Even when they screw up, they do it properly. I tried to get a car loan through another CU and they just really messed it up. I came running to NFCU and they saved me. Normally it only takes a few hours to be approved but they locked my account because it appeared that someone had co-opted my account, changed my address, phone, and email, and applied for a car loan. Well...it was ME. I moved and was updating my info. I don't fault them because I agree with them that it LOOKED suspicious. I'd rather they be too cautious than not cautious enough. Within just a few days everything was fixed and I had my car loan. Then that same lousy other CU messed up my credit card for the second time. Instead of fighting with them, I just opened a NFCU credit card at 3 times the credit limit of the other CU. The card was approved within 2 hours. These folks get it right. I am SO thankful I have a car loan and credit card with NFCU. I have full confidence they're going to treat me properly. I will ALWAYS select the supplier that provides the best customer service. I'm willing to pay more for superior customer service and NFCU has broken that code. That's why I'm now with them for a long time. read more

My bank account got ripped off for 3500.00 and the service following has been short of catastrophic.Calls in queue are long and the service addressing issues can take a lifetime. I am looking for another crewdit union. read more

Fraudulent activity. Occurred in 2020. Never notified. They refuse to investigate. Service requested was denied. Inside their business, someone input other information. Quality is 0. Trust is 0. Ethics are 0. read more

Service has been spiraling downhill since lockdown. There were no tellers in the lobby yesterday and I was told to use the drive thru for service. You know how long that line was? Too long! There's a reason to go into the lobby just as there's one for the drive thru. I have been to branches in other states and this branch is proving to be ineffective. read more

Navy Federal Credit Union - Banks & Credit Unions Near Me - Spring, Texas

Customers first is NOT their mission. Christmas Eve and 20 people in line with 1 teller. A second employee came to help later but very slow line. 1 employee just greeting customers and asking them to get in line. Many customers walked up and left when they saw the line. read more

First of all, they need more locations. 2nd of all, you have a bank set up for 4 tellers, at any given moment you walk in to this bank there is only 1 teller available. And she is working her butt off. God bless her: Navy fed you NEED to be ashamed. That line can go 10/15 people long and you have ONE teller..... it took me over an hour last time. I come this morning and a old lady needs help and the teller is alone helping her. No back up? No one to help relieve the long line behind? Nope. Just have all your fellow service man and woman wait long uneasy time periods to do simple banking task. Not to mention the ATMs suck. Ugh. Hate this bank so much. I absolute dread having to do anything here read more

The absolute most incompetent financial institution I've ever encountered. No one who works here is capable of making an intelligent decision or completing simple tasks. I dread any occurrence where I have to work with this bank. read more

Navy federal is lacking in many areas. Not being able to access my own money as well as customer service could care less if it is an emergency. Then I was given the option to use western union but their western union system was down for maintenance. I have been with Navy federal since 2020 and I have not had a good experience yet. I will be moving my money and closing my account on Tuesday. I have 3 little ones and not being able to access my money in an emergency is ridiculous. When I told the customer service person I would be closing my account she simply said "okay". Not trying to resolve my problem or helping at all. I will never use Navy federal again and I do not recommend them for banking options. read more

Very rude and unprofessional banker by the name of Tiffany. Wasn't welcoming didn't want to answer any questions we had. Made us feel very uncomfortable. Please train your bankers to have better customer service. read more

Not a fan. Opened savings and secured credit card. If you transfer money over your limit and don't use the whole amount the funds are placed on hold until the next processing day??? If you're lucky and talk to a nice human (rare) they might release funds same day. Most of my contact with customer service has been less than pleasant. Drive thru ATM ALWAYS OUT OF ORDER!!!!! After a year of inconvenience I finally decided this place would s not worth the hassles. Closed account. GOOD BYE!!!! read more

the management seems to avoid or ignore the clients waiting for very long periods of time. There is a poor efficiency with working higher traffic periods of time. if the branch is expected to have higher traffic then lunches would be scheduled appropriately to make sure the client is serviced in a reasonable amount of time. the purpose of my visit was collecting an auto loan check which was not a very long process to completed but the fact that the teller cannot perform the task is very concerning since majority of the process is already completed online. I would highly recommend more training on time management. if a client is taking more time than an 30-40 mins they should be scheduled out for an appointment. read more

