We were worried and didn't know where to turn. From day one, Ms. Jessi and the entire staff were incredible. They worked patiently with him while also equipping us with valuable resources and guidance to support him at home. I especially appreciate that The Mays School brings excellent therapists directly onto campus, so my son received consistent help without the stress of driving to multiple appointments. Ms. Jessi's deep knowledge of neurodiversity has been invaluable. She not only helped my son thrive during his time at The Mays School, but also guided us in finding the right next school to continue his growth. Because of the care, patience, and expertise of The Mays School, my son has made tremendous progress both socially and emotionally. We are deeply grateful for this school and its dedicated staff who have made such a meaningful difference in his life.

The owner is currently doing so to silence me at this very moment. That's why they have nothing but 5 stars. In my opinion, the owner is unstable and encourages a cult like toxic environment. What they don't want you to know is the school is not accredited and is not Montessori. They are not associated with Montessori in any shape or form. They claim to be inspired by Montessori. In my opinion, not a lot of learning happens here, let alone Montessori inspired teaching. To give you an example, my daughter was writing letters in sand at an age where she should have started learning phonetics and started reading. Once I figured out that she wasn't learning anything I quickly started looking for a new preschool. In the meantime my daughter was being spit on daily by another child. I addressed this with the teacher many times with no avail. I told the mother of the child and because of that my child was expelled. Yes, that was my offense. In the time it took me to go get my child (this was the middle of the day when they expelled my 4 year old) they treated her so horrifically that she developed panic attacks. It took months for her to recover mentally. I know of other people who have had similar experiences. The cult like environment is so intense that they bully anyone who leaves the school or writes anything negative about this school. I would not recommend anyone to attend this school.

However, was highly upset when after dropping off my kid I had to go back to get something from his backpack. The door of the 3-5year old classroom was close. From the outside of it I could hear loud screaming and crying. I opened the door to realized that the teacher was screaming at my baby face. And was addressing him as if he was an adult. There was 2 teachers in that room, this situation could have been handled differently. The other teacher was just sitting down doing nothing as if she wasn't surprised how loud she was screaming at my baby. She was in my kids face yelling at him, I wish I could have had my phone on me to record her. Please be careful, behind doors who knows how our kids are being treated and talked to. No wonder they have 5 star they keep deleting reviews!!!! Most of there 5 stars are made by them. Save yourself the stress and looked them up!

When we arrived at the 3-5 door and saw our child I immediately picked her up. Maria takes her out of my arms to get juice when we're questioning things so she can't speak up. As soon as we walk out the front door our child tells us they had her in the high chair and she was screaming no. I take my child to her pediatrician the next day to have her checked out and let her know what's happened and what we should do. On November 7, 2025 my husband and I along with our 2 children take a typed and signed request asking for the footage. About 20 minutes after we arrive Ms. Maya brings in this lady and introduces her to us as a Coach. This woman whose name is either M'lady or Melane threatened and intimidated us for an hour until we told her we had this on file with our pediatrician. It was in that very moment her and Ms. Maya were suddenly on our side because they realized we weren't going to stay quiet about this. I simply told this woman I went home and read the laws of childcare and minimum standards online and she made this out to be a huge mistake and not "in my favor" were her exact words. She asked what "they" would think of that but would never say who they were. She also threatened that "they" would maybe have to come to my house like 3 times. She tried to make my husband and I feel bad for not reacting right then and there but instead we went home, talked to our daughter after she felt safe again, gathered facts, educated ourselves on the laws and proper steps going forward and then brought a formal signed letter less than 48 hours later asking to see the footage. It became blatantly obvious she was trying to keep us quiet. I told her repeatedly I didn't want to speak to her and she was making things worse. My husband asked her if she was a social worker and she said yes she works for them all meaning childcare centers all across the city. On November 9, 2025 we met Maya and Ali at the school and reviewed the footage. What we saw happen to our daughter who is special needs was truly horrifying and the way they handled it all made it so much worse. We were told before they showed us that they had not told any of the parents about this like they were doing us a favor but really they wanted to hide this incident. At no point time did they try and do the right thing in handling this. We watched footage and we witnessed 2 children put into high chairs right away where one remained the entire time and the other for at least 25 minutes until they were replaced by my daughter and the rest of the kids on their cots some awake and some asleep. This was at the end of nap time. 3-4 children including my daughter started being disruptive and getting up from their cots etc. Ms. Fazana sat with her back turned away from all the children even the ones in high chairs who could have moved and fallen over easily due to their ages. All of a sudden she turns around gets up walks straight to my daughter picks her up and goes to one of the high chairs. She takes out a child and puts my daughter in and then Immediately moves her over into the darkest part of the room where the only thing visible is the chair legs. My daughter is terrified of the dark and was kicking and screaming and banging her hands the entire 11 minutes she was restrained in that chair out of view of the camera. They brought in a 3rd director who also downplayed us and told us we were "throwing Happy Bees under the bus". We were also informed that evening that the lady who was supposedly a social worker someone Ali hired and hires from time to time to do investigations. He even told us this woman was good at speaking to the African American parents because she was trained in that. When we realized she had posed as a government worker we asked for her information and suddenly they didn't have it and said she was out. Look them up on the Texas childcare compliance and see how many citations they have.

