The appointment confirmation didn't even include the provider's name, and no one told me beforehand that the provider was out of network. When I brought this up, the office simply told me it was my responsibility and refused to take any responsibility for assigning me to an out-of-network provider without letting me know. I think patients should be told this upfront so they can decide whether to proceed. I used to really like this place because of Dr. Rob, but he has since left. I had already been switching hygienists because I felt the cleanings were often rushed and not thorough ( I was in a dental hygiene program). I kept coming back mainly because I trusted Dr. Rob, but now that he's gone, I think it's time to find another dental office.

The staff truly makes this office stand out. Tonia at the front desk is incredibly helpful with scheduling and logistics and genuinely tries to make things easy for patients. On the clinical side, I worked closely with Christina, who assisted with my temporary crowns and works closely with Dr. Vakay. What really stood out to me was that after learning I was having surgery (unrelated to dental work), Christina actually reached out afterward to check on how I was doing. That kind of thoughtfulness is rare and says a lot about the people in this office. I also worked with Rose, who was equally careful, precise, and kind. My dad called Kelly's personal cellphone, she had never seen me, but was able to fit me in last minute early Friday morning. She moved around her busy schedule for me and took her time, diagnosing and fixing the tooth to perfection, and she did so swiftly so I could make a flight 2 hours away in Baltimore that afternoon. I returned for a routine check up and I have never had my teeth so thoroughly examined in my life by any other dentist (and I have had my fair share of dental and ortho work). Dr. Mayer is so knowledgable, and she's a real pro (she seems so young you'd think she just got into the biz but she works like she's a 50 year vet). She has an incredibly calm and soothing demeanor and at times I actually felt rested and unbothered when I had to have 6 cavities filled at once. The staff is friendly, prompt, and organized.
