Re: Fabricland…read moreat 2501 Hampshire Gate, 7A, Oakville, ONtario 905-287-4148 My mother and I recently had the pleasure of meeting Maurie at the location of reference. Maurie was beyond helpful, knowledgeable and an absolute pleasure to deal with. She actually approached us and asked if we needed any help. I cannot tell you the last time I received such outstanding customer service anywhere. She also advised us that "she loves her job". She helped choose the fabric, and gave us so many recommendations. This Fabricland is not even the closest location to me but I will be doing all of my shopping here from now in the hopes Maurie is working that day and I can have the pleasure of dealing with her again.

We came on the Sunday before we left, and the store didn't open until 11:00am, but there were already door crashers waiting to go inside. I had been to a Len's Mill store previously when I had lived in London, and it was alright, nothing too special. It's more of a big warehouse looking store and sells a bit of everything. While my mom was looking through the fabrics, I ended up walking around, they had a bunch of clothing items, craft supplies, bedding, kitchen and bathroom decor. They had a lot of snacks at the cash register too. I ended up getting some pretzel snacks and some candy. Overall, this store is a unique store with many different items. Although this store isn't the cleanest, or most organized, but you can certainly find some treasures. Unfortunately, we don't have a location in Windsor, maybe one day.

If you can get fabric or other items on sale you will find good deals, otherwise I find their products to be very expensive. But when they do have sales, they are worthwhile. If you can avoid angering the quick tempered staff, go for it. I think I'll stick to the brampton location where they are actually friendly.

The fabrics are over priced, but on the flip side there is a huge selection. If you can find the same thing at Fabricland, I suggest you do as you will save a great deal. Fabric is not the only item over priced. I once went there to pick up a simple white onesie for my newborn. It's sale price was $12.00, from $19.99. Needless to say I did not buy it.
