BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!! Todd and Tim have retired…read more...... Tucker Plumbing was sold to Dave Sego I believe fairly recently and their service is now horrible! They tried to take advantage of my elderly mother who used Tucker Plumbing for 40+ years. She recently moved and had some drainage issues and needed a new water heater and water softener installed. They showed up to install it and shortly after stated they had to leave because a "contract client" had an emergency. I believe it was a nursing home. But clearly their priority is the "contract client" and not residential. He left and said he would not be long but did not call again until 5pm and said he would be back the next day. They did not return until Monday. Monday comes; the installer (owners' son) installed the heater and softener. Apparently, the company doesn't come prepared for any issues that may arise and take it upon themselves to use things in the house without permission. He used an unopened extension cord and adapter that were still in the package and completely across the room from where he was working. He completes said job and leaves. My brother and his friend had been replacing all the piping in the house because it was done incorrectly but had not had time to finish it all. There were copper pipes and fittings left in the basement for future use. However, when he went to get the pipes and fittings they were gone. The only people in the basement other than family had been the owner's son from Tucker Plumbing. My mother called Tucker Plumbing, and they stated they have it and that his son had "mistakenly" picked it up and brought it back to the shop. They couldn't figure out who's it was because they don't use that type. WHAT?!?! IS THIS COMMON PRACTICE? WHO PICKS THINGS UP THAT THEY DON'T BRING INTO A HOUSE???? The owner stated he would bring it to my mom's within the week. NO SHOW!!! not surprised to be honest. People who are shady often lie to cover up their mistakes. She had called a few times and no answer or call back. Yesterday had marked a week and a half so I told her to call them and let them know they have until the end of the week to bring it back or we will file theft charges. She made contact and he told her he would bring her $150 for the piping. Hmm, where did the original piping and fittings go that you stated you had and would bring back??? I am not convinced that charges still shouldn't be filed. PEOPLE NEED TO BE AWARE OF THE SHADY PRACTICE THIS BUSINESS HAS TURNED INTO!!

I thought that the part cost was a little high so later in the day I went on line to see what I could get that same part for and the online store listed it for $7.95. Wow! Buyer beware. After looking in to the reviews of several HVAC contractors, I find that they all jack up the prices for parts they replace. $200 - $450 for an $8 part. $500 or more for a $65 motor. Any parts they put in are easily bought locally or online for pennies on the dollar for what they charge you.

I had a washer hook-up put in by this company for an estimate of $2500. I had to call back because…read moreone of the connections leaked and I had a sewer smell coming into the room. The connection leak was caused by the connection not being tightened correctly. The sewer smell was because when they put the pipes together, they didn't put the rubber sleave on correctly (the compression sleave was bent) and it had a small gap where the smell came from. But the worse part of this install was they added $1200 to my final bill because it took them 6 hours (2 guys, three hours) to put a vent pipe through the roof. I thought the vent pipe would have been part of the estimate, but they added it in after the job was done. And it took more time than it should have, and I know this because I vented my dryer out the roof and it only took me an hour from start to finish. In my opinion the employees have no idea what they are doing. I will never hire them again.
