$150 to see a psychiatrist with no insurance and a 15 minute window of talking. Take the full 15 min. Only Psych office that answered my calls. I see Nicole D. She is caring, on time, and listens to you. She explains the medications and their side effects.

I truly felt at home and I truly felt like we were a family. Of course, with every family and in a rehab, there is bound to be some interpersonal problems. Sadly, the one staff member who I found to be rigid and lacking of empathy was a problem for everyone single one of my roommates. He treated us the way you might suspect someone who looks down on addicts would treat you...like garbage and less than a human. There were several clients who had verbal confrontations with him and he seems to have not learned from any of the feedback he received. Life is not black and white and there isn't a single addict who deserves to be treated as worthless pieces of trash. That treatment DOES NOT provide the supportive and encouraging environment one needs to recover. All he did was add stress to the house...one of my major triggers. Now that I have gotten that out is the way, please know that the therapies provided are so helpful. Who would have ever thought that art therapy could be so intense and helpful? Yoga, fitness, and group therapies were all amazing. The chef is top notch...I have never eaten so well. The housekeeping was spectacular with turn-down service, the techs (all but one) are fantastic and overall amazing people. The nurses were so helpful and caring. I was going to give it four stars because of the one god awful tech, but I think Vogue truly deserves 5 stars. I am so fortunate to have spent my time in rehab there. I am forever grateful to the folks there. They keep in touch after and you leave there knowing you're leaving behind people who care about you and are cheerleaders praying for your success.

The gentleman I spoke to said he was reaching out to the nurse in the area, and that I would have someone here by six or seven. I received an intake form to fill out and I did. A while later, I get an email saying, oh, we could try to book you for this coming friday. I called their office and I was told that they almost never book for the same day. After reaching out to the nurse again, they said that she had no availability until friday. What a total screw up on the part of the person I initially spoke to. I don't think they have any idea what they were doing. And the person who said that? They would give me the refund and apologized could barely speak english and sounded like she was about thirteen years old. I would absolutely not recommend this company for anybody for anything. At all. Total total incompetence.

As a person in recovery, I have been in the care of a lot of doctors. Being a doctor is a lot of work, but being a doctor for an addict requires an extra level of understanding. It takes patience and quite a bit of extra time to figure out a patient's more sensitive needs and often long and detailed drug history. I have been seeing Dr. Peterson since I moved to LA in the spring of last year, so for over a year now. I notice a stark difference between his methods of practice and addictions specialists I have seen in the past. Dr. Peterson has really taken the time to get to know my personal history with medications I have been prescribed in the past and double and triple check my subjective experiences with these medications while in addition to my medical record. Often for addicts, medication is an emotional subject; Dr. Peterson's therapeutic communication is superior to all other doctors I have seen since shifting from regular family physicians to addiction specialists and I have always felt comfortable and never embarrassed in his care. Dr. Peterson has gone above and beyond to get to know me as a patient and a person. He knows addiction treatment is more dynamic process than writing patient prescriptions. He understands addiction as an incurable disease that requires lifelong treatment and tackles this truth head-on with a contagiously positive and motivating attitude. It is a fact that Dr. Peterson has improved my quality of life not only through his care as a medical provider but also as a role model. Another point I would like to note is that he remains conscious of a patient's financial situation, another example of his ethical excellence.

Patient abandonment just proves he is in it for the money and not the patients. Great guy when you are talking to him and seems to really care but as a lot of his patients found out it's not necessarily the truth. But hey he will give you all the injections that don't work that you want

For someone with such experience and expertise, she's extremely down-to-earth and approachable. I came to Dr. Vause at a time of change in my life (at work, with family, and in my relationships), and my stress was surging. My depression and anxiety levels were becoming hard to manage, and I was turning to drugs and alcohol to cope. Dr. Vause helped me get through it. In addition to counseling, she guided me through some challenging but needed adjustments to my medication regimen. Every med suggestion was explained clearly, Dr. Vause answered all of my questions, and I knew what to expect in terms of effects and side-effects. I never felt as if pills were just being pushed my way; she really wanted me to participate in my own treatment and understand her reasoning. In addition to the excellent medication recommendations and adjustments, she is a wonderful therapist. Since seeing her, I have felt much better, and have experienced real improvements in my life. Her combination of innate sensitivity, compassion, and deep medical expertise is quite rare. I feel completely comfortable and secure in this relationship, and am fortunate to have found this exceptional doctor. I know I am cared for as a whole person, not just a bundle of problems, and there's nothing I hesitate to talk to Dr. Vause about. Having her in my life is itself therapeutic and a source of strength for me. Thank you Dr. Vause!

I asked for a referral (virtually every doctor has at least one other doctor they refer patients to) but she had NONE. She seemed completely unapologetic and I felt like I was simply wasting her time and she just wanted me to hang up. Obviously since she has no openings for new clients there is no harm to her business by posting this...only saving others from wasting their time. I am suicidal and need a doctor asap. But I don't need a doctor that lacks compassion and has no interest to help unless you happen to be an existing patient.
