I can't understand how anyone who has used this vet for their four-legged child (that is what my husband and I always refer to our dogs as) can be disappointed with them. The Vets, as well as the entire staff have always been accommodating and very professional. We have more than one dog, and we have never had a problem with any of the doctors or any of the staff. They have always been very caring, and treat our babies as family. The examination rooms as well as the waiting area and bathrooms are always very clean and well maintained. They also give a multiple pet discount. If you're not sure where to bring your pets, I would give Rancocas Vets a try. read more

Very disappointed with this vet, my little dog need it bladder stones remove, vet give a price for i agree to it, but she was not available to remove all ,she tell me to take my dog to the hospital witch it cost me extra 5500 She mention she can't no remove one of the stones because she don't have the right equipment and the knowledge to do it, bottom line she charge the whole amount in an unfinished job.. they dint have a very good communication between stuff , keep getting different calls trough the nite with different questions that was very confusing, since my dog spend the nite at hospital, i request 50% refund for the extra cost, they claim that the vet spend more time that what she was supposed to and that i got a lot if discounts , witch that is bs since is nothing to compare prices,how do i know ..they offer 200 dls as office credit for future visits.. I will never come back there again To my opinion they are very unprofessional and greedy, keep offering test that wont need it, just in case.. We were looking for a primary vet for our 2 German Shepherds as they are getting older(we always took them in PetVet just for shots) & they came highly recommended. They did not disappoint. I am surprised by some of the previous bad reviews, as I have had nothing less than stellar experiences. Dr.McGuigan and Dr.Bush have both been amazing at listening to me and answering all of my excessive amounts of questions, regardless of their busy schedules. The receptionist have all been pleasant. I have been checked in and out a majority of times by I believe ber name is Bonnie, and she has always been very friendly. The only time I have had any issue was when I was accidentally overcharged for a different bloodwork panel than the one I was anticipating, which was just a simple miscommunication. I went back and explained the situation and the practice manager Laura and the Doctor went above and beyond to help correct the situation. 10/10 Will keep returning, as well as referring others to this awesome practice. read more

DO NOT BRING YOUR PETS HERE!! I brought my cat in within 48 hours of him showing signs of illness. They did an x-ray, which they said showed ACUTE pneumonia and prescribed medications. He was given the medication upon getting home (vet's orders), and at 4AM he was found unresponsive. I brought him to the local emergency vet hospital and he had passed away. The emergency vet completed an ultrasound of his organs and found that it appeared to be a different or additional diagnosis because the fluid was OUTSIDE of his lungs and not inside. The vet at rancocas stated it was pneumonia and completely treatable and curable.. and here we are, my lifelong cat has passed away at only 9 years old due to negligence of rancocas vet. I am reporting the vet's license, and will not stop until they are held accountable. Especially after the extreme pricing they charge. STAY AWAY! UPDATE: They lied on the records that I requested for this same pet stating I declined certain services, which I DID NOT. The vet recommended since there was a diagnosis via x-ray that blood work should be completed in 2 weeks if my cat does not progress and stated that I declined a radioligist view of the xray which again I DID NOT, as no one made me aware that the vet does not know how to read the xray or that they have a radioligst. This place is a JOKE and a SCAM!! To add to all of this, the vet ADMITTED via the business's recorded line that after "further review" of the x-rays, there was a different or another diagnosis. I decided to take my dog to this different vet, since it's closer to my home. She was due for her annual check up, so this seemed like a good time. The floor is dark and hides the dirt, but it was filthy. It could use a good sweeping and mopping to clean up all the hair and whatever else was on it. My dog was out of her heart-worm and flea/tick prevention medications, but unfortunately this vet doesn't carry the types we get normally. I was told it wasn't a problem by Dr. W and prescriptions could be written for those medications and that I could buy them online. After I ordered the medications online, but was told by the online retailer that a veterinary authorization by fax or phone call was required. Otherwise, I'd need to send my prescriptions by snail mail, which would likely be later than when we needed them. This veterinary office has a strict policy of not contacting online pharmacies. I was told that there are NO exceptions! I was hoping a ONE time exception could be made, since I didn't know and my dog was going to be late getting her required medications if I was forced to resort to snail mail. I talked to Dr. E on the phone, but never met him. He claims that his veterinary practice could "be on the hook" for a wrong medication being sent, wrong dosage or even a counterfeit medication. Really? Please! That possibility exists regardless of whether a phone call is made or received. I could still receive counterfeit medications or the wrong dosage etc. even by sending their official script in by snail mail, so that excuse just doesn't fly with me. In my opinion this policy has nothing to do with safety of my dog or anyone else's pet. The prescription is handled and processed the same, no matter if a phone call is made or not. Everything is being done online today and this vet needs to get with the times. All that is required of them is a phone call or fax verification. The real reason in my opinion is the same reason their floor is dirty.... Laziness. When I get told crap, I lose respect for a person regardless of their title like "doctor." Also, a clean veterinary office is a must. Consequently, this veterinary office is losing my business. My little puppy girl deserves better and so do the rest of the pet parents reading this. I believe anyone who thinks my dog not getting her prescribed medication is funny needs psychological help. In my opinion, that is a mental disorder. I noticed the doctor responded to another yelp review recently and skipped over mine. I believe he isn't responding because he can't deny our conversation. I did not purchase the medication through his office. I originally thought he was just being lazy. However, greed is also a possibility for him not cooperating, but I don't know for sure. The prescription written by his office remains the same whether a phone call verification is made or not. The prescription also remains the same whether I had purchased it though his office or bought it from an online pharmacy Since he hasn't replied to this review, you'll need to come to you own conclusion. read more

