The only reason why I gave them a 4/5 star was because some of the staff was not very pleasant especially for a timeshare property. The concierge lady lied to me about my reservation in order to potentially get me to sign up for a timeshare meeting before she got off in 30 mins. Also the bellman was an older guy who told us we need to lower it down when we came back on NEW YEARS! We were not loud and literally no one was around us. Even the front desk person laughed. So other than the few staff members, everything was amazing and we'd definitely come back.

It was very difficult to get a reservation; it fills up every summer, but I was able to book 3 nights using open season booking on the HGV Max website. I wanted to see what the resort was like - I really wanted to stay at HGV Boardwalk Resort, but that is nearly impossible. My wife and I were VERY disappointed with this resort, definitely not up to Hilton standards at some of their other newer resorts. Of course, Oceanaire was a Diamond Property and is fairly run down. Pros - Excellent location, close to the center of the beachfront and entertainment. The one-bedroom we stayed in was very large, and the pools were clean (but VERY crowded in the afternoon). The adult pool was nice with a fire pit. The grounds have lots of flowers; the frontage was attractive. Our room had a nice view of the ocean and boardwalk. Cons - Our room was dated - some of the furniture and visible tears in the fabric, dining room table was very unstable. Kitchen appliances were all dirty, and all the floors were filthy; the kitchen countertops were dated, and one end of the counters was cracked and broken. The room has a very strange layout; the ocean view and balcony are in the bedroom, all of the other windows face the property next door (Boardwalk). The outdoor pools are used by both properties (Boardwalk Resort and Oceanaire), and are definitely not large enough for the number of families staying at the two resorts; extremely crowded - couldn't swim across the pool if you wanted to. There are only two elevators on the property, so in the afternoon there were always long lines to board them. To sum up our visit, my wife and I were very disappointed and will not be returning to this resort again. Hilton sales agents are still actively trying to sell points on the property, I asked one agent when Hilton was going to refurbish the rooms and upgrade the furniture, he said they had done so up to the 10th floor - we were on the 15th!

Nice quartz countertops and so nice to have washer/dryer and full kitchen when staying at the beach. It is a block from the beach so perfect location in the middle of all the restaurants and shops at the boardwalk. We typically stay at Hilton properties and decided we wanted to try a vacation rental to give us all more space for our teenage boys with the two bedrooms and two bathrooms instead of a hotel room. Such a nice end to our stay having the owners cute daughters serving breakfast when we dropped off our parking pass at the office. I would definitely recommend Anchor Realty if you are considering a rental in Virginia Beach.

Absolutely unacceptable stay -- do not book this house…read more We walked into this house and immediately regretted booking it. The cleanliness was beyond unacceptable. Dishes were supposedly clean and put away in the cabinets, but they were covered in grease, old wine, and coffee residue. The floors were absolutely disgusting, and there was grime and who-knows-what all over the walls. There were ants throughout the house, and we found cockroaches in the bathroom. The pool was completely green and clearly had not been properly maintained. There were also holes in the walls and ceiling, which made the entire property feel neglected and poorly maintained. The TVs didn't work, adding to the list of things that were not as advertised. Outside, the grill had trash and leftover food from previous guests still sitting on it. And, as if all of that wasn't bad enough, there was literally a penis drawn on one of the windows. What made the experience even worse was the complete lack of communication from the host. We reached out multiple times to report these issues and voice our concerns, and the host never responded to us. We were left completely on our own to deal with the condition of the property. This wasn't a minor issue or a case of being overly picky. The house was filthy, poorly maintained, and clearly not properly cleaned or inspected before our arrival. For what we paid to stay here, the condition of this property and the lack of response from the host were completely unacceptable. I would absolutely not recommend this property to anyone. Guests should not have to arrive at a rental in these conditions and then be completely ignored when they try to contact the host about serious cleanliness and maintenance issues.

This company stole my deposit of two months $3000 total…read more Ceiling fell in due to the Hurricane, water 2 inches in the floor and they made me stay there without offering any other place. I had no choice; I had no money to put on another place or hotel extra. No one will call you back, once they have your money that is it. That is why they want a Cashiers check, they have you at that point. If is were a Credit card, you could go through your credit card company and get you money back, this way you cannot. Lying people and cheats. DO NOT STAY AT YPB RESORTS!!!!!

