We stayed at the Navy Lodge for a long time during a stressful transition, and overall the staff truly made a big difference for our family. Everyone was consistently kind, welcoming, and helpful, with a few employees who especially stood out. Callie, one of the housekeepers, was absolutely wonderful. You could always tell when she had cleaned our room because everything felt extra fresh and well-cared for. My husband even commented on how nicely the beds were made and how much better the room felt afterward. Those small details really mattered during a long stay away from home. Aaron at the pool was always friendly and helpful with towels and anything guests needed, and another employee, Fred, regularly greeted everyone with a humble and positive attitude that made the environment feel welcoming. You could see the staff worked hard, and despite how busy things probably get, they were always kind to guests. I had heard such good things about this lodging and yet, the amount of mosquitos in my room was unbearable. Had to buy bug spray and was constantly spraying it. The bugs were not only in my room but in the hallways too. On vacation I should not have to worry about being bit my mosquitos in my own room. read more

PCSD here and needed a place for myself, my wife, and my dog and this place is a dream! Dog park is a 2 minute walk away, workers here are the nicest hotel workers I've ever encountered. Can't thing of one bad thing. Centrally located so you can drive 30 mins each direction to try out different beaches and food spots. Takes me 25 mins to drive to Schofield and I don't even care. Very reasonable priced and housekeeping is not stingy with their towels! Parking is right next to my room and their little Shop has everything you need to survive. I would recommend this place to anybody that's looking for a family friendly (pet friendly) place to wait out a few weeks (months) until they find a home. read more

I grew up on the island and normally stay at the Navy Lodge for convenience. Well, I came home for a family funeral in September and I was already stressed out. My main beef with this hotel is that they charged us at random times without explanation, even after we checked out.. my husband had to call days after we checked out and ask them to delete our card number and info. Very frustrating. The elevator has also been broken for over a year. Not sure what someone in a wheelchair is supposed to do? It was annoying enough to carry my bike down several flights of stairs.. I noticed that if something breaks there it tends to just not get fixed. Your devices will not stay connected to the internet. Every time you put your phone down and open it up again you when to reconnect. Signal wasn't strong enough to use a laptop, which was annoying. The room was clean and spacious. It was nice to have the kitchenette area and a small dining room table. Every worker we encountered was lovely. The housekeeping staff and front desk people are all super nice. read more

You stay here because you are required to, not because you want to. Convenient to JBPH and parking is free. That's about it on the perks. There is a small convenience store/mini NEX in the lobby. That is nice. Internet is AWEFUL so if you work from home or your kids do virtual school it will not work. And 4G signal is weak so forget about hot spots. Rooms were sort of clean. If you have kids and are thinking about this hotel... don't. Save yourself the frustration IF you have kids. It's honestly a shame because this property is gorgeous. 1. The elevator is broken. They know it. They will tell you someone is coming to fix it and it will continue to be broken the next day. Its insanity. It's been broken for over a month. Possibly longer according to a neighbor on our floor that has been there over a month and said they were told it's been broken forever when THEY arrived. The front desk and staff knew this, and still put us on the third floor with a 10 month old baby who can't walk. Never said one word about any possibility of it not working, possible endangerment, etc. when we booked but had zero problem swiping our credit card. So if you like carrying your stroller up and down three flights of stairs to get to and from anywhere. This is the hotel for you. Thank goodness we never tripped and our child wasn't seriously hurt. 2. They called to confirm our check out the next morning at almost 8pm by calling our room. Our baby who was fast asleep at 7pm and took 30 min to get comfortable and put down was woken up by this. I have never been to any hotel where this happens at 8pm. I had half a mind to call them back and tell them to come up here and rock our child back to sleep. 3. We had our dog with us and the room they put us in reeked of pet urine. The smell was so overpowering I would gag every time we came back in. I had to go out and buy febreeze to get through the weekend. There are other pet friendly hotels on the island. I would seriously consider it. 4. Pool was also closed today because a guests child decided to poop in the pool and they needed to shock it. This place is a prison Upon checking in we were told " you can't come back to the lobby, you can't shop at the lobby store, you can't receive any room service or complimentary breakfast, you can't walk your dog together, you can't walk towards the front of the building, you can't get your room cleaned- we will take the garbage, and replace towels or room necessities" front desk staff needs to be retrained on customer service and verbal communication I understand keeping us all safe but this is EXTRA Service staff is good about replacing and stocking kitchenette supplies, removing trash from outside the door, and replacing fresh towels. Stayed here during our weekend getaway while using the Space A from North Island and we are delighted with the place. Very quiet, rooms are clean with very comfy linen and full kitchen which is so convenient. We were able to cooked our own dinner and relaxed at the lanai with our favorite wine. Woke up in the morning and we ran the scenic Ford Island 4 miles perimeter route which begins and end at the Navy Lodge. The lodge serve continental breakfast every morning which even made it worthwhile. Kudos to the outstanding staff Luz, Maya, Mark, and Crisabel who always welcomes you with an open smile and ready answer and assist your needs. We are definitely coming back here on our next weekend getaway again! read more

