This is out of business. Rode past there the other day. All signage is down and there were no cars in the parking lot.

She listed a bunch of things for me to spend my money on then hung up the phone. My dog is in pain and she's worried about the things I can spend my money on him for. I seriously am reconsidering on where I take my dog if the number 1 reason why I'm here isn't put first. I'm sick and tired of everyone's reason of respect comes from money.

Our female dog has a collapsed trachea and enlarged heart which causes her to cough often when put into stressful situations like vet visits. When we arrived at their office today, 10/28/23 @ 4PM, she was once again stressed and the extremely rude receptionist, Kim Champion, asked my wife and I to stand outside because our dog was too loud and thought she might be contagious. When I explained to her that she was in respiratory distress and had an appointment for her condition, she told me that we still needed to stand outside. Dr. Kaplan also chimed in and said she sounded terrible and needed to go outside. She has sounded like this for over a year and Kaplan and staff know this! We could have waited comfortably in one of their many open patient rooms, but NO they insisted we stand outside!! This infuriated me and I stormed out! I couldn't fathom how individuals that are so nasty and lack any compassion for pets in distress can work in a veterinary office! Dr. Hanan is by far the only good one left at that office. We have been customers of this practice for 11+ years and have spent several thousand dollars there. I guess our loyalty and patronage means nothing to this staff. It is time to move on to a vet that actually cares about their paying customers and their pets. I love my dogs and I was angered at how we were treated! I should have handled the situation better, but there is no excuse for the disrespect and lack of professionalism shown by Champion and Kaplan! When I informed them that we were leaving their practice, Champion said "Whatever and good!" We should have known not to expect much from a business that resides in a run down and abandoned shell of a shopping center!

I started coming to Rothman Animal Hospital since 1995! Three dogs and two bunnies later, Rothman…read moreis still my vet. The staff is so compassionate when end of life comes. Miss Shelley (I call her "Aunt" Shelley, since she takes care of all of us - pets AND people) and the other staff and Drs have sent a personal condolence card both times they helped send my elderly dogs over the rainbow bridge. I think we all cried. The fur kids have seen several Drs over the years, and each has been lovely. We've loved them all - Dr Liez, Dr Freda, Dr Screnci... and all the staff. During the pandemic the office set up a "socially distant" treatment method that has worked out great for us. During COVID I adopted a little rescue dog who suffered from chronic ear infections, so we were back and forth to the vet several times in a few months for treatment (now all under control, thanks for asking). We were greeted in the parking lot, and a tech escorted little Winnie inside, while I stayed out in the car. The Dr called to discuss her condition and treatment, then a tech escorted Winnie back to me, safe and sound. I hope they keep the parking lot system when the pandemic is over - as an option, anyway. For basic exams and shots, it's great. I do understand that for serious illness and end of life, in person might be best. Curmudgeon alert: I'd rather the person who insists on shouting on his/her cell phone in the waiting room would stay in the car. Or let me stay in MY car so I don't have to listen to the call! End of Alert. I appreciate the service and compassion of the personnel at Rothman, and strongly recommend them when someone asks me.

Both my animals received care that was below my expectations. One surgery they promised a 2 inch incision, she was cut from the top of her shoulder to her underbelly. She looked like Frankenstein.the same pup had chronic ear infections ( all the time). Medication just for that was close to $500 each time I left there and went to an animal hospital in Philly within 2 weeks it was done. Outrageous. Unfortunately after all this I lost both of my girl. 14 yo and 15yo I vacillated if I should write this but it still haunts me how we were treated. Whenever I get fur babies I certainly won't go back.

We have an appointment with his vet, I hope he makes it. This hospital could have helped him but they didn't. I told them, when I had brought him there that he was not eating or drinking and he's been very socially distant as well as some other details. They then made us wait for a total of 6 hours. I had to go to the front desk to ask when we were going to be seen and they sent us to the room we were at before and made us wait for at least 2 hours. I then had to leave the room to the front desk again to see what was going on and they then had a nurse come in and say we're next. Waited... waited and waited, before finally taking my suffering cat out of their hospital. Do NOT take your pet here. I can foresee a comment from one of the RBVH's staff saying some cold hearted excuse how they were super busy and for me to call their office or whatever.
