I found, after 3 wasted telephone calls that i may as well not bothered with, due mainly to language difficulties. Twice, i was sent 2 Secure Keys, both of which turned out to be faulty. I then decided to see a Bank manager. The HSBC Guisborough was the nearest which had good parking facilities nearby. After around 15 minutes with Mr Oliver Russel everything was sorted to my total satisfaction!

I dealt with a bloke called Wayne (I think he's something to do with business, but he helped me with my personal banking enquiry) and he was top dog. Banking with a sense of humour at last! The staff are always polite and it always looks tidy inside. I've never had to queue here so even when I drop my quick payment envelopes off I can hand them directly to the staff behind the counter. As an account provider I wouldn't recommend Barclays but, as a branch, this is one of the better ones.

This branch is right next to Bells in town and very convenient. There is a cash machine outside. Unlike Natwest I find that a suitable number of desks are open and the queues move very quickly. The girls are polite and helpful. There is also a selection of free pens available! If their interest rates were better I'd move to them for my current account too! The staff are helpful and recently when i was in sorting my account the staff member was chatting with my children and gave them pens and paper to draw while we sorted stuff. Over all good, just annoys me I have to wait if it is not possible to use the cash machine or the paying in drawer (I prefer a receipt) There is a car park out back but it is often very busy with people double parking. But there are others in town that are not a busy if you don't mind walking across the road.
