This is the second time this lady has been rude to my parents and I. We were here since 10:30am waiting in line, when our number was called, we arrived at our station a minute later. I told her that my mom was in the restroom and that I was waiting for her to come out, that's why we took a minute to come to the station. She then proceeds to yell at us and say that we missed our call and we had to get back in line. She was very rude about it, this is the second time she's had a nasty attitude towards my mom and I. The other time I came with my mom she accused me of helping her with the sign test which is a lie, I was only translating since my mom doesn't speak English. I had also asked her if there was anyone that spoke Spanish for the road test and she rudely said that my mom would have to learn some English so she can understand the instructor. When it was time for my mom to take the 25 question test, I asked her if they were hiring for anyone who's bilingual, she then tells me to go sit down and ignores my question. At this point I think it's a racism issue and at her grown age she needs to understand that not everyone speaks English. I've never had this issue with any of the other workers.

People are kept waiting in line outside, in the cold, after the office opens.

It's almost impossible to book an appointment. Walk-ins are accepted after 12pm, but you can't get a number if you arrive at 1pm. People arrive at 6:30am to try their luck, and are kept waiting outside. There aren't enough employees, even thought the ones working there are actually very helpful.

Truly enjoyed my overall experience with this DMV location and specifically the DMV expert who assisted me throughout named Wilson. I needed to get my NC license again after moving to PA a few years ago for work which the pandemic brought me back home to NC since my company is working remotely. Am in the process of converting everything back to NC which can be a pain but Wilson made this part such a seamless and honestly enjoyable experience due to his knowledge, friendliness and fun humor while obtaining my new NC license and even took care of my voter registration (plus let me preview my photo to make sure I liked it ha!). I do appreciate that NC DMV requires you to schedule an appointment online in order to be seen versus showing up and waiting for an hour plus in a line. I showed up 15 min before my appt like they recommended and was seen right on time. Even though there were others that got there at the same time as me with appts too, I was still seen before them since my appt was scheduled earlier. Only caveat was you have to book out to find an appointment at least 30 days in advance so make sure to plan accordingly and don't wait last minute. Easy to find right past HWY 29 and off E. Market street with plenty of parking in its own lot. If you're scheduling online, I highly encourage you to select this location - seems they have more availability anyways and make sure to ask for Wilson if you can! He was AWESOME!! Thanks, Wilson & NC DMV for making this such a positive and easy experience moving back home!

I was impressed with the ease of getting my license renewed today. Granted, my wait was about 45 minutes, but the waiting area was nice. I didn't feel like I was squished together with fellow Greensboro citizens like sardines, which is a big change from years past at the DMV location on Silas Creek Pkwy in Winston-Salem. I worked with Wilson today, who was friendly & had some fun music playing (Prince, Jackson 5) at his station. He kept things moving & I was on my way after approximately 15 minutes at his desk. I paid $40 for the temporary license renewal & will have my new one in about 2 weeks. Overall, not a bad DMV experience.

Driving inspector was terrible, biased and un compassionate. Very passive aggressive. Also it's impossible to get appointments.

I recently moved back to NC from out of state and had to get my license switched over, plus get changed to a real ID. I went online and made sure I had all my ducks in a row document-wise (the information is readily available, btw). As some have also said, an appointment was impossible to get but thankfully they reserve afternoons for walk-ins only. Going in at approximately 3pm on a Wednesday proved to be just the thing, as there was only 1 person ahead of me to check in. I worked with examiner Anderson who was very pleasant and, prior to checking me in, asked why I was there and made sure I had everything I needed. This was greatly appreciated as it may keep folks who come unprepared from wasting too much time, particularly if they're busy. I was given a number and sat down for all of 5 minutes before being called and it was, once again, examiner Anderson helping me! She went through everything, answered my questions, we had a couple laughs, and I walked out of the office downright pleased with the process. Contrary to the stereotype, this was fast, pleasant, and everyone working there seemed very collegial with one another. Great experience!

The supervisor with the red and black braids is super rude. Can't even ask a question without her getting upset and answering with a loud tone. Also there's no signage outside indicating where the line starts. Just an imaginary line that the "supervisor " made. NOT DMV made! Where the number to the district manager?? She needs to be removed, fired, or transferred.

I checked in with a friendly woman just inside the entrance at 7:40, sat down, and was called at 8:01. Another friendly woman greeted me and began with the basic questions and also answered a couple of my questions. She had to help a colleague twice but was quickly back to me. She offered to take my picture a second time when i was disappointed with the first one. (Smiling made me look less old!) I had to provide several signatures, received a temporary license (good for a month until the new one arrived.), paid with my credit card, and walked out at 8:19. Although i saw in two places online that this and other DMV offices did not have public restrooms this one certainly does now. I cannot report on its size etc. as i visited before my appointment the MacDonalds across the street. Finally -- i was frustrated by the online appointment system which had no appointments available when i began looking for one. It took me a day and a half of clicking frequently between my chores etc. to find one -- i assume people cancel and a place opens up. I calculated how far i could drive and what times i could take based on distance. I live in Chapel Hill and have family in Greensboro, but none east of me so figured i could not go east much further than Durham while i could go further west. I waited until two weeks before my birthday to start my random clicking routine which i regret and am marking my calendar to start my next renewal search as soon as the postcard reminder comes from the DMV! though i am sure we all hope this problem will be behind us before then!
