We were continuously given medication without a clear explanation of the underlying cause. When we finally sought a second opinion at another veterinary hospital, we were informed that he had advanced stomach cancer as well as kidney disease. We were told that his condition had progressed significantly and that earlier, more comprehensive testing might have made a difference. We were devastated to learn that it was too late for effective treatment and had to make the heartbreaking decision to put him to sleep. What makes this even more upsetting is that after losing our dog, we continue to receive repeated calls regarding the remaining balance from the last visit. During a time of grief, we expected empathy and compassion not persistent billing reminders. Pet owners deserve transparency, thorough diagnostics, and genuine care

The staff from that first horrible phone call to make arrangements to put him down until the very last moment of picking up his ashes was nothing short of exemplary compassionate service. They were so caring and kind every step of the way and really helped my family navigate through one of our worst days. If I could give them a thousand stars I would.

That being said one of my babies was sick. It came from no where so I wasn't prepared financially. As I was in the room crying some man Josh walked in and comforted me talking me about how it hurts to lose his own and he understands my pain... no one else saw this man...I wanted to thank him for his compassion.. everyone kept saying there is no Josh here there is no Joshua here so for the longest time my friends were telling me maybe his name was Jesus and Joshua was the English way of saying Yeshua which I really believed but then someone said one of the owners is Joshua so I was just there on a day when he was there and he was a very kind-hearted person and I could not afford to get my baby cremated I did not want to leave her in a freezer or have her community cremated with a bunch of kitty cats that I just wanted to have her with me I would actually have all of the animals that are cremated I would actually bury them in the most beautiful places so that they don't just get cremated and thrown away I would like to make beautiful flowers where they were once alive but that being said after I left I guess the guy Joshua got to see that I couldn't afford to do all the things I wanted to for my baby and I only had a little bit of money on me and they kept calling me every couple weeks asking and I said I promise as soon as I get a new job I was in between work the covid thing was happening it was horrible and I got a letter in the mail saying that I can come pick up my baby's ashes because they planted a tree in her honor and one of the forest and the forest paid for my baby to get cremated so that I could have her my heart was so happy the whole way there I cried and now I have to go back bring that kitty cat's daughter actually her niece but she fed her because her sister and her had kitten same time so they fed each other's kittens and it was the most cutest beautiful thing to see two sisters swapping babies and now 14 years later my baby is a big girl and I took her to a different vet and they did nothing but take all months rent out of me and give me some saline solution for my cat's eye not even antibiotics so I can only hope the companion will have something better I'm afraid they're going to say that we're going to have to put her down but if that's God's will I cannot watch my baby suffer and anytime I brought a cat there that I was fostering if there were sick from the street I would say can I at least have him for one week before he passes away so that I could show him what it's like to be loved in a house with humans and they would give me medicine to keep him comfortable for that week and I would spoil the cat for a week whoever it was whether it was my boy buddy or my baby girl either way they assisted me and they made sure that they helped me and they didn't take a month's rent off of me and give me nothing they literally would give me real medicine to help

After checking in we were directed to the Feline floor. Shortly after DJ came over to greet us and directed us to an exam room. Sans examined the exam room. lol The doctor came in and examined Sans. He was so busy exploring and looking out the window that he declined a treat. DJ comforted Sans while receiving his shot in his rear leg. A few minutes later he was back to exploring and didn't want to leave. DJ assisted with getting Sans ready and we proceeded to check out. There was an issue with my card and my bank was not open yet. David, Mia, Lauren and Kelly were very kind and patient as I sat in the waiting room to resolve the matter. Companion Pet Hospital team extends care, patience and compassion which means so much when it comes to my fur baby. Thank you!

Our female dog has a collapsed trachea and enlarged heart which causes her to cough often when put into stressful situations like vet visits. When we arrived at their office today, 10/28/23 @ 4PM, she was once again stressed and the extremely rude receptionist, Kim Champion, asked my wife and I to stand outside because our dog was too loud and thought she might be contagious. When I explained to her that she was in respiratory distress and had an appointment for her condition, she told me that we still needed to stand outside. Dr. Kaplan also chimed in and said she sounded terrible and needed to go outside. She has sounded like this for over a year and Kaplan and staff know this! We could have waited comfortably in one of their many open patient rooms, but NO they insisted we stand outside!! This infuriated me and I stormed out! I couldn't fathom how individuals that are so nasty and lack any compassion for pets in distress can work in a veterinary office! Dr. Hanan is by far the only good one left at that office. We have been customers of this practice for 11+ years and have spent several thousand dollars there. I guess our loyalty and patronage means nothing to this staff. It is time to move on to a vet that actually cares about their paying customers and their pets. I love my dogs and I was angered at how we were treated! I should have handled the situation better, but there is no excuse for the disrespect and lack of professionalism shown by Champion and Kaplan! When I informed them that we were leaving their practice, Champion said "Whatever and good!" We should have known not to expect much from a business that resides in a run down and abandoned shell of a shopping center!