I came here with a very ill stray I found hoping to get her treatment, but turns out there was likely odds she had rabies, and her condition was so awful that after two hours of patient debate with the veterinarian, I opted for her to pass peacefully. But, the two stars is not for the compassion from the vet who was a wonderful woman, it was for the associates to the vet that made the painful experience worse. The ones in the room with us were emotionally unshaded, it didn't worsen the situation but made it more uncomfortable. It was the front desk woman that made it so much worse. I came out with red puffy eyes and wet cheeks from crying, and with a plucky uncaring happy tune she informed me of the final cost "today", like there'd be another day I'd come in with now said dead cat. I didn't respond to her cheery smile as I was still emotionally in great pain. I handed her more than I owed, I didn't want change for what I just paid to do. And as I silently left, I heard the same cheerful tune come from her as she said "have a nice day!" I've never met a person that could be so emotionally deaf that they use such cheerful customer service to a person in emotional pain. The vet offered her condolences and awareness to how difficult this was with solemn respect, the front desk worker offered me a "nice day!" And a beaming smile as if I just got done getting my new kitten her first shots. I understand if emotional people make someone uncomfortable, but don't work in a spot where you're going to handle it. read more

I was looking for a new vet as mine recently lost the vets who were familiar with my cats, so I figured I'd try one closer to home. I made an appointment here and can't be happier with them! They were able to squeeze me in on a Saturday morning as one of my cats was presenting symptoms of a urinary infection (which can get serious pretty quickly if not treated). The receptionists, technician and veterinarian were all very professional and caring with my "scaredy cat." I was particularly impressed with how concerned the doctor was about avoiding unnecessary stress for him. Although they seemed quite busy, she took time with him and seemed genuinely interested in making sure he gets well. I am so happy I found a great new place to care for my fur babies! read more

