"If you give a man a fish, he will eat for one day; if you teach a man to fish, he will eat for a lifetime." It is with great pleasure that I am able to publicly praise, the remarkable, Dr. Neal Olshan. Ignorance is bliss, but what occurs when one is constitutionally incapable of ignorance? Apathy at its worst. Until working with Dr. Olshan, I felt that the only method to control the psychological-madness pervading through ever aspect of my life was to acquiesce dismissing my excelling cognitive-functioning altogether. Essentially, I resented myself, was my own worst enemy, and viewed my strengths as weaknesses--looking back on this now, I can't help but chuckle at how I missed the paradox of it all. Dr. Olshan immediately noticed the self-defamation that I was practicing. He made certain that I had extensive knowledge of self-awareness by using a plethora of tools: literature, case-studies, inter/intrapersonal experiences, similes, etc. I was then GUIDED to discovering my potential, discovering how destructive I had been by compartmentalizing my talents in order to lower, yet more common, standards. Throughout our process, I felt as though I was having a conversation with myself, about myself, which illuminated exactly who I was. I loved what I discovered, equaling to self-love. Working with Dr. Olshan has indubitably been one of, if not the most, rewarding experiences of my life. Investing my time and energy into his impeccable method has been/will likely remain the greatest investment of my life. This man was the missing link needed for my reemergence, redirecting my thought process to inner-pride. Dr. Olshan did not give me the paralyzing 'one meal fish', but rather, he gave me the wisdom to 'flourish for a lifetime'. I am grateful! read more