I have stayed at multiple Navy Lodges and this one is my absolute favorite so far! A beautiful place to stay on Oahu. Service is great. The hotel smells fresh and upon inspection of bedding, kitchenette and bathroom looked clean. The kitchenette has a full size fridge, microwave, electronic stove, coffee maker and toaster. Pots and pans, china and silverware also provided. They offer a complimentary breakfast which is pretty good for free. They offer boiled eggs, waffles ( you make fresh in a waffle maker), cereal, fresh fruit, oatmeal, pastries and toast/bagels you can toast. Beverages include coffee, orange juice and water. Now for the view, enjoy your breakfast in the beautiful courtyard or on the veranda overlooking Pearl Harbor! There is a pool on site. The gym is off site that requires you to drive. read more

It's a very nice hotel with big rooms and plenty of amenities. The good: The kitchen is small but has a full fridge, 2 burner stove, microwave and sink. The bathroom is a good size, the sink has plenty of counter space. The toilet and shower are in a separate area. The staff is nice and very helpful. There is a mini mart open 23.5 hours a day which a decent selection. You can rent movies every day from the front desk. It is a pet friendly hotel and there is a dog park right across the street. Pet fee is $100 a week I think, but the rate varies greatly by time. The not quite as good: The pool is always warm and people tend to leave toys behind when they check out which you can use. All the scenery and flowers are nice but tend to make the pool dirty. I scooped it out with the pool skimmer myself a few times when it got bad. The bad: The TV is dish and tends to cut out A LOT. It gets quite annoying at times but is crystal clear during commercials of course. The continental breakfast is oatmeal, hard boiled eggs, cereal and assorted danish's/bagels. It's the same everyday which gets boring really fast. Over all I enjoyed my stay. The Navy covered the lodging cost but I would pay $100 a night here easily. read more

I walked into the building at 240pm and was immediately told my room was not ready as soon as i walked in by a lady wearing a manager tag. No "hi, how can i help you?" Or anything. I replied with "okay... when will it be ready?" the reply the front staff gave me was "check in is at 1500." With an snide facial expression. Pros: no issues with parking, room is clean, temperature in my room was great, kitchenette had pots to cook, coffee pot in the room, DVD player in room, quiet hotel, pet friendly Cons: early check in was not an option (which appears to be a consistent issue) so had to wait until 1500, internet is at times very spotty/ slow, tv is fuzzy, no layout chairs at the pool, breakfast consists of two waffle makers, yogurt, cereal, boiled eggs and oranges.. Seems like a decent option if you're PCSing and don't want to pay extra out of pocket or with a family. read more

