I expected a bit of a wait since I didn't have an appt. Fortunately, they weren't too busy. It's a private/cozy shop. Parking lot is small, but I feel if you go early enough it shouldn't be an issue. There's curbside parking too. Shampoo and hair cut was great, quick and efficient for the length cut. I showed Carmen some reference photos off Pinterest and I loved the length, layers and overall freshness and weight off my head. She's great to talk with as well, probably about almost anything imo. So, i visited a salon called Wally's on Otay Lakes road in the plaza with Dominos and 7/11. A lady named Renee cut my hair....but did NOT do what I asked. I was so upset. I was referred to Charlie at Shampoo's to get my haircut fixed. She did a FABULOUS job with my hair and I was so happy I tipped her $10, on top of the $65 she charged for the cut. It was well worth it, in my opinion. Where Renee at the other salon couldn't cut a simple angled bob, Charlie fixed her "work" and did a hell of a job. She is from Chicago and used to own her own shop so you know she means business. I've referred friend after friend and I just had to leave a positive remark about her on here. Charlie is wonderful. I will have her cut my hair again this month. I'm so looking forward to it.

The location itself is a quaint little spot with different businesses all in one building and it has a nice waiting area. Parking is limited but there is plenty of street parking since the building sits on a corner. I highly recommend Brenda for your updos. Her price was fair ($115) for the updo that my daughter was requesting. I believe she also offers makeup, lashes and waxing services (which I hope to check out in the near future).