This place is hands down the best vet office i have ever been to, and I have been to ALOT. They are so compassionate with your animals, they care about you, they are extremely professional, they get right back to you if they have to call back. My kitty has been through hell this week and they had to Pick up the mess that little egg vet left behind and this place is doing an AMAZING job. I'am posting this review based from my experience and how I was treated. This was my first and last time at R.V.A. as the result from some of the employees lack of respect and professionalism. I was here approximately for 15 minutes. My appointment was scheduled for 3 p.m, October 17, 2018 for a wellness exam for my dog. I arrived 10 mins early. Assuming that I may need her medical history before I arrived, I brought my iPad with the information on it just in case it was needed. I was asked if I had any medical paperwork when I walked in. I said "No, I do not. I have it on my iPad". I was asked if I could email it then. I said, "I can try". I was thinking why wasn't I made aware I would need actual paperwork before I arrived. I could have printed the information from home or asked for official copies to be faxed. A woman walked me to the exam room, next to the reception area. She never introduced herself to me. I'm trying to connect to the internet. I asked if she knew the wifi password she did not. Whoever I spoke to when I scheduled the appointment should have known to explain what was required for a first time appointment and informed me of that. My dog has been having episodes of continuous gulping, licking and has a hiatal hernia. I explained some of the situation to the woman. I showed her a few videos and gave her the name of medication my dog had been given from my current vet. I was going to explain more details to the vet. I wanted to see if my dog was experiencing something such as acid reflux. That is why I asked for a second opinion. I never had the opportunity to speak to the vet about my concerns because of what occurred next. The woman walks out of the exam room and a few seconds later the staff and this woman are behaving in the uttermost unprofessional, and inexcusable behavior. I have never experienced such blatant disrespect in a place of business. Five minutes of being in the exam room, these women were having a conversation that should not have been tolerated while on the job. I heard every rude thing that was said to each other. They were loud enough for me to hear. A lot was being said, laughing about what I said to her, stating my dog only had a cough... The woman from the exam room is not a vet to say it was just a cough. Anyone with common sense can see in the videos it was not a cough. Finally, the vet came in the exam room with the same woman from earlier. The vet and I greeted each other and I informed them I was leaving. I explained that I heard the conversation, the laughing about me and my dog's health. I also explained that my dog had vomited blood and I would find somewhere else to go. After that, the vet said my dog was cute, the woman looked shocked. Yes, I heard every rude comment! She didn't say anything, of course she can only speak behind my back. Anyway, I walked out and that was my horrible experience here. Over 24 hrs later I have not received a phone call, text message from someone offering an apology. I believe if the vet or other employees truly cared about my experience as a customer who is clearly dissatisfied from THEIR WRONGDOING. I would have been contacted today. I'm not interested in receiving an unauthentic response back. I know my business is not appreciated here or am I and my dog welcome here. I would have paid any amount of money for my dogs treatment. I will spare no expense for her well being. I will gladly spend my money elsewhere. read more

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Katie Porter. One awful day in June my beloved pygmy goat was severely injured. We called rancocas vets and got Dr. Porter. Without hesitation she said bring him in immediately. She showed sincere concern and compassion to not only my baby but to us as well. Dr. Poter followed up on Bandit on a daily basis until we felt he was out of the woods. Little to our surprise Bandit slid backwards with his health but Dr. Porter never once stopped caring or trying to help. Unfortunately after almost 2 months of fighting Bandit passed away before Dr. Porter arrived but that did not stop her from showing compassion once again. I just started taking my dog here and to say it's quite an experience, would be an understatement. I called them before I brought my dog in and explained it would be difficult to get my dog in there, they were very accommodating and had the technicians come out to the parking lot to help me get her in. The vet and technicians have been excellent every single time with calming my dog down and getting everything done. They are always prompt with call backs and results. Took my puppy here. She had her first set of puppy shots and needed her second and third set. Set up the second set and went in to get them. Second time around was for her third set of shots which my husband took her. When at home I looked at the paperwork expecting to see the rabies tag. It said she received her second set of shots. This meant the vet did Not give her the correct set of shots. I was so upset. Within days my dog had a urinary tract infection (UTI), so I went there to get her seen. I took the opportunity to ask why they didn't give her the third set of shots. They gave me nothing but excuses. Point being they made a mistake. I paid over $100 to get her urine analyzed whether she had a UTI or not (after they made me feel like I was a horrible ignorant person for letting my dog get a UTI). Weeks passed and they never contacted me for the results even though I had paid over $100 for the test. I decided to use a different vet. Seeking to get my pups third set of puppy shots I went to another vet and they requested my dogs history from this vet. This vet had the nerve to provide them with false records saying they had provided them with all three set of puppy shots. No record of ever having a UTI. I'm glad we left this vet. It's untrustworthy. On another note. Whenever I asked a direct question to the main woman vet she would turn her back on me and just look and speak to my husband. She pretty much acted like I was not there. Very unprofessional. read more

We took our 9 year old Lab to Dr. Edson after years of decline and ineffectiveness from our previous vet. Within two weeks, I now have my old dog back! Unbelievable! I would never take my pet anywhere else, and would definately recommend him to everyone! He took the time to listen to what we had to say, and did a complete assessment to get the diagnosis right the first time. He even took the time to explain everything to us in detail.