The sheets were stained and the bath mat had hair on it that wasn't from my family so we didn't use it our first night there. We are staying here on PCS orders and I don't really have very many negative things to say. Location is beautiful. I'm not sure about every other room but our room had a beautiful view. The landscaping is FLAWLESS. You can tell they take very good car of the property. We have the room with 2 queens with the small kitchenette. Beds are much more comfortable than the 4 different ones we've slept on on journey to the islands. We have a smaller full size fridge with a 2-burner stovetop & microwave. They provide the basic kitchen essentials like some pots and pans, utensils, cups, dish soap, coffee pot, etc. Only real complaint as far as the room goes is the tv is quite small for how big the room is, but we only really use it at night anyways. Nothing much to say about the bathroom, it's your typical hotel bathroom. Nice vanity and love the closet space for extra storage. Housekeeping has been amazing, we love them! They come everyday (if you have a pet they are required to come everyday but if not you can skip one day only-probably to ensure during long stays that the room is intact) but we've had the same housekeeper since we've been here and love her. She quickly just tidies up and changes our sheets every few days. The staff is 10/10 !!! I have not met one rude person here! So friendly and polite! Always wanting to help and make you more comfortable. Breakfast her is just......meh. Not bad. Typical free hotel breakfast. I would've love to see more fresh local fruit, besides apples and oranges. But we have waffles every morning so it's almost a close trade. The pool looks beautiful but we've been too busy exploring the island to get a chance to use it. Looks like a great place to entertain your children. Only open till 7pm I believe, which is kind of a bummer. Wifi is decent most of the time, but don't plan on doing much streaming. Pets- okay so we are staying her with our one pet.They don't allow you to have them on any furniture (TOTALLY get it, but it's so annoying chasing my dog around to get off the bed lol) another annoying thing, we are at one end of the hotel and have to walk to the complete opposite side to let her go potty. (Again I TOTALLY get it, but if you could make maybe more than one area that'd be awesome! Lol after spending all day adventuring, the last thing you wanna do is walk to the other side of the property. ) pet fee is a basic one time fee - $100 if staying 7+ days which isn't bad compared to other hotels charging like $20 a day. UPDATE! save yourself the hassle and don't do laundry here. And if you risk it, expect when one of their machines breaks and leaves your clothes SOAKED in water for the service tech number to not be answered and the people in the lobby to have absolutely no clue what to do but say "oh, well I suggest you wash them at the other laundromat" Laundry room is okay, $1.25 for wash $1.00 for apparently 45 mins of dryer. But we had to run our load twice and it still was pretty damp, but we were out of quarters and their machine refused to take our dollar. They also have a little mini mart with a bunch of snacks, alcohol, and random household items you may need to restock on. Of course they will be a little more expensive because you are paying for the convenience of not having to drive to the NEX. And they also have dvds that you can check out, but since we haven't really been interested we don't know what they have to offer. read more

This is an excellent place to stay, especially with family or like me, with crazy kids. This was our second time staying here and both times were awesome. Here are the reasons why: 1. Kid and pet friendly - there is a playground right downstairs that the kids could use to burn energy. It is shady and you get a good view of the water. Rooms are also fairly sound proof so your kids could yell and you can't really hear your neighbors' crazy kids either 2. Pool!! - yes, you are close to the beach, but sometimes it is just refreshing to take a dip in the pool. There are lots of places to sit and this is a popular spot in the evenings for families 3. Kitchenette and living room - most people staying here are military families in transition between duty stations. These amenities are especially helpful to save money and give the family some space while living in a hotel. If you are on vacay, you can cook yourself meals to save some money 4. FREE breakfast - this is my favorite part. The food buffet is continental but has fresh tropical fruits that are delicious 5. Awesome staff - everyone in the hotel has the aloha spirit and are so helpful! They can act as tour advisors or give tips on the area! We have really enjoyed our times here! It is a quintessential Hawaiian secret. It is not in Waikiki, but you get a quiet and beautiful neighborhood away from the hustle and bustle of the rest of Hawaii. read more

