Exit the highway, drive past the parking garage and turn left onto Blue Hill Drive, and take the left on in where it says "Amtrak/MBTA Pick-up & Drop off". Either entrance at the end will work. While the left side is more direct and closer to the Amtrak counter, the right side will take you past the Dunkin Donuts. There's a waiting area, the bathrooms are by the elevator, and only two tracks. 1 is outbound, and 2 heads into Boston. Simple. Start heading out when they announce that your train is arriving, about 8 min in advance. Head towards the right if you are Coach bound. Take a seat and the conductor will scan your ticket code and tuck a paper ticket above you. Take it with you if you change seats. If you go past NYC, the crew changes, and every passenger gets scanned again. If you are ADA and need access to one of their accessible seats, there's a way to mention it when buying your ticket, so the conductor will save you a seat in advance. Two bathrooms are available at one end of the Coach car. If the light is on, the bathroom is taken and the door locked. These are roomier than those on airplanes. So are the seats, although they otherwise resemble those found in planes with the tables that fold down and seats that recline back. 120 volt plugs are available, but no screens and no headset jacks, so no music. Stops are announced, so it felt that communication was pretty good on the train and at the station. Coming back and arriving on track 2, we had to exit and head up and over the tracks, where we could go straight into the garage, or take the escalator down by Dunkin Donuts. There's an elevator as well, which will take you to the bathrooms.

The parking lot is huge and quite affordable at $15.00 a day. There are also cans downstairs and an area for buses. Truthfully, better than going into South Station for the train.

I have been taking the train in and out of this station for a couple months now. There are a couple…read morethings that make it a great station. First, there is a building so in the cold months, you can keep warm and the summer months, stay cool. Second, there is a Dunkin Donuts so if you do get hungry, they got you covered. There are bathrooms, and for a train station, they're actually pretty clean. There is also a large parking lot, and it is covered. I believe daily parking costs $7. Lastly, there are surrounding restaurants and stores in walking distance in the rare event you are stranded in the area. For the most part, the train is punctual, and the walk to get to the tracks are not too bad. They are good at communicating delays, and remind passengers of approaching trains. There is also a big screen, and smaller screens with the timetable. It doesn't get too loud, and the Amtrak to Washington does stop there is the afternoons. There are elevators, escalators, ramps, and stairs, so very handicapped accessible. One suggestion I would make it having benches on the tracks. When it's nicer out, it would be nice to be able to sit outside while waiting for the train, but currently, you can only stand. There is a lot of seating inside though. They also have a couple ticket windows.

I love the MBTA! I enjoy taking public transportation to get me to work, explore new places, see…read morefriends etc... and I have taken the commuter rail starting from this origin station countless of times. Unfortunately, this is not my favorite station and I will explain why. While this station is located conveniently in the heart of Wellesley, navigating through the station itself can get very confusing. First and foremost, the two platforms can be hard to get to, and it's very hard to tell where you should be. There is a fence in the middle that prevents you from crossing the track, meaning you have to go up the massive flight of stairs and cross the overhead bridge to get to the other platform. This is not handicap accessible by any means, and means that if you mess up which train you need to be at, you're essentially cooked. Additionally, there is an inbound/outbound platform on each side, but the train often switches tracks without proper notification, so it's hard to tell where to be. For instance, in the morning I'll want to go to Worcester and will go on the outbound platform. However, in the evening I'll want South Station, and this train going inbound will arrive on the outbound platform. Everyone is confused and the signs just say "Track 1" or "Track 2". The track 2 sign is posted on the bridge, but on the side of the inbound platform, so it's hard to tell which track is which - I still couldn't tell you. Additionally, I've sometimes noticed that in the mornings there are bats that resunder this bridge, so it's pretty uncomfortable having to walk to the platform under the bridge.

Close to the center of Wellesley, Wellesley Square is a below grade station. There are two…read more medium-sized parking lots, one on each side of the tracks for a total of 224 spaces. A small glass booth exists as a waiting area for inbound. I did not see one for outbound trains. The station does have some handicapped accessibility but the website mentions "significant accessibility barriers." I did not see any wheelchair ramps for getting onto or off the trains. Located on the Framingham/Worcester line, Wellesley Square is between Natick Center (outbound) and Wellesley Hills (inbound). It is in Zone 3. Inbound and outbound, there are a total of 20 stops here during a single day. [Review 10132 overall, 1718 of 2018.]
