Take a seat and the conductor will scan your ticket code and tuck a paper ticket above you. Take it with you if you change seats. If you go past NYC, the crew changes, and every passenger gets scanned again. If you are ADA and need access to one of their accessible seats, there's a way to mention it when buying your ticket, so the conductor will save you a seat in advance. Two bathrooms are available at one end of the Coach car. If the light is on, the bathroom is taken and the door locked. These are roomier than those on airplanes. So are the seats, although they otherwise resemble those found in planes with the tables that fold down and seats that recline back. 120 volt plugs are available, but no screens and no headset jacks, so no music. Stops are announced, so it felt that communication was pretty good on the train and at the station. Coming back and arriving on track 2, we had to exit and head up and over the tracks, where we could go straight into the garage, or take the escalator down by Dunkin Donuts. The parking lot is huge and quite affordable at $15.00 a day. There are also cans downstairs and an area for buses. Truthfully, better than going into South Station for the train.

There is not much more than a covered bench here for waiting but there is a visible "next train" board that I found not only very helpful, but also very accurate. There is no overhead crossing here, you'll be crossing the tracks at a designated area. If you're headed to the parking lot, then you're waiting for the train to get out of the way before you can cross. For inbound trains, there is a raised platform. There are signs that tell you so, but I did see at least one train rider who didn't see the signs and had to run/jog to get to the boarding area when the train arrived. The station is on the "Franklin" line. For normal runs, it is between Islington (outbound towards Forge Park / 495) and Endicott (inbound towards South Station). On days with Patriots games, there is special service from here that goes outbound to Foxboro and inbound to Back Bay. There are no ticketing machines here that I could see. You can buy your ticket on board (I saw someone do that) or there's an app you can download and use.

Great for residents who reside in the 'burbs and time goes by quickly checking out the views in the fall. The rail was CLEAN and they take your 8 bucks when you sit down. It gave me nostalgia from back in the day riding the train with my fam! Folks that worked there were friendly too and I felt very safe riding it alone. There's plenty of parking at the depot for those who commute into Boston often. I was honestly wishing the ride was longer, HA!! I'd take it again in a heartbeat especially if you need a quick cheap ride to the city. Do not take uber or lyft in this area. They are slow and the funny part is you will get to town quicker if you take the train. Do it!! You'll love it.

This station/lot is a good option to move up a zone from Walpole stops and points south, making it a more affordable option. There are two parking areas on each side of the railroad tracks, with the east lot being the larger lot. There is also a Dunkin' Donuts nearby if your wait for the next train is long.

All of the signs are to communicate the location of the handicap platforms. If you don't understand that you can easily mistake those signs as directional indicators for where the train is going and some cases that could lead one to board the wrong train. Fix is easy. Just put up one sign that says "Boston Train" and another that says "Outbound Train". Handicap people are smart enough to see the platforms and ramps for wheelchairs.

There is some parking off of Rte 27 near the underpass under the tracks. The local cops and businesses will tow you if you try to park in a non-commuter rail parking lot. If the the station is open, get your tickets there from the coffee shop inside to avoid a surcharge on the train. Their machine is unreliable sometimes however. Would have more stars if it was open later and had a bit more parking.

This is a bit of a special MBTA Commuter Rail stop. It's way in the back of The Commons at Windsor…read moreGardens apartment complex. It's part of the Franklin/Forge Park line. Positive points: Not a crowded station. Less of a scramble to get on/off the train. It's about in the middle of the line. If you're getting on here to head towards Boston, you have a good chance of getting a seat as it's before 3 or 4 stations with huge parking lots and lots of people. Two shelters at the ends of the platform. Less positive points: A bit isolated at night as not a lot of traffic/people will be coming by since it's at the very back of the complex. I haven't had any problems late at night or early in the morning. No parking unless you're a resident of the apartment complex. Signs up everywhere saying resident parking only, towing enforced, etc. Not sure how strictly they enforce this but do you really want to be towed? So this is pretty much a drop off/pick up station. It's technically a flag stop. While I've never seen the trains not stop there, theoretically if the engineer doesn't see anyone on the platform and nobody on the train is getting off, the train might not stop. Tell the crew on the train you're getting off here or be visible on the platform (not hiding in the shelters) at train time if you're waiting to board. So, one star off for no parking, otherwise this is a pretty good stop to use.