We arrived on Island in mid-Sep. We had a 60-day reservation with the Navy Lodge. Reservation was made in April/May timeframe. The reason we went with the Navy lodge was that of the reviews we saw online/ social media. We were also trying to get a home in AMR and wanted to see what the typical trip up to Schofield was like on a daily basis. It's roughly about a 30 min drive in the a.m and the same in the afternoon. Going against traffic both ways. The Navy Exchange (NEX) is about a 10 min. drive. Everything else is not too far away. Centrally located. We arrived at the hotel after landing at HNL, and we had a terrific check-in experience. No complaints. So we've been here for a little bit over a month, and I believe it's fair to give an accurate review after a month of living here. We do have a suite with two queen beds, a separate living room area with pull-out couch and a kitchenette available, so it's easy to buy groceries and cook if you desire. Somewhat spacious. There are three of us (2 adults, one teen). Pros - Very pet-friendly- paid $225 one time fee for two small dogs, no daily or weekly fee like most other hotels. The fee depends on how long your reservation is for. - Excellent and friendly staff always there to assist - Free parking- we know others charge a daily/weekly rate - Free continental breakfast - It does get old after a couple of weeks, so on weekends now we do go out in town and eat breakfast. - On-site store - can get necessities if needed - Dog Park - It's huge - Afternoon socials- about every other week. Food is available in the lobby area, and you can mingle with others - Close to food/shopping - Good running/walking routes - It's very quiet and peaceful - Spacious pool that will allow you to either work on your Hawaii tan or get wet... - Laundry facilities in place - $1.25 to wash and $1 to dry. There is a change machine located in the area. - Convenient ATM in the lobby - DVD player is available in rooms. They have DVDs that can be signed out at the front desk. There is also a Redbox kiosk about 1.5 miles away by the shopette. - Subway is also near the hotel - Large dressers in rooms- convenient to store clothing and not live out of a bag. - Beautiful area by the water - Hotel is kept very clean at all times - House-keeping comes every day. We switch out towels every couple of days and have them do a full cleaning once a week. We try and keep the room clean as much as we can ourselves. Cons - No gym in the hotel- but there is a 24 hr gym about 1.5 miles away. It's enormous with a separate cardio room, free weights, and machines. - No business center - necessary when you first arrive and you have to print stuff on a daily basis. Front desk did assist with me emailing them, and they would print out. Nearest library is at JBPHH (10 min away) - WiFi (Internet Connection)- It's pretty bad, and there is no wired connection (at least in my room) AT&T coverage is terrible in the hotel area, so WiFi is vital. I'm taking college courses, and it's frustrating when you can't connect to the internet and have a good/working link without worrying if it's going to stop working in the middle of something. - Dog Park- like stated above it's very big. The issue is that it's supposed to be sectioned off by Big/Small dogs. The gate in between the two is ripped off. This is an issue for us because our small dogs do not play well with big dogs. Most of the time, that's all that's in there, so if we wanted to take our small dogs in there, it would have to be when there is nobody there which is a guessing game. There is also nowhere to throw away the dog feces. So most people dump their bags on the ground by the front gate. The area smells bad. If I were king for a day at the Navy Lodge, I would fix the gates at the park, place dog poop trash cans in the area and fix the unreliable internet connectivity. Overall, great experience so far. Would recommend any day. Especially with the stories I hear at work from others staying at other locations. We have about another 25 days here unless we get a home soon and looking forward to the remainder of our stay. read more

My family and I have been here just over two weeks. We PCS'd from FL and currently waiting on housing. By far, this has been the nicest Navy Lodge we have been to. From the staff to the housekeeping, everyone is extremely helpful & pleasant. They understand that it's frustrating enough waiting a long period of time for housing and try to accommodate you as best as they can. The have a pool, free breakfast, free movie rentals, mini store, great dog park, and more! Who knows how long we'll be here but at least we're staying somewhere enjoyable. read more

We stayed here while PCS'ing from Connecticut to Hawaii, which in its own right was quite a whiplash. We had no issues scheduling our stay, and had an easy time getting our 8 pieces of luggage to our room. At the time we were there, they only had one queen bedrooms, which is pretty cramped for us, as I'm 6ft, and my husband is about 6'4''. We made it work though, and the room was spacious enough for all our things. Finding a house was easier than I had anticipated, and we moved out earlier than we had planned, which was no problem for the scheduling desk to alter for us. The shower in our room had immediate hot water every time we showered, the room was very clean, and the complimentary breakfast was decent with Golden Malted waffles which are my favorite. The downsides to staying there were plentiful too, especially that the room next to us had a dog that was routinely left there unattended, who barked constantly even at night, and the owners would either not answer the door or phone, or didn't care, even at 11pm on a work night. Our bed was uncomfortable and left us sore every morning, and the worst part of our stay was that their wifi was down the entire time. It's incredibly difficult to PCS in the first place, but to do so with no connectivity was maddening. For many, including us, the options to stay with the military on a move are limited, and you have to make do with what you have. For those with options, I'd recommend looking elsewhere, especially at work times getting on and off ford island, and those needing dependable connectivity. read more

My husband and I are soooo glad we chose this as our PCS quarantine location with our small dog. we were able to stay in the family sized room (2 queens, one kitchen, a decent sized bathroom). *Before arrival, bring quarters for laundry services. it's $1.25 to use a washer, $1.00 for the dryer. Housekeeping came every morning to replace towels & offer cleaning services. They were all very sweet. Ford Island is absolutely beautiful and the entire hotel property is well maintained. The WiFi isn't the best but it was working much better once 2 large families with many kids left the hotel. The Papa Johns in Target delivers if anyone wanted pizza during their stay. The Lodge was very laid back in regards to rules and we were able to go on long walks together with our pooch and explore a little bit while maintaining a safe distance from the very few people who were also out and about. There's also a small outdoor workout area with pull-up bars and big tires. I highly recommend buying resistance bands prior to arrival to get a workout in outside or inside the room. There's a small mini mart inside the lobby we were able to purchase things (food, hygiene products, etc) from whenever which was extremely convenient. The room was nice, clean and overall very very comfortable to stay in for the 14 days. We would happily stay here again. read more

