I have someone I regularly go to back home for threading & I was a little nervous to try a new place. I'm glad I trusted my instincts even after seeing the bad reviews though!! Totally worth the bus trip from UNL out here. TL;DR Very quick, & very cheap! Details: The lady who took care of me gave me clear & easy to follow directions as she moved from my brows to my lips. I did sit on the sofa for a few minutes while she took care of the two customers before me, but it wasn't a long wait. Oh, & i stopped her for a few seconds at the beginning to just let her know I wanted to keep my brows thick & she confirmed I just wanted to clean up. Was not rude at all. I don't know about the married duo everyone keeps talking about, but my experience with Falguni went well. I told her what I wanted and she delivered. This place is certainly not worth it. Before there was Falguni who was really good. She no longer works there. I went today to do my waxing here, and I got bruises on my hands. I went back there to make them see, she wasn't really ready to accept her fault. But later accepted, and asked me to apply gel. I never had any bruises while doing waxing ever. There were people over the phone probably her relatives who was giving me advices, how I should apply coconut oil. Firstly why will I go to some place where I would get bruises on my body and then apply ointment. Not really worth it. Please don't ever go there. read more

I can't speak on the bad reviews regarding bad customer service but can only speak on my experience. I went in the day after thanksgiving, they're walk in only and I was the only person there. The lady at the front (should have gotten her name sorry) quickly got me say and threaded my eyebrows. Took under 10 min was very reasonably priced ($8 plus tip so $10 in total). It was a great experience my first time getting my eyebrows threaded and I will be coming back. If you're looking for something reasonably priced and a place you can pop in whenever it's convenient for you I recommend them. read more

I saw a lot of bad reviews due to management but I decided to give it a try. I was driving from California to Iowa for school and needed mine done. Let's just say if she was any closer to Iowa, I would make the drive just to get my eyebrows done. She was a very sweet lady who first waxed my eyebrows, then threaded every last hair, and then cut. As much as I love getting my eyebrows threaded ere for a cheaper price than any other place, I feel as if the customer service isn't how it should be. I went in at 7:50pm and the lady wouldn't thread my eyebrows because she was closing and a couple days I went in and while she threaded my eyebrows she was talking on the phone the entire time. I've been going here for awhile & am always happy with the shape they give. Maybe there's a slight language barrier, but I'm not entirely sure what other people are complaining about. They can maybe be taken as a little curt if your feeling are easily hurt, but how many times a day do they have to say, "hold here" and deal with dumb questions? No waxing here, just threading. I walked in and asked for eyebrow threading and the lady at the front was just so rude. As if I were an inconvenience to her. I sat in the chair and asked her if she would be able to work with my eyebrows since I've never had them shaped in any way. She proceeded to do a shoulder shrug like she didn't know what she was doing. So I told her I just didn't want her services. And I got up and left. Never again will I go there again. Lady working there is very rude and she was very rough the with neck. She will not be getting my money anymore. In the 6 years I have been getting my eyebrows threaded I have never been swollen or red, and this time I was, I even had skin peeling off around my eyebrow. The worse threading experience I've ever had. And I've done threading all my life. How bad was it? It was bad enough that I actually created an account on Yelp to warn other potential customers. The lady who did my brows was extremely rude. Worse of all, she didn't even do a proper job. And I want to clarify something: you might be thinking that perhaps my experience could be due to some cultural difference or slight language barrier, which was mentioned by the reviewer before me and is definitely a legitimate concern - this actually does happen where people can misunderstand someone because of a language barrier! It has happened to me before and I've seen it happen many times as well. However, I really don't think this was the case here. I'm an international and of a similar background - my mother is Indian and I can understand Hindi/Tamil very slightly. I really do not think this wasn't a case of cultural differences. First off - I know how threading goes so when she told me to pull down at my eye I did so as I was used to doing. Apparently it was wrong, so she roughly grabbed my arm and made me press down on my eye a lot more firmly, which was almost painful! The second time she made this sound at the back of her throat when I squeaked because of how uncomfortable it was. At this point I didn't know what to do and I know I shouldn't have, but I apologized for not doing it right as it had been a while since I last did threading. How did she respond? "People just don't use their brains sometimes." I was so shocked I didn't even realize in the moment how rude that was. I wondered if I wasn't being friendly because I was so tired from lack of sleep, so I tried to make small talk - maybe she had had a bad day and as an international I understand how difficult it can be to be away from home. I said that it sounded like she had a long day but I appreciate her doing this for me and that she did a good job last time I was here. (This was true - she did do my eyebrows the first time I came there. I remember that she seemed indifferent back then but we didn't have time to talk - the saloon was so busy on my first visit that I was in and out in no time. To her credit, she did a decent job on my eyebrows back then.) I was getting up as she was done but she just cut me off from my compliment, saying "I don't remember you. No. You never came here before," and she actually rolled her eyes and glared at me as if I said something inappropriate. At this point I really just wanted to leave - this lady had pretty much ruined my mood and I couldn't understand why she was acting this way. I actually felt embarrassed! After paying I asked if I could have a receipt, to which she just shrugged, no reply whatsoever as she walked off to a back room. She didn't come back so I just... left. The worse thing is that now I'm back home and I can see that one of my eyebrows is noticeably shorter than the other and the other one is thicker. Customer service is horrible, GET OFF YOUR PHONE/FACE TIME. I really miss some of the other employees that used to work there. As for the services she does a good job shaping my eyebrows, only once did she mess them up. I am thinking about switching to the shop that is in the mall. This place has great results- she does a really good job. BUT it is without a doubt the WORST customer service. Consistently. If you're going to go for the service-- don't. She will ignore you, she will never ask how you are, one time she literally sat there FACETIMING her family WHILE doing my eyebrows. But I'll give it to her- she's good at her job. I went to have threading on the lip and eyebrows. While I was in the chair she was on the phone with the speaker on and the phone was placed on the couch a distance from where I was sitting. I had the eyebrows done and then told her I wanted the lip also. I could tell she was not happy about that. She did not spend near the amount of time she usually does. When I got home I noticed the lip still had quite a bit of hair. I went back the next day to have her fix it. When I went in she was very defensive when I asked her to fix it. There's an older lady who was very good but she went to India a few months ago and I haven't seen her since. Great job threading. I see reviews where people are commenting on her not doing waxing or offering many services, this is a THREADING spa. So if you're confused, it's your own fault. Her prices were very cheap and my brows have never been done better, and I'm a respectable hair stylist at a salon..so that's saying a lot. She works fast paced and doesn't have much time for chatter, don't take it personal. Most guest are walk in and it's first come first serve.
