to also get sober and call healing springs in her circumstances well bc of the advice I gave my friend she kept her apartment but her case worker didn't do crap to help her and she getting paid with your tax dollars ! Well don't worry I made a report to Medicad that they billed for an hour that I didn't get services for an they didn't bother to call me the next day to follow up so I let them know I reported them for fraud well they didn't like that so they referred me to other agency's ! I said wonderful! To add insult to injury they sent me a letter in the mail informing me they hadn't referred me to another case manager ! So another lie by fort Hudson ! I implore you do not choose them as your case management they are awful they lie and they suck at there jobs at least 1000 times I asked Beth to fax sow thing to dss and she said she did I would follow up and call and she never did I would have the social worker here Madison do it and when I call again they say oh a Madison faxed it oh ok so Madison did his job who is paid by housing but my case worker who is paid by my Medicad is committed Medicad fraud every damn day ! Please report fort Hudson for medicad fraud they are the absolute worst agency ever

She got angry that I wouldn't let it go & poopoo'd every idea. She refused my request for physical therapy because she didn't think I would do the work. I ended up finding a new doctor within the network whom I thought the world of. He was a newer doctor, they hadn't crushed his Hope & want to help people yet. I've seen him for 8 years or so but it's gotten to the point I can't actually see him. Reception is great, some nurses are great, some are quite rude, cut you off, act like you should be honored that they are taking you blood pressure (around the elbow, not kidding) The nurses that triage the portal have been awful lately, I get that they need to save the doctor time but many times they have written back and not bothered to address my question. I turned out to have multiple chronic illnesses, you know, all the ones the first doctor poo poo'd, I also ended up in the hospital because of her crappy care. At my appointment, I was pissed but I hardly say a thing when I'm mad, I did say a couple things that I totally own. But when I got my care report it was like the doctor and I were at two different appointments. He said I was irate but he said the reason was over having to take a urine screen, that makes no sense, I was there for my controlled medicine check, you always get screened. he always typed in and put in quotations a bunch of things that I did not say. if I didn't know what really happneed & only read this (which goes to the next doctor) I would think this person was a drug seeker and picture this huge scene happening. no one's voice raised. I am beyond angry that he could use his position to do such a thing,

My latest experience (it's been a…read morecouple of years since my last interaction with Hudson Headwaters) was less than worthless. In the exam room, I waited for 2 hours while attendants came in and looked for stuff in cabinets and gave me no attention. A nurse did finally come in after 2 hours, checked the cut on my finger that had brought me to urgent care because of tingling up my arm and checked my reflexes. She said she'd get a doctor to look at it. About 25 minutes later, a doctor came in, looked briefly at my finger, and said it was OK. That was it. When I got to the check-out and asked for my bill and the summary of the visit which I'd been told I would be given, I was told there was no summary and no charge. (I figured that was because so little had been done.) But around 10 days later, I got an online bill for $273! When I called the number I was told to call for billing or insurance issues, I called--left an extended message--and got no return call for 24 hours! Today I opened the HH email again and see that I owe nothing--but no explanation of their error. I am not even sure whether I actually DO owe nothing (my usual insurance copay is $25). I called and left another extended message. Do I expect a call back? G-d knows!
