rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was unacceptable.
The service at Margarittaville-Navy Pier was extremely slow, several menu items were unavailable, and the food that did arrive was cold and poorly prepared. I was hosting family from out of town and felt genuinely embarrassed by the entire experience.
We brought these concerns to the manager, and while $30 was taken off a bill that exceeded $200, it did not reflect the severity of the situation.
What is even more disappointing is the complete lack of follow-up. Margarita initially emailed me instructing me to report the issue to a different address, which I did promptly. I received a response on July 15, 2026, and then nothing. The company did no updates, no resolution, no accountability for over two weeks.
At this point, the response feels performative rather than genuine. Leaving a public comment or sending an email suggesting concern means very little when there is no actual follow-through. It creates the impression that the goal is to appear responsive rather than to resolve customer issues.
I gave this company ample time to address the situation, and the lack of action speaks for itself. The initial email response under my review gave me hope, but that was quickly replaced with disappointment when nothing was done.
This experience--from the visit itself to the failed follow-up--has been handled poorly. Margaritaville has made no meaningful effort to rectify the situation, and based on that, I will not be returning. I urge the person reading this review to take the same stand. You can spend your dollar where you're appreciated, respected, and be served great food. Margaritaville at Navy Pier has missed the mark. read more
