Food- 4/5 Overall experience- 5/5…read more It was a fun spot to stop at to break up our drive back to Boston. The lot was small but many people were coming in and out so we didn't have to wait long to get a parking spot or outdoor seating. There are two shops: the deli and market with different vibes and items inside. The market is a quick shop with some snacks, drinks, coffee, and knickknacks. The deli is where the hot/cooked foods are at with some other specialty foods. The food was overall ok, nothing noteworthy. The main attraction is their Mac and cheese that had been circulating my IG feed. Don't think it's life changing but the shops have curated selections of local goods that are reasonable priced to get some last minute treats. Pass on the general tso(?) and the potstickers in my opinion unless you're really craving it. The desserts looked amazing and would definitely get one next time

We were able to get a spot in front with no issue, but I imagine that this was because it was a week day. We chose the Mac and cheese and the maple pulled pork. Both were worth the hype in my opinion. The mac and cheese was super creamy and paired well with the tender pulled pork. The baked goods were nothing to write home about. Maybe we just chose the wrong items? We tried: Oatmeal cookie - good, but not amazing. Chocolate chunk/ peanut butter cookie - stale as heck and basically inedible. I always am leery of saran wrapped cookies that are out on display because its impossible to know if there are actually fresh. The giant stacks of cookies were too enticing to pass up on. The chocolate cookie we purchased was definitely not fresh at all. $3.29 down the tubes - lesson on saran wrapped cookies learned (again). Carrot cake whoopie pie and original whoopie pie - both tasty, but the cake was too thick for my personal liking. We sat in the small outdoor seating area to eat. This was a nice little reprieve from the car ride.

This store changed my perception of grocery shopping. Getting groceries used to result in a long…read moreslog through numerous isles while passing a large percentage of things I don't need. Aldi isn't like that; it's compact, easy to navigate and has pretty much everything you need. A little bit about Aldi first... It's a German owned company. They also own Trader Joe's. Think of Aldi like a Trader Joe's, but a bit more bare bones. Their business model to run lean: They don't have people collecting carts, they don't provide you with disposable bags, they don't sell a lot of name brand stuff, their stores tend to be on the smaller side, the shelves are usually stacked boxes and they only sell the most frequently bought items at your typical grocery store. There's no deli counter, butcher or seafood counter; everything is prepacked. Just about everything in this store is a "house" brand. But let's face it, it's all made by the bigger companies; just labeled differently. Everything I've tried in this store tastes exactly like the name brand. The boxes/packages even look similar in most cases. You save a ton of money buying the off brands; we've cut our grocery bill in half after shopping here for about 4 months. Before you go: Bring reusable bags Be ready to bag your own groceries after checkout Bring cash or a debit card; no credit cards (Credit cards charge a fee at the terminal) Bring a quarter so you can use a shopping cart (It's refunded when you return it) One of the nice things about this store is it's very easy to get around. It's laid out so you can move around quickly while getting what you need. At most, I've seen maybe three employees working here. They've all been friendly and helpful. Even with a few people ahead of us, checking out has been efficient. You unload your cart, they scan everything, reload it and then you head over the bagging area and pack it up. If I could nitpick one thing: The hours. They don't open until 10AM on Sunday. I'm sure they did their homework and found the peak hours of shopping. However, if you want to get out early and get your shopping done, you'll have to wait. Overall, this is a great store. It makes shopping easy, fast and you're going to save quite a bit over the other establishments.

The low prices are clearly coming at the cost of literally everything else about this place.read more