The location on Ford Island is awesome. The fact that they allow pets is also awesome. It is not awesome that all of the pet rooms are on the third floor. I am pretty sure that all of the small, annoying children are also assigned to the third floor. The little thingee I signed said the pets had to be under 50 lbs which was a bit of a surprise. Our pets are nowhere near that small, and luckily no one has given us a hard time about it. Oh, and there is a dog park right next to the hotel. The service at the front desk was excellent. However, there selection of DVDs while cheap (1 dollar for one movie for a night) is pretty much the worst movies they could find at a Blockbuster Going Out of Business sale. Just sayin'... The cleaning staff came by at bizarre and random times. We tried to vacate the room for them a few times, and failed miserably those few times. Great accommodation for families! We are on week two of our month-2 month stay while we PCS. We are a family of five so we ended up with two suits. Which isn't ideal, but other hotels would have gone over or TLA allowance. Free breakfast is great, my only dislike is the cereal selection, which consists of fruit loops and coco ball (not sure of the official title). I just wish there was a healthier option for my kids! Welcome reception every Tuesday and such friendly staff. The surrounding area is centrally located and allows us to get settled in our new duty station. We also appreciate all the walking paths and being right by the playground. The pool is great as well and I love the Lobby. I spend lots of time in the lobby working and love the Hawaiian decor, music and those pocket windows that allow the breeze to come in. Kittens have a good amount of cooking gear and we have managed to make all of our meals at "home". The only other frustration, is the WiFi. I don't get much of a signal in the bedroom, and it drops a good amount of the time. read more

Stayed 03-09NOV,2019 TDY on orders The carpets in room 2303 smells like animals, all common areas too. I have a dog at home but the smell is super strong, I could clearly tell that pets are allowed to be everywhere and the cleaning crew don't deep clean rooms and space. The room service is at the most inconvenience time (3:00pm) when most are heading back to room. The breakfast is minimal but the area nice, overall the best part of the lodge is the outside area. The stay was not worth money, next time I will take my chances outside the gate. read more

I'm going to start off saying that I am shocked how nice and organized the lodge is. I am going to be staying here for about a month and I have no issue with it!! Staff is super friendly, especially the front desk. There is breakfast included and so far I have not gotten tired of it. Not to forget, this lodge is pet friendly. read more

Since i checked in here I've had a wonderful time. The weather is perfect, the staff is so helpful and I would recommend all of my military friends and family to stay here during pcs traveling when coming to visit Hawai'i. I'm definitely returning in a couple of months to do it all over again. read more

For a little over $100 a night, you can't beat it. The rooms are spacious, the kitchenette has everything you need, the continental breakfast is free, and the pool is nice & cool. There is plenty of parking. We have a 3rd floor room with 2 queen beds. I recommend this as you do not have any pet smells from the first floor & you don't have to hear anyone above you (they try to put people with pets on 1st floor). The bedding is nice & soft. The comforters are a bit dated, but they work. The AC is adjustable & it keeps the room cold! The shower/toilet area is separate from the sink area which is great for privacy when more than one person is getting ready. The vanity area also has the closet space with hangers, ironing board, iron, clothes basket. The cable is pretty basic, but its ok. The kitchenette has full size (small) fridge with freezer, two-burner electric stove, range microwave, 4 cup coffee maker, sink with towels, soap, etc. basic dishes for cooking. There is a small round table with two chairs. There is a little shopette in the lobby that is great for snacks, etc. Tips: Get 3rd floor room far from pool (you'll occasionally hear kids screaming) Breakfast is from 6-9 There is laundry facilities. Free wifi DVD player (DVDs in lobby or Redbox down past museum or at 24hr NEX minimart) What to see/do: NOAA is a great place for lunch. It is just down the road on the right (big building after housing) Pacific Aviation Museum has a decent collection of aircraft, etc. it is down the road on the left (by the orange/white tower) USS Missouri is also on Ford Island (before museum) Subway past the Aviation museum read more