We stayed at Dolphin Run for 3 nights in VA beach. While some things were out of Atkinson's control…read more(one of the elevators being out of service - and we were on the 7th floor), everything else was well within their control. We arrived to find the space matched what we needed in terms of rooms/bathrooms/square footage. Master bedroom had a small terrace - screen door was broken and torn. We had to call for maintenance because the shower in the master bathroom was clogged - making more of a bath experience than a shower. Yuck. The sink the the 2nd bathroom also required a plumbing fix. The air conditioner in the master bedroom did not work. My husband and I were stuck with a warm bedroom for our entire stay. The maintenance person said he only did plumbing. No one ever came to help with the AC. The kitchen WAS NOT fully stocked. Some dishes...but no complete set. Some pots, a couple of baking sheets. Some glasses and mugs...but some were damaged, and again, no complete set. Frustrating for a family of 5. Toilet paper and paper towel rolls were not full - so we ran out after 1.5 days and had to go purchase our own. NOTHING was "fully stocked". We've rented in a lot of beach locations and never had this experience previously. Ironically, we had to strip the beds, wash dishes, tidy the kitchen and living area, bring in the furniture from the terraces, and make everything tidy so we wouldn't be charged an additional fee. The only reason we had a good time away was because we love VA beach and we went out to eat at good restaurants. As far as Dolphin Run - the place needs updating for sure. And our particular condo unit could use some TLC. Disappointed for what we paid for 3 nights - . Will not use Atkinson again. Plus the inconvenience of having to go to their rental for check in and check out is annoying. At this point, this should all be managed virtually. Overrated and overpriced for minimal service.

When we checked in, the first floor had a strong musty/fishy odor that remained throughout our stay. The back door handle fell off when we opened it. In the master bathroom, there was hair in the shower drain and even a pubic hair on the shower wall. There were dishes left in the dishwasher from previous guests, some of which appeared dirty. Several members of our family experienced watery eyes, coughing, and sneezing. After checking the HVAC system, we found both air filters completely clogged and had to replace them ourselves. We could also hear mice running above one of the bedrooms at night. After reporting these issues and providing photos, the rental company acknowledged many of the problems. They confirmed there had recently been an HVAC leak that required carpet treatment, admitted the cleanliness issues, and stated maintenance would come by later to address some repairs after we left. However, the only compensation offered for these inconveniences was complimentary linens on a future stay. I understand that things can go wrong in any rental property. What matters is how those issues are addressed. In this case, multiple cleanliness, maintenance, and comfort concerns were present at check-in, and the response from management did not reflect the level of inconvenience experienced by our family. Future renters should be aware of both the condition we encountered and the limited support provided after the issues were reported.

We've been with them for over 6 years and when it came time to sell they acted as our realtor got our place sold. Some key highlights: -Always filled our rental quickly if we had a tenant move out. -Fixed any maintenance issues quickly and gave us the best possible prices for repair, often doing the work themselves and doing it well. -Maintained excellent communication despite being half a world away using a combination of text, email, and voice when appropriate. They were always available. -Worked on outside when having to deal with a difficult neighbor. We've rented out a property for over 10 years now and having the right property manager will make or break the rental experience. These guys are the right ones. Do yourself a favor and go with them.

When I first applied for the home I currently am in - Chuck was AMAZING to me!!! He worked with me thru the entire process. We had very open communication of what was expected of me and what I was needing and wanting from them being a single mother and a new tenant. While being in the home I had very minor issues - however recently I lost the AC in the house. I submitted my claim thru the portal which is set up for you when you become not only one of their clients but you become part of the family! After I submitted my request to have work done on the AC we had communication. They told me they had reached out to someone to come look at the unit and I should hear from them shortly. Well within 30 minutes I had a call from the AC technician and he was at my house within the hour. He told me he was not able to fix the system but he would be in touch with me on how we were going to proceed with getting it fixed. Since the system was going to be replaced Chuck provided a AC to the house to help keep it cool and also providing comfort for my family! Anytime I have had to reach out to Rental Homes USA it has always been very pleasant and great. I am sad that I will no longer be renting from them, since I have purchased my own home out of state, but if I was to return back to the area they would be the first ones I would reach out too! I truly have felt like part of the family from day one. Everyone on Chuck's staff is AMAZING!! If you call they will answer!!!
