Bougainvilleas' record was flawless for the previous 2 years. My Mom seems happy and content. I only wish that the assistant administrator had not left recently--she was fantastic. This place is very easy to get to on Trousdale Drive, and is directly across the street from the Mills-Peninsula Medical Center. My niece and I took a scheduled tour of Oakmont of Burlingame. Anne, our guide, explained everything in detail and answered our questions. We were shown different apartment floor plans, common areas, and outdoor areas. It should be noted that when we entered the lobby, there was no Covid screening (such as temperature check). Masks were optional. The apartments are like hotel rooms, and do not have kitchens. Residents are to eat in the dining room, or have food brought to their room. All rooms are unfurnished, except for the mini fridge. We were only shown model rooms on the 1st and 2nd floors. There's a secure private garage underground. Oakmont features luxurious common areas, attention to detail, and there was live music in the lobby when we were there. They seem very accommodating to resident preferences and schedules for meals. There's also group outings for things like museums and shopping. At the end of our tour, Anne explained all the required paperwork and price rates. Overall, we had a very positive experience.

If you're looking for a super modern, locked down facility, this is not for you. But if you're looking for a "homey" feel, Westborough Royale should be one of the first facilities you tour. The only negatives are: Depending on the time of day, parking can be a bit tough. There have been times where I've had to sit in the parking lot up to an hour waiting for a spot to open up. There's usually street parking on Camaritas if you don't mind a short walk. And if you're coming here for the first time, you might not notice the front entrance. They're very friendly and welcoming, responding to my requests for help within a reasonable amount of time (I'm usually there at lunchtime, so staff are pretty busy with residents who need extra help with their meals). The courtyards are a great bonus. PR has a family room, and every few months a group of us get together to visit our friend, spilling into the adjacent courtyard when the weather allows. The Activities Director maintains a full daily schedule, and creates a colorful and ever-changing holiday or seasonal display, which reduces the "sameness" for the residents.

I was wrong, my husband developed a skin issue and lasted for a few months didn't get well. emergency service was called, but the skin problem was getting worse, I finally decided to take him to another smaller facility, under more personal care, my husband finally got over his skin problem. Unfortunately, even though the care was good, but within 3 months, they had to call emergency pick up three times and many phone calls to me because they didn't know how to handle his temperament due to the nature of his Alzheimer's disease. I finally realized I had to contact Peninsular Reflections again because I remember when my husband was at Peninsular Reflections the first time, I was never called due to any problem that my husband had that they couldn't handle. This second time I took my husband back to Peninsular Reflections. It has been 1 1/2 year, I visited my husband regularly, during this year and half, only received one call that my husband had a very small size rash, they informed me and let me know right away, within a week, they work with the doctor and the rash was recovered quickly. That was very efficient and great job. All the staff are friendly and eager to please. They always well come the last minute notice for visitation. To me, that means a lot. It also means they are not trying to make it looking better on the surface when you have an appointment to visit. Anna, the administer did a superb job leading the team at Peninsular Reflections and a facility you can trust with your love ones.

After a serious fall and a rehab facility, we moved her to The Trousdale. That was absolutely the right choice. The caregivers are the best I have ever encountered. Kind, warm, caring and friendly. She had around the clock care. They dressed her daily, took her to the dining room for her meals and engaged her in daily activities. She never once complained about being there. When dementia set in the staff addressed that also. She was happy. The Trousdale provides immediate communication to family members when there is an issue, i.e., falls, illness, or even behavioral issues. I highly recommend "The Trousdale" for your loved ones. If I am in need of assistance one day, I hope my family finds me a place like this, or sends me there. Those who are capable can come and go freely and those who no longer have the ability to safely go out on their own are entertained and engaged in social and physically therapeutic activities. In Feb, Dr arranged for a trapeze bar from Apria for my mother…read more In May she passed and I contacted Apria to pickup the equipment. I was told we "own" the trapeze bar and will not pick it up. In July, received written notice from Apria that if the bar is not returned I am liable for it. Called Apria detailing events and was told the miscommunication was the fault of the operators answering the call. Scheduled for equipment pick up July 27h. Apria is a no show. Called Apria the next day and advised that pick up was rescheduled to July 28th between 11:45 - 3:45pm with no prior notification of the schedule change. Its now 4pm and again Apria is a NO SHOW. No apologies, snippy attitudes and all around awful customer service. Apria, if you can't get it right, why are you in a business???