I'm writing this review with mixed feelings. From an…read moreacademic standpoint the school is very good. Teachers are very good and my family had experience with age group 3-5 (preK 3 and preK 4-5). Staff is generally kind, as long as you are completely cooperative. A parent cannot speak up against or question anything. We did encounter some behavior issues that took the school weeks to address and multiple meetings with the administrator as my child kept coming home crying he was being picked on. My family has supported the school throughout, and loved it. Then in fall 2021 The school took action removing my son after registration, involuntarily, due to the administrator (who is also the owner of the school) refusal to accommodate to my 5-year-old's special needs. My child who was accommodated the previous year was told he may not return unless he follows new school regulations, where elsewhere considered illegal, regarding wearing masks when my child is medically exempt. The administrator waited until 3 days before the new school year started which left me without any other options but homeschool as registration closed everywhere else for the school year. These actions portraited the administration as unprofessional, careless to the consequences of their actions and cruel to a child that only wanted to come back to his friends and teacher. Then when I called the school to ask to collect my son's items that were left for him to return, his teacher blocked my number and hung up the call in my face. I am questioning the administration's ability to teach the Montessori values when they cannot follow them themselves. They surely are unable to teach by example. I would say, that if your child doesn't require any accommodation, if you do not mind supporting a school that discriminates and refuses education to a young child that is medically unable to wear a face cover and are not worried about the values they teach by example; this would be a great choice.

We love this school and its teachers and staff. The school definitely emphasizes its Catholic identity, which is the primary reason why I would even consider sending my kids to a Catholic school. There are several award-winning teachers here and it shows. Quality education, family-like environment and the tuition is extremely reasonable for a private school. While they may not have the fanciest things and facilities, when I see my child's development and love for going to school, I feel reassured that I've made the right decision by sending him here. I've gotten involved with the parent community, which at first was a bit daunting but it's been a great experience getting to know them and I look forward to journeying together with them as our children all grow up here.

However, I do have to say under this new principal the school has become very business driven and has lost the old Catholic school culture. She lacks leadership and has developed an atmosphere of turning the other way when issues evolve. She's very transparent of the families and student selections that have more facilitation to support economically. The bullying situation in the school is atrocious. They have nothing set in place to have any control over the situation and only have a part-time counselor so if it's her day off and there's an issue to be addressed, good luck. Again to be fair there is a handful of good hearted teachers that work hard and care about the students but the leadership. I feel well little by little deteriorate, the quality of the school. Just speaking from the heart and God willing things will change for future generations once this leadership team is no longer there.
