While waxing my forehead, the a new employee pulled out a chunk of hair from the side of my forehead. I was wearing a ponytail so the bald spot is very apparent. I immediately asked to end the service. I told the owner I will not be paying for the wax but will pay for the eyebrow threading. At first the owner told me that I should've told the lady before the wax that I don't want my baby hairs pulled (this is common sense, and my baby hairs have never been pulled in the 10 years I have been getting this service done). The owner apologized but demanded that I to pay in full. I even asked for a discount instead. I was YELLED AT over and over again in front of other clients demanding that I pay because "there is nothing she can do but apologize." I have never been treated with more disrespect at an establishment that I have given money to for years. The customer service is lacking and the new employees need to be better trained.

Upon reaching the place, I was told that my appointment was "cancelled automatically by their booking system". How does this even happen? The lady at the store that if I chose to continue with the appointment and if someone came in, they'd leave my service mid-way and attend to the new client. How is this place even working with such shoddy business practices??? Why provide reservation options when the place will cancel an hour before?? Or why not have enough staff to ensure bookings are fulfilled? Found a much better and honest salon in this area.

I've heard a few friends rave on and on about this place, and the only thing that turned me off was the price. With the student discount, it's roughly $3 dollars more. But I will gladly pay them the $3 more each time because of how nicely they thread brows. They give you the liberty to check in and PICK who you'd like to thread your brows! This was such a step up from the last place where I was randomly allocated to the next available threader. They thread so skillfully and they take their time on the client to make sure they can cope with pain/discomfort if needed to! The only reason I wouldn't give it a 5 star rating, is because waiting for your turn on line can feel a little dragged out. Each time I go, I wait like 10-15 minutes to get my brows threaded. But, I do understand that this is due to the level of precision achieved as well as the pacing of the process. All in all, I recommend this place to everyone!

This is something I now expect when I come, and I am just waiting for another salon to open nearby so I can go there instead. I called the Frisco location and they were open so I rushed over there instead. I'm honestly glad this happened because this location is so much better. A proper full face threading (she was very thorough and took her time), clean salon, friendly staff, and just an overall better experience. I have been getting my lashes done for a few years now and I can definitely vouch for how amazingly…read moretalented is Katie! I've been to a few others before and sometimes I think finding the best fit lash artist is like Cinderella and her glass slipper...you gotta try a few until you find the best fit! Let me tell you exactly how I've come to fall completely in love with her work: 1) Perfectionist! Katie does spend time on her volume sets but that's because she is literally making absolutely perfect fans on every single one of your lashes. How do I know? Because as my lashes grow out and naturally shed, I'll find one on my counter sink in PERFECT fan, not clumped together, not 3-4 lashes with globs on glue at the base. They are perfectly spaced lash fans that create beautiful wispy volume. I would rather lay there for two hours with PERFECTLY fanned out volume lashes than have a rushed one hour session with clumps. 2) Genuine and Real! Katie is honest and isn't trying to just make a fast buck with shoddy work. When I came to see her after not being able to be scheduled with my previous lash girl, she very honestly told me that she needed to remove the previous work and let my lashes grow back a bit. She could've easily just removed my previous set and put a new set on, but after removal, she saw that I had some natural lashes that needed to grow a bit more (apparently they might've been pulled out in a chunk due to glue clumping from my previous artist's work). She wanted what was best for my lashes and not what was best for her pocket! 3) Caring! She cares about the health of your natural lashes and wants you to be able to enjoy lash extensions for a long time. She educates you on your natural lash growth circle and lash care and because she is so meticulous in her careful placement of every full lash fan, my lashes really DO get healthier! 4) Lastly, TALENTED AF! She knows that I have thin but long natural Asian lashes and that a D curl is not going to work with my small Asian double lid. She knew to use a C curl, she knew to use thinner but more lashes versus thicker and less, she knew what length would work with my eye shape! She customizes it to fit your look. I even referred my girl friend to her who is also Asian but has different shaped eyes than me and I could tell she did a slightly different style and it looked amazing on her. Oh wait sorry and one more 5) did I mention her lashes lasted ALL MONTH? I used to get my lashes filled every two WEEKS with all my previous lash artists. I don't know how she does it, but they still looked good a MONTH later when I came back in for a new set. You know what that means? Better for my wallet!
