I've walked on this scenic canal many times with my husband and dog. As you'd expect, it's a long flat path adjacent to the canal, with plenty to see along the way. It runs for miles, and it's easy to get onto at Neath, by B&Q, Tonna and Resolven. I'm sure you can get on at Glynneath as well, but I've never made it that far!
You do see a good bit of the run down areas of Neath - and the back of people's houses, but there's also some great scenery along the way as well. If you're lucky and observant, you may be able to spot some wild life - as well as the odd dog (not talking about mine!).
It's not a place I would walk on my own. It's very quiet, and I have passed some strange people now and again, and I was glad that I was with my husband on those occasions! read more