Honestly I expected a bank associated with the military to care about veterans but they don't. They're just a regular bank that will input anything possible to get every dime outta you. it is what it is. some people have been helpful over the years but recently it seems like they only care about how much money they can get outta you. read more

While I appreciate having a good Credit Union to bank with the customer service here is very subpar. You are not greeted by the tellers nor given a courtesy we will be right with you. The wait time was massive. read more

Do NOT get an auto loan with NFCU. They have a very POOR policy which of course they will not initially inform you of about paying off your loan early. When logging into their website and you wish to pay off your loan balance early, it will not accept more than $10k at a time which means you have to wait for that amount to be cleared before you can make another payment towards paying off your loan. The SCAM is they are now getting daily interest while you wait for each payment to clear. Now I have to go out of my way to the local branch and hand them one check to pay off my auto loan to prevent additional interest using their website. After doing auto loan business with many other banks I have always been able to just pay off the balance on line regardless of the amount, and in ONE increment. Also they do not list a local phone number for the branches so you have to call the 888 number and be transferred to them. My next car will NOT be financed through NFCU that's for sure. .......BEWARE.........and look at all their other bad reviews as well on other issues and their canned replies fom management. read more

They are prejudice!! Service is horrible same transaction request I made to deposit check that was signed over to me with my daughter standing there with Id they refused because of the large amount of check issued from the state of Texas comptroller's office watermarked! They had no problem assisting the caucasian male and his child requesting the same service!! The staff is all white and rude as hell!!! Never have I been so upset seeing in all three of the accounts I owned had 10* the amount of the check! read more

I have been with Navy Federal Credit Union for 30 years now. I have always had a wonderful experience with them. I financed two different homes with them. Whenever I or my kids lose a card or something is charged because of fraud they cancel it and overnight a new one. I have never been charged one cent for any of my many accounts. The best thing about NFCU is because they server the military who are stationed around the world, they are ALWAYS OPEN 24/7/365 so if you need something, they are open. I highly recommend NFCU because it's yours/ours and not some company's. read more

Worst experience EVER!! I've been a member with Navy Federal for over 10 years. I was so excited to finally get a bank close enough to Houston and drove over an hour just to go in and not receive the service that I expected. They refused to change my name!! I showed proof of my name change with a new ID and social. Even showed my old ID with the name that they had and sent an amended divorce decree and yet that wasn't enough to change my freaking name!! It was a waist of time and even with the supervisor there was no help!! At this point I'd rather just use a stupid bank because member service was trash today!! read more

I rushed here from work and pulled in right at 5:01 and Alexis Was nice enough to stay and still let me be seen after another car. Truly appreciate her and her willingness to help. read more

I am a former member of USAA and wasn't happy that there wasn't a branch close to me. I have been with Navy Federal for 2 years now and I have never had better service. They make everything so easy. The only issue is that I get paid 1 day earlier instead of 2 for my government benefits. The best pet is that whenever they receive a pending deposit if 3 days earlier they can release it then instead of waiting!!! Thanks so much!! read more

My first visit here was better than expected. I was only in for a small transaction but it went really well. Alexis assisted me, she was professional and attentive. I look forward to utilizing this branch in the future. read more

Wow. Navy Federal Credit Union is the WORST bank I've EVER been in business with! I've had an account for less than 2 months, and this is the second time that a business has charged my card twice for the same transaction. So I call, and any other bank would credit the account and look into it. This man said, I will send you a form. So I need to fill out a form, send it back, and when they receive it, my account will be credited in 1-2 business days. Then they wanna charge ME $29 for another company charging my account twice. Never in my life have I heard of this. I'm closing my account as soon as possible. read more

Love this credit union. They are efficient and very helpful. Very busy branch but each person I interacted with, was polite and courteous.
