There are still irresponsible dog owners and dogs that I don't believe have the temperament to be in a dog park. I also don't think the park itself is that great. It's just a fenced in area of mulch... no grass and only one enrichment toy (a plastic tunnel). I've also had an issue with the key fob not working, despite being told that it's active. It's OK. It's an OK park. Your experience will depend greatly on the weather (when it rains, it's a mess) and who happens to be inside when you get there. As with all dog parks, keep your wits about you.

There is a small intro lesson is given and pointers while you ride. It's a great way to get on the track before it opens to the public and build up some confidents on the track. I've been to 4 of these events so far and the staff is fabulous. The people who come are always super friendly it's a really outstanding event. The Philly Pumptrack itself is free to the public and open seasonally weather permitting. They use to also provided bikes to rent but due to some theft issues that is on hold at the moment so you would currently need your own bike if you plan to visit.
